I reincarnated as one of the Three Stooges in a fantasy world

Chapter 6

Dungeon and Idiots

It was nighttime, and a hurt 10-year-old child was walking down the street and arrived at a house with cracked windows. The boy hesitated for a second but entered and saw a man sitting in the living room and a woman in a wheelchair. They both smiled, but when they saw him, that smile disappeared and both vanished. Everything around turned dark, and then he felt three hands grabbing his foot. Looking down, he saw three people—one with an open head wound, another with a slit throat, and the last completely burned—all crying and screaming.

"Die, you bastard, why won't you disappear? Burn in hell, you shouldn't have been born…"

And then everything vanished and Enrico opened his eyes, with the sun hitting his face. He raised his hand to block it and stood up.

"Damn, it's already morning. I have to get ready to return and my whole body hurts."

Enrico stretched and grabbed his backpack. His clothes were all torn, revealing the bandages on his body.

"Better not show up at the academy like this. I'll pass through the city first."

Enrico began walking and after about forty minutes he arrived in the city, going into a clothing store. The attendants were surprised, thinking he was a beggar, but Enrico showed money and bought new clothes—a white shirt with gray pants.

"I have little money now. Calm down, just one more week and I'll receive the monthly payment from the Solcren family."

[You woke up.]

Enrico turned to the system. "Where did she go?"

[It's a secret.]

"Of course, of course…"

[What are you going to do now? After yesterday, you should rest.]

Enrico smiled.

"Oh, how cute, the system is worried about me."

[No, I just don't want my host to break too quickly.]

Enrico made a face and smile that showed disbelief.

"Anyway, I'll go back to the academy, and as you said, rest for at least two more hours before continuing to train."

[I meant resting the whole day.]

Enrico sighed.

"If I stop training, even for a bit, the difference between me and the main characters will only grow. All of them have great evolution potential, while Enrico has below-average evolution potential. Just look at the percentage of my Zero Circle."

Magic: Fire – Zero Circle 28%

"It took me a week to gain three percent. If it continues like this, it'll take months to reach the First Circle, and the main characters will already be at the Third Circle."

Enrico entered a cart that took people to the academy city and saw that the city he left was huge. Of course, the continent in this world is larger than Earth, so the territories are big. It's actually a bit strange, because this continent is a combination of five countries—Japan, Italy, England, Brazil, and China—and there are five major cities representing each country on the continent. The other continents also have their own combinations, but they are all far from each other, taking several weeks to reach a new continent.

"City Sanos, where the greatest heroes are born. It represents England and houses the two most powerful families on the continent, as well as the best academy. No wonder they're so strong."

[If they're so strong, then why did you say that in a future arc the academy would be blocked by a barrier?]

"As I said, it wasn't revealed who placed the barrier, but I suspect it might have been one of the 43 Evil Gods—and a strong one—because the current strongest man only managed to break the barrier and free the students and teachers after two years of understanding the concept of the barrier, which was spatial."

Enrico got off and saw the academy, but entered sneakily and hid.

[Are you a bandit, walking around like that?]

Enrico looked around—left, right, and forward—then quickly ran and hid behind a wall.

"If the student council president sees me all injured, she might think I was training and tell the protagonist, and if that happens, then my plan to defeat the protagonist could fail."

"Enrico."

Enrico trembled and turned to see who it was. He sighed in relief. "Good thing, it's just Serenya and the two stooges."

[Don't forget you're the third.]

"You never let one go, do you?"

Elian approached with Caelan, and both looked at his body.

"Why are you injured?"

Enrico started thinking fast to come up with an excuse.

"I heard you went to your parents' house. Don't tell me they…"

She narrowed her eyes, and then Enrico nodded up and down, affirming, "Screw it, I can use this."

"Yes, you know my family is difficult."

Serenya's hair covered her eyes while Enrico scratched his neck nervously, and Elian stopped and patted his back.

"Damn, this time they really went hard on you."

Enrico winced in pain, and Elian apologized. Serenya seemed to return to normal and pointed behind her.

"Let's go. We have to go soon."

"Go where?"

Serenya gave a smile.

"You've been avoiding this for a week, but now we're going to that warehouse they say is cursed, and you're not escaping."

Enrico looked at her walking and was dragged by Elian and Caelan. "Why do I feel like she's trying to cheer me up? Either way, I wish I'd avoided that warehouse."

Enrico looked up at the sky. "At least I'll try not to let these idiots activate the dungeon."

---

There are two types of dungeons: normal and true dungeons. They are completely different from each other but share something in common—all were created by a god. A normal dungeon is considered a god's failure when trying to create a new world, so as if it were trash, they throw it into this world and place a reward for whoever completes it. That's also why there are so many dungeons in the world, as gods try to create a world every day to reach the level of a primordial god.

Now, true dungeons, unlike normal ones, don't just have monsters inside. Inside, everything is real—a new world with a solar system, other races, a completely new dimension just for that world. All worlds are in the same place, as if the dimensions live on top of each other. The problem is that since this world is where everything originates—because it's where those gods were born—every so often a true dungeon opens, and those who enter assume another identity of a person from that world until they complete the mission, which can take years. This also happens when that world may be heading to its end, so the god who created it opens a portal, as if asking to save the world he built.

"The gods in this world are quite lazy. Why don't they fix it themselves? Instead, they place the responsibility on someone else and leave."

Enrico walked and saw the warehouse—very creepy, with creaking windows—and it was quite large. The warehouse was located outside the academy, in a field a little beyond the city.

"She probably didn't even ask for permission to leave the academy and took the others with her."

On one hand, Enrico was lucky that this dungeon was a normal one, but on the other, if it activates at their level, they'll be eliminated easily. This dungeon forced the protagonist to reach the Third Circle not to die, along with other friends.

The four entered the warehouse and saw most of it was dark. Elian's legs were trembling as he said:

"See? It's not that scary."

Caelan stood like a statue, unwilling to move, and Serenya walked very slowly. Enrico's eyes turned white. "If you're scared, why did you come?"

A noise sounded nearby, and Serenya let out a small scream and threw a chair. Enrico jumped in front of it and was hit. Serenya looked at him in disbelief.

"Why did you jump in front? You're injured."

"You were going to hit a beautiful vase. I couldn't let that happen."

Enrico's nose was bleeding while she took out a cloth and started cleaning his face, and the two behind her shook their heads.

"You always like those vases. I could buy new ones if I wanted, so no need for that."

Yes, the original Enrico liked collecting vases, so it was a good excuse. There are two ways to open this dungeon: one is finding the portal, and the other is a trap activation, where breaking two vases of different colors automatically activates it.

Caelan heard another noise and, with courage he shouldn't have had, ran to check it. But as he went a bit forward, Enrico grabbed his shoulder and looked at him with a dark aura.

"No splitting up."

"Right."

Elian stepped back and hit a table, causing its vase to fall. But with a speed he shouldn't have had, Enrico dived and caught the vase.

"Oops, sorry."

"You did that on purpose, didn't you?"

"How did you know?"

After that, Enrico protected all the vases and didn't let them get near the cabinet, always distracting them with something else.

"Well, it's not as scary as I thought."

"It's actually kind of fun."

"Hehehehe."

"I'm going to kill you two."

Both laughed while Enrico looked at them with death in his eyes.

[In the original story, they wouldn't have gone to that warehouse on that Sunday if you hadn't taken over the body, right?]

"Why do I feel like you're enjoying this?"

[Of course I am.]

The system made a laughing face appear on the screen. "I really want to strangle her."

"In the original story, before they entered, they got caught and were forbidden to leave for two weeks, even on weekends, as punishment. And they never went back there."

[Oh, tough luck for you.]

While Enrico thought of curse words for the system, Serenya looked at the three and then a hidden smile appeared. She shouted:

"All right! It's decided—this will be our secret base and my special hideout!"

"Yes, ma'am!"

"Yes, ma'am!"

"What?"

[Hahahahaha]
