A Game of Favors

Chapter 236 - A Game of Favors

I sipped my coffee as Patricia Bishop paced in front of me, her Louboutins clicking against my marble floor with each anxious step.

"Vivienne, I'm telling you, this isn't good," she insisted, wringing her hands. "Dylan has been meeting with the Walsh family almost every day this week."

I set my cup down on the coffee table, keeping my expression placid. Patricia's perpetual state of anxiety was exhausting, especially this early in the morning.

"He goes to see his grandmother, Patricia," I explained patiently. "Catherine's family happens to be there."

"But what if they're reconciling? What if—"

"They're not," I said firmly. "Dylan isn't interested in Catherine."

Patricia stopped pacing and faced me directly, her eyes wide with concern. "Then why is he spending so much time with her and her family? Eleanor's recovery is going well. He doesn't need to be there every day."
