He pointed directly at Derick.

All the police officers turned to look at Derick.

"What nonsense are you talking about? How could I possibly break the law?"

Randal took out a stack of documents, laying them out one by one in front of Derick.

"This one is the record of your company's tax evasion."

"This one is the evidence of bribery for that project a while back."

"And this one, and this one... they are all evidence of your company's crimes. What else do you have to say for yourself?"

Derick flipped through the documents carefully before tossing them aside.

"You think you can slander me with just a few words printed on white paper? I think you're just jealous that I married Lidia, aren't you?"

"Everyone knows it! You were depressed for three whole years over her!"

So Randal had waited for me for so long, and I had no idea.

Back then, I was so blinded by love that after my whirlwind marriage to Derick, I didn't see Randal for a very long time.
