It wasn't as if he defeated Uchiha Inabi, and in the next moment, Uchiha Fugaku would come knocking on his door to challenge him, was it? Regarding Shisui's timeline information, there are roughly these points:
1. Manga Chapter 222, Sasuke's flashback, Shisui commits suicide by jumping into a river;
2. Manga Chapter 459, Ao's flashback, he (a Kiri ninja) once fought Shisui;
3. Manga Chapter 550, Killer Bee's account, the Uchiha clan's strongest genjutsu user, Shisui of the Body Flicker; same chapter, Uchiha Itachi's account, Kotoamatsukami has a cooldown of over ten years, unless one has Senju Hashirama's chakra;
4. Manga Chapter 590, in Itachi's genjutsu flashback, Shisui's right eye is taken, he entrusts his left eye, and commits suicide; same chapter, Shisui once tried to use Kotoamatsukami to stop the clan's coup;
5. Manga Chapter 627, Sarutobi Hiruzen's account, Shisui is a descendant of Uchiha Kagami (not necessarily a direct child).

Uchiha Shisui is born, is active in the Third War (Years 48-50), awakens his Mangekyo during the war and uses Kotoamatsukami, and dies in peacetime.
Based on this calculation:
