Chapter 21 The Crow's Prophecy

Renekton and Paz stayed in the bedroom until the housekeeper came upstairs to inform them that dinner was ready, and then he twisted Paz's neck and went downstairs. Paz raised his cat paws to resist, but was suppressed.

This black cat always failed to respond when asked key questions, and would just say "I'm just a cat" when asked further.

There was a portion of dried fish in today's dinner, which seemed to be a temporary addition. It was probably because the housekeeper told Aunt Sally that there was a black cat in the house, so a portion of dried fish was temporarily added.

"Sorry to bother Aunt Sally, and you specially added a dish temporarily." Renekton picked up a dried fish and put it in Paz's tableware. Paz was on Renekton's left hand side, and its tableware was a large white porcelain plate, which should be a plate for fruits, but was temporarily used as Paz's tableware.

"These are some dried sea fish that I stockpiled before. Sally only processed them a little bit. It's not a big deal. I originally planned to keep them for this winter, so I bought a lot. It won't hurt to give some to this black cat." The housekeeper's words are always explained very well.

"Well, it shouldn't stay for too long." Renekton nodded.

If what Paz said before is correct, then the matter in the hospital is definitely not as simple as it seems. The power of the Knowledge Church in Madan is not enough to handle this matter. The Church of the Mother Earth must be notified as soon as possible to deal with this problem. The clown has become a Sequence 5 strongman from an ordinary person in just one month. In a few days, he may become a demigod.

After finishing dinner absent-mindedly, Renekton casually found an excuse that he didn't sleep well last night and wanted to rest early today. He asked the housekeeper not to disturb him later. Then he took Paz to the second floor, threw Paz on the ground and let him stay alone.

The master bedroom on the second floor has a large balcony, but this bedroom is the room of Renekton's parents, although they may not stay there several times a year. Renekton opened the door of the master bedroom and came to the balcony. Renekton wanted to see if he could find the crow that liked to stand on the street lamp. When Renekton came back from the Executioner Team today, he did not see the crow appear. He was a little unsure whether it had come here now.

On the balcony on the second floor, Renekton looked around several times and looked away in disappointment.

"What are you looking for?" A low, hoarse, and gender-indeterminate voice sounded from the swing chair behind Renekton.

Renekton did not look back. He took two steps forward before turning around. One hand touched the pistol on his waist, and the other hand tightly grasped the small metal box containing bronze phosphorus in his pocket.

The picture that Renekton imagined, a person wearing a red dress and tailcoat, a tall red top hat, and an exaggerated and funny clown smile on his face, sitting in the swing chair and quietly watching Renekton, did not appear.

Only a crow with one wing, two legs and some red feathers on its head stood on the back of the swing chair, and a pair of gilded eyes quietly stared at him.

"Huh~" Renekton breathed a sigh of relief. However, he did not completely relax. Although he knew that the gun would not have any effect on the opponent, he still held the gun in his hand. As long as the opponent made any unusual movements, he would immediately draw the gun and shoot. He did not need the bullet to hit the opponent, but only needed to transmit the sound of the gun.

"When did you stand here?" Renekton asked tentatively.

"It has always been here, but you just didn't notice it." The crow just opened his mouth and did not speak, but the sound rang directly in Renekton's mind.

At this time, Renekton noticed that he did not seem to hear the sound just now. The sound rang directly in his mind, but he was too shocked and panicked to notice these details.

"I remember that there was clearly nothing here just now. Psychological invisibility?" Renekton asked tentatively.

"It doesn't matter. Are you looking for me?" The crow in front of him shook his head, and the other party's voice continued to ring in Renekton's mind, and the other party's tone became very firm.

"Yes." Renekton nodded honestly, and then repeated what he had just learned from Pas.

The expression of the crow opposite gradually became solemn, and Renekton didn't know how he could read the expression on a crow's face.

"I can't handle this matter, I'm just a crow." The crow opposite said.

Renekton's face became strange, and it felt like this had become the catchphrase of their magical animals.

"Then go inform the Church of Mother Earth?" Renekton asked tentatively.

"No, no meow!" Pas didn't know when he discovered the situation here and ran over.

"Why not?" Renekton stared at Pas's cat face and asked back. This cat had something to tell him just now.

Renekton's eyes staring at Pas became dangerous. The crow next to him also looked at the kitten that came out with interest. It had seen this cat last night. At that time, the other party was in a hallucination with a group of cat brothers, chasing and beating those stray dogs everywhere. Pas was a little scared by the eyes of Renekton and the crow, and his tail stood up.

"Meow~ I don't know either. It's just that when Elisa and Zorn were chatting, they mentioned that there were things that couldn't be discovered by the Church of Mother Earth, so the Church of Mother Earth couldn't be notified." After struggling for a while, Pas finally compromised. He said that Renekton might really not tell the Church of Mother Earth about this matter. If he didn't tell it, he would probably be thrown to the clown by this scary human in front of him and made into a cat pie.

Renekton turned his head to see the reaction of the big guy disguised as a crow, but it was a pity that Renekton couldn't read the expression of a bird.

"Okay!" Renekton nodded to comfort Pas. Anyway, the captain must have notified the Church of Mother Earth. Notifying them again would only make them pay more attention to this matter. The people in the Church of Mother Earth were not stupid. They might have discovered the problem a long time ago.     Renekton turned his gaze to the crow standing on the back of the hanging chair again, and asked carefully: "Are you the person who secretly protects me in the Church of Knowledge?"

This is Renekton's guess. This crow seems to have been following him since he got the bronze phosphorus from the captain yesterday afternoon. It seems that it has no ill will towards him at present. And according to what Pas said before, it should be it that scared the clown away last night.

"No, I just felt a familiar breath on you and made some predictions, so I am observing you around." The crow's words were completely different from what Renekton expected.

Just when he was about to ask the other party what the familiar breath was, Renekton saw that the crow's originally gilded eyes turned pure white, and there was a little light blue fluorescence flowing around the eyes. Renekton stood there, not knowing what happened, and could only stand quietly by the side waiting for the crow's next reaction. After

a while, the white in the crow's eyes faded, and the fluorescence flowing around it gradually faded. The crow looked at Renekton, and his expressionless face seemed heavy, and his eyes were quite solemn.

"I saw a prophecy!" The low, hoarse, gender-indeterminable voice of the crow sounded in Renekton's mind.

"What prophecy?" Renekton's eyes lit up, and he felt like a new light had come out of the dark clouds.

"If you take this cat to that hospital now, there will be additional developments, and the story may have a better ending." The crow's voice kept echoing in Renekton's mind.

"Meow! Why are you staring at that crow? And you're still talking to yourself in front of it, and it can't speak, meow~" Pas looked at Renekton strangely, as if he was looking at a fool.

Renekton reached out and hugged Pas on the side.

"What are you doing, meow! I already have an owner, you can't touch me casually." Pas thought Renekton wanted to pet the cat, and kept struggling in his arms.

"Do me a favor and take me downstairs." Renekton said to the crow standing on the back of the hanging chair while holding Pas.

The crow flapped its wings and flew up from the back of the chair, and then flew straight into the night sky. Renekton was stunned in place. Just as he was about to say something, his eyes blurred. When Renekton's vision recovered, he saw that the scene around him had changed from the large balcony on the second floor to the street downstairs.

After being shocked for a moment, Renekton hugged the black cat Paz in his arms and ran to the other side of Baifeng Street where he could take a carriage.

"Meow~Meow! What are you doing? Where are you going? You can't send me back to the hospital, I will be eaten by that clown." Paz struggled hard in his arms and tried to escape.

"Shut up, listen to me, do you still want to save your master Eliza? She may be in danger now. The people from the Church of Mother Earth have known about the hospital for a long time." Renekton made up a reason and said.

"What? How is it possible? If they knew, they would have rushed into the hospital a long time ago. Impossible meow~" Paz didn't believe what Renekton said.

"Why not? Don't you think about how many things have happened in the hospital recently? This is Feynaport, the place of the Earth Mother Church. How could they not know? They have only been secretly observing and waiting for the opportunity." Renekton said his guess that the Earth Mother Church had not appeared in this incident.

"How could this be? Humans are so cunning! Meow! I will go and inform Eliza now that we are leaving Feynaport." Paz agreed with Renekton's words, but struggled even harder. Renekton was freed by Paz without paying attention. Paz was ready to run away immediately after landing.

"Don't run yet. Have you forgotten that the clown is also in the hospital? Stupid cat! The most important thing for you now is to follow me and be my assistant. Let's sneak into the hospital together during the chaos, instead of giving away human heads and cat heads one by one." Renekton finally fooled the cat. Although this cat is most likely only a Sequence Nine, its combat power is definitely stronger than that of a Sequence Eight who is not good at fighting. How could Renekton let it slip away? He must keep it by his side as a bodyguard.

"Then hurry up, meow." Paz said anxiously.

"Wait until I can get a horse-drawn carriage. There are not enough horse-drawn carriages in the city at this time. It's really troublesome. It would be great if you could become a big cat." Renekton looked at the size of Paz's ordinary adult blue cat and shook his head with a little pity.

"What terrible things are you thinking about, meow!" Paz felt something and stood there with fur standing on the spot, staring at Renekton vigilantly.

"I was wondering if you could contact your cat-and-cat special forces and let them go to get some information first." Renekton said nonsense without changing his expression.

"No, that clown is too scary. Several cats in my cat-and-cat special forces have been brutally killed by him. I can't let the cats in my cat-and-cat special forces take risks." Paz shook his head and rejected Renekton's proposal.

"But I can ask the cats and big dogs nearby when I get there. They should know some news." Thinking that his master was still waiting for him to go back and save him, Paz thought for a while and said again.

Renekton did not respond, but picked up the black cat that was following him, and quickly ran to a carriage parked at the intersection ahead.Chapter 22 Accident! Clown!!

Sitting in the carriage with Paz on the way to the Crimson Senior Hospital, Renekton looked at the row houses that were constantly receding outside the carriage, feeling a little uneasy.

"Master, can you go a little faster? I'm in a hurry to get to the hospital." Renekton called the coachman.

"This is already very fast. Although there are fewer pedestrians at night, the visibility is not good. Driving too fast can easily cause accidents. Are you in such a hurry to go to the hospital because your relatives are sick? Although you are worried about your relatives, you can't ignore your own safety!" The coachman naggingly said.

"Yes, Master, you are right." Renekton said in a different tone.

"Meow~" Paz looked at Renekton in confusion.

Renekton ignored it, just stroked the cat's head with one hand, and chatted with the driver: "Master, do you know what happened recently in the Crimson Senior Hospital? If the doctors there were not better than those in other hospitals, I would not let my friend go there for treatment."

"I know, how could I not know? The news has almost spread throughout the city. Only those high-ranking people don't know about these things." When the driver mentioned these gossips, he was like opening a box of chatterboxes. Without Renekton's deliberate guidance, he said all the news he knew.

"It is said that at the beginning, the sheriff went there twice, but did not find out anything. Instead, he thought that the patients in the hospital were reporting false cases and gave a warning. Later, the Sheriff's Bureau did not care about the matter there. Who knows if they really don't care or just find an excuse for their incompetence!" The coachman's tone sounded like he had a bad impression of the Sheriff's Bureau.

In this era, the contradiction between the people at the bottom of society and the people with certain class status and rights is always the most acute and prominent. One side tried its best to survive, while the other side was caught between the decisions of the lower-class people and the upper-class people, becoming the chain to maintain the fragile order, being despised by the lower-class people and ignored by the upper-class leaders.

Renekton shook his head and did not respond to the driver's words. This was an inevitable result of the development of an era to a certain extent, and it would not change because of personal will.

"Perhaps this is also the reason why so many people believe in evil gods! Extreme repression will inevitably lead to madness." Renekton thought of the cult organizations in the original book that were more numerous than the Orthodox Church, and the terrorist incidents and even disasters that would happen from time to time, and sighed in his heart.

If possible, Renekton would be willing to change this situation, but this was not something he could do. At least at the moment, Sequence Eight was far from enough.

"Fool! It's almost June 1349, and there is still more than half a year. I have to speed up the digestion of the potion. If I want to do something in this world, Klein's promotion speed in the later period is too fast. If I can't open up a gap in the early stage, in the end I can only be a spectator like the members of the Tarot Club." A sense of urgency filled his heart.

"What are you thinking about? Meow~" Paz shook his little paw in front of Renekton.

"Thinking about life. Why are you talking all of a sudden?" Renekton looked at the black cat Paz standing on his lap in confusion.

Paz raised his neck, revealing a thin black rope, under which hung a small black wooden sign. Because the color of the rope and the wood piece was too close to Paz's hair, the rope and the wooden sign had been hidden in the fluff on Paz's neck, and Renekton had never noticed that Paz had such a thing on him before.

"No wonder you are so disgusted by me twisting your neck, it turns out there is something hidden!" After looking at the coachman Renekton who turned a blind eye to Paz's scene just now, he probably knew the function of this thing.

"Is it used to weaken your sense of existence? Or to exhaust the perception of ordinary people?" Renekton asked.

"Of course, I want to block ordinary people's perception of me, so that they will think that whatever I do is normal. Of course, I can't do anything that stimulates them too much, such as jumping onto ordinary people, so that their cognition will break through this cognitive barrier, meow~" Paz raised his head proudly and stared at Renekton.

"It's a magical item that has no use, but it's just right for you." Renekton nodded.

"This carriage is so slow! How long will it take to get to the hospital, meow~" Paz jumped onto Renekton's shoulder again and complained while looking at the street lights and houses that kept moving backwards on both sides.

"Whoa~~" The horse pulling the carriage in front seemed to have hit something and fell to the ground, and the whole carriage was pulled sideways.

"Meow~ Meow~!" Paz was thrown out of the carriage without standing still, and Renekton jumped out of the carriage immediately, rolling on the ground for a few rounds before climbing up. Fortunately, he had just been abused unilaterally by Xia in the afternoon, and his body's instinctive reaction was still there. After jumping out of the carriage, he protected his vital parts very well, but his back was a little painful.

After seeing Renekton, Paz jumped up and came to Renekton. As a cat, he twisted his body when he was thrown out of the carriage, and then landed gracefully.

  "What happened, meow~" Paz asked.

"The carriage was tripped by vines on the road. There must have been a battle between extraordinary people ahead. The vines that can trip the carriage in the middle of the road look like the work of the Earth Mother Church." When Renekton stood up, he could see the situation ahead clearly.

The originally clean and flat road had some potholes, and there were several vines and withered leaves on the ground that were larger than the cat Paz. The carriage was tripped by a vine on the ground just now.

Renekton walked up and helped the coachman up, and gave him some money for carriage fare and medicine: "This money is for your carriage fare and medicine. You and the horse need treatment for your injuries. I'll leave first. This place is not far from the hospital, I can walk there by myself."

"Pas, follow me." Renekton turned around and greeted him, then walked towards the direction of the Crimson Advanced Hospital.     Paz followed Renekton briskly. The vines and dead branches on the ground had no effect on it at all. The man and the cat quickly disappeared from the driver's sight.

"Oh, why are there vines everywhere on the ground, meow." Paz complained after jumping over another vine.

"The Church of the Earth controls the cultivator path. Sequence Seven has the ability to catalyze plant growth and mutation. It seems that a harvest priest has fought with someone here. We have to be careful. No matter which side it is, they may not be friendly to us." Renekton analyzed.

"Cultivator? Not the ancient alchemist meow~" Paz asked in confusion.

"You know the ancient alchemist?" Renekton turned his head and looked at the black cat in surprise.

Paz was a little annoyed by Renekton's stare and shook his body twice, trying to change the subject.

"Bang!" There was a sound of heavy objects falling to the ground in front, and Renekton and Paz looked at each other.

"Go ahead and see what it is." Renekton gestured to Paz to explore the way.

"No, why don't you go? I'm just a cat!" Paz immediately shook his head and refused.

"You are the arbitrator, and you are a cat. You will not arouse suspicion, and you have the ability to protect yourself. My path has no ability to fight head-on in the early stage. Of course, you go to the front to explore the way." Renekton seriously deceived Paz to go to the front to find out the situation.

"Okay, meow~ But if something happens, you have to come to rescue me immediately." Paz nodded, and the cat face looked at Renekton seriously and said.

"No problem, we are so familiar with each other, are you still worried about me?" Renekton patted his chest and promised.

Paz meowed and ran quickly to the place where the sound came from in front. Renekton did not wait there. He took out the pistol from the gun bag on his waist, put his other hand in the pocket of his coat, holding a confinement spell, and approached cautiously. Renekton had marked the two spells before, so that he could know which spell he was holding without looking.

"Meow!" Paz's cry came from the front, full of panic. Renekton didn't care about being cautious and rushed forward quickly.

In front of him, Paz was confronting a clown wearing a tall red hat, a red tuxedo and trousers, dark red leather shoes, exaggerated makeup on his face, and a face as white as flour, but with a grin that stretched all the way to his ears. To be precise, Paz was retreating step by step, while the clown maintained his exaggerated and morbid elegance, approaching Paz and a corpse next to him step by step.

The moment he saw the clown, Renekton's steps forward suddenly stopped, and an invisible fear filled his heart.

"Hey! Kitty, I didn't expect you to be here. I've been looking for you in the hospital for a long time. The days without you to play games with me are really extra long! Let's play together!" The clown's voice was a little hoarse and crazy, with a unique bewitching, and those who listened to him would unconsciously fall into contemplation and confusion.

"No! Listen to him, hurry up! Kill him!" The body lying next to Paz was not dead yet, making a painful sound, reaching out to grab something, but finally fell down powerlessly.

As Renekton approached slowly, he secretly opened his Eye of Secrets and watched the scene in front of him. In Renekton's eyes, the guy who was already a corpse could still speak. Moreover, after Renekton eased the tense emotions caused by the sudden encounter with the clown he feared the most, he found that the pressure from the clown was far less terrifying than the last time.

The person who was originally a corpse in Renekton's eyes appeared with a strange spiritual glow, full of traces of artificial transformation. A message "alchemical transformation" appeared in Renekton's mind. As for the clown who kept approaching Pas, Renekton found through the feedback of the Eye of Secrets that the other party was only Sequence Eight. Although it was a bit strange, the spiritual glow on the other party was nearly twice as strong as that of the average Sequence Eight, but it was indeed only a Sequence Eight. However, there were also traces of stitching on the clown, not stitching on the body or soul, but stitching together two different extraordinary characteristics.

The clown was getting closer and closer to Pas, and Pas's hair was about to explode.

  "Meow!"

Paz called out threateningly, and there was a sense of majesty in his voice that made people unconsciously want to believe in it. This was the ability of a Sequence Nine Arbitrator. The clown seemed to be stimulated and suddenly rushed towards Paz.

Paz jumped away reflexively. The clown did not touch Paz, but he did not stop, but continued to rush over.

"His target is me. He was just pretending just now." Renekton suddenly reacted. The clown was very fast and was already in front of him.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Renekton quickly drew his gun and shot, regardless of whether he aimed or not. At the same time, he quickly turned his body to the side and dodged. Chapter 23 Fierce Fighting

The Joker was very fast, but Renekton's shooting skills were very poor. Even though the Joker was close enough, he still missed a single bullet. In order to avoid the Joker's oncoming attack, Renekton could only quickly dodge to the side.

The Joker's arm was like a strong wind, rubbing against Renekton's head violently. Fortunately, Renekton turned his head away based on his intuitive prediction, but Renekton still felt a slight sting on his left cheek, which should be a scratch.

"Meow!" A loud and majestic cat cry sounded.

Renekton and the Joker paused at the same time, but the Joker recovered first and swept a whip kick. Renekton only had time to retreat and protect the vital part of his chest. Renekton flew backwards, his whole body seemed to be run over by a carriage, and directly hit the lamppost of the gas street lamp behind him.

Renekton only felt a burning pain in his back, and his left arm, which was blocking the outside, seemed to be broken. His chest also felt tight because of the huge impact.

"Meow~!" Another loud and majestic cat cry came.

The clown's attack was interrupted, and Renekton breathed a sigh of relief. By this time, Pas had overcome his inner fear and rushed towards the clown like a black stream of light. However, the clown easily dodged Pas's attack as if he had predicted it.

While Pas was entangled with the clown, Renekton supported the gas lamp post behind him and stood up while enduring the tearing pain on his body.

"He is different from the previous clown. He is only Sequence 8." Renekton panted.

"Hahaha! I like your eyes very much." After hearing Renekton's words, the clown no longer paid attention to Pas, turned his head and stared at Renekton, the malice in his eyes was so strong that it seemed to be real.

"The smell on him hasn't changed. It's him, meow!" The pupils of Paz's amber eyes dilated, trying to see every detail of the clown.

"Hey, hey! Guess who I am!" The clown's words were full of madness and bewitching.

Paz's stress reaction made it not listen to what the clown said at all. It sprinted and jumped up quickly and pounced on the clown.

The clown flexibly twisted its body to avoid it, and at the same time, one hand quietly touched Paz in mid-air, "Hiss~Hiss!" The sound of the electric current running wildly was particularly harsh in the silent night.

"Meow~!" Paz screamed and fell to the ground, his hind legs still twitching.

Is this intensity of electric shock really a trick of the eighth level of sequence? Renekton was confused, but he didn't have time to think about it.

After dealing with Paz, the clown attacked Renekton again. Renekton squatted down at the moment the clown attacked, protecting his head with both hands and rolling forward.

"Bang!" Behind him was the sound of a street lamp being hit violently. Renekton could only be thankful that the blow did not fall on him, otherwise he would have lost half his life.

The Joker quickly pulled away, and Renekton turned around and fired again. Because the distance was very close, he did not miss this time, but the Joker's body twisted strangely at an incredible angle to avoid the bullet.

  "Shock!" Renekton shouted loudly.

At the same time, one hand reached into his pocket and pinched a talisman.

"Meow~" A majestic but obviously weak and painful cat cry sounded. The Joker had a strong resistance to Pas's shock.

"Imprison!" A word in the dragon language came out of Renekton's mouth. The talisman in his hand turned into ashes and dissipated. At the same time, an invisible wave surged towards the Joker who had already broken free from the shock effect. The Joker was frozen in place in a rushing motion.

The blue-white light in Renekton's eyes flowed, and he entered a state of rapid thinking. He raised his gun, aimed, and shot together, and the bullet was successfully injected into the Joker's right eye.

The second shot, "click~", there are no more bullets.

"Damn it!" Renekton couldn't help but swear, the imprisonment time was not enough for Renekton to reload.

Renekton decisively ended the fast thinking state, endured the pain on his body, ran to Pas's side, and picked up the cat. Pas's originally thick black hair had been burnt, and there was a burnt smell on his body.

Holding Pas, Renekton quickly came to the other side, to the alchemist who fell to the ground, and took out the healing potion given by Xia from his pocket.

The clown also broke free from the effect of the imprisonment at this time, and blood kept flowing out of his right eye, making his already hideous makeup even more terrifying. The severe pain in the right eye made the clown's expression distorted, but the other party did not make a sound, slightly raised his head, and his movements were no longer as elegant as before, and approached.

"He's coming again, keep an eye on him, meow~" Pas said anxiously.

Renekton quickly poured half of the healing potion into the cyborg lying on the ground, poured the remaining half on the burnt part of Paz's body, and drank some himself.

Renekton threw the empty potion bottle directly at the clown, who dodged it reflexively and found that it was just an ordinary glass bottle. He looked at Renekton angrily.

Then the clown's speed suddenly increased, and there was a whirring sound.

"Meow!" Paz's shock only slowed down the clown's pace, and then he recovered.     "Hurry up and stop lying down. If you don't get up and fight, we'll all be dead here." Renekton kicked the cyborg lying on the ground twice while reloading the bullets. But the other party did not respond, as if he had really fainted.

Ignoring the other party, Renekton continued to reload bullets.

  "It's coming, meow~" Paz's voice became anxious.

"Meow!" Another shock, but the effect was getting worse and worse. Paz's amber eyes were full of fatigue. When he was ready to shock again, the clown was already close.

Paz wanted to escape but suddenly slipped and fell to the ground. He almost fell at the feet of the clown. The clown reached out to grab Paz.

The ground suddenly bulged, and the clown's intuition made him retreat immediately. With the clown as the center, several vines rose from the ground, surrounded the clown in the middle, and tightly wrapped around him.

Renekton also reloaded the bullets at this time and aimed his pistol at the clown again. The clown's pupils dilated, and a light suddenly burst out in front of him, which was several times brighter than the old model of camera.

The bright light appeared too quickly, and Renekton had no time to close his eyes. His eyes were temporarily blinded by the stimulation, and tears fell from the corners of his eyes.

"Meow!" Paz screamed miserably. As a cat, the flash of light just now was particularly harmful to it at night.

Renekton could only hear the sound of the flames burning. His vision had not yet recovered. Renekton could only rely on his ability to think quickly and rely on the sound to distinguish the surrounding situation.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Three shots rang out in succession. The feedback from the sound was that only one shot hit, but there was no scream, which made Renekton guess that the opponent should have avoided the vital point. There was

a sound of wind in his ears, and Renekton's spiritual intuition began to warn. His right leg reflexively retreated a little, but the sole of his foot suddenly slipped as if he was pushed by someone. Renekton fell to the ground exactly like Paz just now.

What was even more terrible was that the pistol was also knocked out by the small stones during the process, and some small stones hit Renekton's body. Renekton felt that every small piece of gravel could leave a bruise on his body.

"The strength of this trick is unscientific!" This was the most frequent thought in Renekton's mind when he fell to the ground.

The warning of spiritual intuition stimulated Renekton's scalp to numb, as if he would be crushed to pieces in the next moment. There was a severe pain in his chest, and Renekton's quick thinking was directly interrupted. The severe pain made Renekton's brain barely judge that his left chest was pierced, and one hand reached for his heart.

But the opponent failed, because the bronze phosphorus solidified Renekton's state when he fell.

The ability to think quickly when he fell before allowed Renekton to react in the shortest time, and with the help of the action of falling to the ground, he reached his left hand into the pocket of the metal box containing the bronze phosphorus and pressed the bronze phosphorus tightly in his palm.

The next moment, Renekton's left chest was pierced, and the severe pain almost made Renekton unable to hold down the bronze phosphorus in the palm of his left hand.

  "Eh! Intentional..."

  "Bang!"

When the Joker found that he could not pull out Renekton's heart, he noticed the protection of the bronze phosphorus on him and wanted to use words to seduce Renekton to delay time. Before the Joker finished speaking, he was attacked by the strange cyborg who had recovered some of his injuries and was knocked away.

After the Joker was knocked away, the other party sprinkled a handful of seeds from the hidden pocket of his clothes, and then dozens of vines and thorns suddenly drilled out from the ground and tightly wrapped the Joker.

With a "boom", flames rose again.

"Dispel" was another word in the dragon language. This was Renekton's last dispel spell.

After using the dispel spell, Renekton lay on the ground powerlessly, not wanting to move a finger. The continuous use of quick thinking and bronze phosphorus, the superimposed side effects made Renekton feel that he had already stepped half a foot into the gate of the underworld. The rest can only be handed over to the person who is most likely the Church of Earth.

After the Joker was knocked away, Renekton knew that the Church of Earth's cyborg had recovered some of his injuries and could continue to fight. Then he released the bronze phosphorus that was tightly pressed in his left hand. The solidified state of bronze phosphorus resisted a fatal attack, which made its side effects much stronger.

Fortunately, the side effects of bronze phosphorus mainly act on the body. Renekton endured the dual pressure of body and mind, used quick thinking again, and used the dispelling spell at the critical moment. After completing all this, the superposition of several side effects made Renekton physically and mentally exhausted. He could only rely on the sense of crisis brought by the Joker to barely control himself from falling asleep.

"Ah! How is it possible!" The hoarse voice of the Joker sounded and gradually disappeared. The warning of spiritual intuition also disappeared.

"It's a pity that I didn't see how the Joker died with my own eyes." This was the only thought in Renekton's mind. After that, Renekton felt that he could fall asleep with peace of mind.

A warm air flowed over Renekton's body, like a mother's embrace, relieving Renekton's physical injuries and mental fatigue. Renekton, who was about to fall asleep, was forced to wake up.

"The Joker is dead." A steady, heavy voice sounded at the side.

A hand was placed on Renekton, and a warm feeling came. Renekton felt that the pain in his body was relieved a lot, and then this hand helped Renekton up from the ground. Chapter 24 The Great Magician's Hat

After being helped up, Renekton staggered, his steps were weak, and he staggered for several steps before he could steady himself. Only then did he have the energy to look at the Earth Church's modified person who finally solved the clown.

The other party looked to be in his thirties, with a square face, shiny and hard hair, the texture of which looked more like pine needles than hair, thick and wide eyebrows, brown eyes with a gentle feeling, some crow's feet at the corners of the eyes, a slightly collapsed nose, thick lips, and wheat-colored skin.

He was wearing a simple linen gray robe with the holy emblem of the Earth Church painted on the left chest of the robe. He was dressed like a clergyman, giving people a very gentle and heavy feeling.

"Hello, I am a harvest priest of the Earth Church. You can call me Usel. Thank you very much for your help. Otherwise, I would return to the arms of the Mother Goddess tonight." Usel bowed to Renekton and thanked him very sincerely.

"Hello, I am Renekton, the executor of the Church of Knowledge. Helping you is also helping myself. If we rely on just me and a cat, we can't escape. And Ussell, you saved my life, didn't you? But I have to trouble you to help me save my companion. It was seriously injured in the previous battle." Renekton said, and turned his eyes to the black cat Pas who was lying on the ground motionless on the other side.

"No problem." Ussell nodded. Originally, he was going to save this extraordinary cat, but seeing that Renekton's injuries were more serious, he treated Renekton first.

Renekton didn't fall down halfway with Ussell's support. When Ussell went to treat Pas, Renekton leaned on a gas street lamp on the side, recalling the details of the battle. He repeatedly thought about what problems he had in dealing with the battle.

Renekton pondered for a moment and found that he actually had a chance to kill the clown at the beginning, even though the opponent had the abilities of both the Apprentice Path Sequence 8 Master of Tricks and the Diviner Path Sequence 8 Clown.

But I have a dispelling spell that can dispel the effects of the clown's tricks, as well as a confinement spell, and Pas who has the ability to stun. With the gun and dagger on my body, I can directly output to the clown's face with continuous control the moment the clown approaches.

Even if the clown is lucky enough to survive, he will be seriously injured. With the help of bronze phosphorus, Renekton can directly fight the clown with a dagger with the assistance of Pas.

"Unfortunately, I was not calm enough at the time, and was misled by the clown. After being attacked by the clown, I found that the opponent did not have the strength of Sequence 5 at all, but was just a Sequence 8 with a powerful and somewhat outrageous ability, and there was no cooperation between Pas and me." Renekton thought of Pas's first stun, which was a blow to my teammates.

"Meow~ I'm alive again!" Pas stood up quickly under Usser's treatment.

Renekton looked in the direction of the sound. The wounds on Pas' body that were previously injured by the clown's electric shock had healed, but the hair on that part would take some time to grow back. Pas' amber eyes were also covered with a layer of dust. It seemed that the flash had caused great damage to it. It would probably take a while to recover.

"My treatment is only to temporarily bring your injuries to a safe range. You will need follow-up treatment and recuperation in the next few days." Ursell explained.

"This is already very powerful." Renekton nodded to show that he understood.

"It's okay, meow. I'll go back and ask Eliza to prepare two bottles of potion for me. Renekton, do you need it? Meow!" Pas was very optimistic at the moment, as if the clown it had always feared was dead.

Renekton shook his head at Pas's excitement and decided to hit it.

"The clown who was killed may not be the one we saw last night. This clown is just a Beyonder who stitched together the characteristics of two Sequence Eight pathways. But the one we met last night should be the one of Sequence Five, and that clown is not from the Apprentice and Diviner pathways." Renekton said his analysis.

"How is it possible? They smell exactly the same." Pas was unwilling to believe Renekton's speculation.

"You two, I may be able to answer your doubts." Ursell said at this time.

  "Why?" Pas asked directly.

"This clown was split from the Sequence Five clown you mentioned. At that time, I and other people from the church were investigating the matter of that clown. Unexpectedly, we ran into him outside the hospital. According to our previous understanding, he could not leave that hospital. I think you may know something about this, Renekton." Ursell said.

"I don't know." Renekton shook his head.

"Because this is a secret. I heard your conversation just now and thought you had already learned the relevant information, but now it is not a secret. The captain and a member of your Executor team are investigating with us." Ursell explained.

Then he continued without hiding anything: "After we encountered that clown, he used deception and traps to cause great damage. Later, when one of my companions gave the clown the final blow, the clown split into three identical clowns. Although their strengths were slightly different, and none of them was as strong as the first clown, our condition was not good at that time. In the end, the battlefield was getting farther and farther away, and we were even defeated one by one by the clown."

"Captain, are they in danger now?" Renekton asked immediately.

"I don't know either. I'm going to look for them in the direction they were before." Ursel shook his head and said.

  "I'll go too." Renekton said.

As a result, he staggered as soon as he left the lamppost he was leaning on.

"No need, you are too weak. Once a battle occurs, it will be difficult for you to protect yourself. My spirituality has not recovered yet, so I can't continue to treat you." Ursel shook his head.

"Yes, yes, you can't even stand steadily, meow~" Pas said in agreement.     "Okay, Paz and I will rest here for a while. If you need anything or have any information, you can come back here to find us." Renekton also knew that he would only cause trouble if he went there in his current physical condition, so he nodded.

"No problem." Ursel nodded, then turned and left in the direction of the hospital.

"I have to say that the recovery ability of the cultivator's path is too strong. I gave Ursel half a potion, and he was able to recover a certain amount of physical strength, injuries and spirituality in such a short time. Maybe it's because he is a cyborg." Renekton thought to himself.

"Why should we stay here? Isn't it dangerous? Maybe there will be new clowns coming!" Paz became impatient after hearing that the clown split himself into three.

"Of course it's to pick up equipment. The most important thing after the group car monster is to pick up equipment!" Renekton said to a cat earnestly, which the cat couldn't understand.

"Meow~" Paz meowed very politely. The expression on the cat's face seemed to be a silent complaint. The clown obviously didn't carry any equipment or items.

Ignoring Paz's expression of "you are teasing a cat", he supported himself on the lamp post with one hand, stood firm and slowly approached the clown's body.

After a period of delay, a little fluorescence had already emanated from the clown's body and gathered around the clown's body.

"What is this? Meow~" Paz limped closer and saw the extraordinary characteristics of the clown and asked curiously.

"The equipment we dropped from the monster may be a Sequence 8 extraordinary characteristic, or it may be a sealed item, but the latter is more likely. The extraordinary characteristics of the opponent have traces of stitching, and it is estimated that it is difficult to precipitate pure extraordinary characteristics." Renekton thought and explained.

"Extraordinary characteristics? The kind that can replace the main materials of the corresponding potion, meow?" Paz asked in shock, his amber eyes widened.

Renekton nodded and responded: "Yes, it's just that the extraordinary characteristics taken through the potion are re-extracted, which is different from eating people directly."

"But I'm a cat!" Paz said.

"Then why are you so shocked?" Renekton was speechless.

"Isn't this a very shocking thing for cats, meow?" Paz said as a matter of course.

During the time that Renekton and Paz were talking, the extraordinary characteristics of the clown's body had been completely precipitated. These characteristics slowly flowed and aggregated, and then, as if attracted, they all merged into the tall red hat on the clown's head.

The original red hat began to twist and deform, and finally these characteristics formed a seal as Renekton guessed, a tall black hat with a red scarf wrapped around it, and the front and back sides of the brim were slightly curled.

Renekton picked up the black hat from the ground and used divination to know the general effect of this seal:

as long as this hat is worn on the head, it will have super body coordination and balance ability, precise body control ability, and at the same time, one's lies will be easier to believe.

It can also actively use several simple tricks, including fog, flash, burning, freezing and wind, but each trick can only be used three times a day, and the intensity is not high, not as outrageous as the clown used before, and it does not have much practical significance.

At the same time, this hat itself can also be used as a magic prop and weapon. The moment the hat is thrown out, it will stab the enemy like a flying knife, and you can also take out the props prepared in advance from the hat.

However, the side effects of this hat are equally serious. The hat itself has a strong desire to perform. As long as the user uses this hat, he will be unable to stop performing magic in the process. Even in normal times, he needs to perform magic and tricks with the hat every day, and there must be an audience.

This hat also has certain living characteristics. It will constantly confuse the user and amplify the various desires and emotions in the user's heart. This seems to be the source of the ability to convince people of their lies after wearing the hat. The effect of confuse varies from person to person. Renekton feels that he can't use it for more than a minute.

"The effect is very strong. It has some of the abilities of the master of tricks and the clown, and it can also be used as a weapon. However, this negative effect is a bit too troublesome and weird." Renekton sighed at the effect of this seal.

Then he thought about how to use this seal: "It's hard to guard against the negative effects of bewitching the user. When it comes to fighting, it's hard to control the time accurately, and it will also be unstoppable to perform magic. This is particularly unfriendly to Beyonders other than the Gou San family, almost like sending people to die."

Then he told Paz about the effect of this hat again. After listening to Renekton's narration, Paz retreated repeatedly.

"Stay away from me, stay away meow~! It's too dangerous meow!" Paz directly pulled two or three meters away from Renekton.

Renekton's mouth twitched slightly. This cat's clown sequelae was a bit serious.

He took the hat and turned it around in his hand and said, "In that case, I will convert your share into equivalent high-quality cat food or special dried fish. I will prepare it and give it to you in a few days. I will accept this hat. Well... I have to give it a name, so let's call it the Great Magician's Hat!"

"High-quality cat food! Special dried fish! Meow~ Great!" Paz was also very satisfied with the high-quality cat food and special dried fish that Renekton converted for it.  Chapter 25 New Blood Clan

After getting the seal formed by the clown's characteristics, Renekton took Paz away and went to the Crimson Senior Hospital where Paz's master Elisa was.

"Aren't we supposed to wait for that person here?" Paz asked curiously.

"That was just an excuse for me to stay and pick up the seal formed by the clown's characteristics." Renekton waved the coat rolled up in his hand.

This coat was used as a package to store the great magician's hat. Due to the special nature of the hat that can be used as a weapon, even if it is not worn on the head, it is considered to be used just by holding it in the hand. As the time holding the hat gets longer, Renekton obviously feels that his temper is getting worse, so he has to think of a way to isolate himself from the direct contact between the great magician's hat.

"But what if we meet other clowns?" Paz asked worriedly.

"Ussel is walking in front of us, and even if we meet him, it should be a clown with low health. Those law enforcers and the people of the Church of the Earth are at least at the same level as Ussel or even stronger." Renekton explained.

"Meow! You are so cunning! Eliza is right, humans are indeed cunning and scary creatures." Paz stared at Renekton vigilantly.

"What does Eliza teach you all day long? It's a pity that a good cat has a mouth." Renekton complained speechlessly.

"Meow~ Don't say bad things about Eliza! Don't say bad things about me!" Paz retorted loudly.

"Okay! You don't say bad things about me either!" Renekton said.

"I didn't say bad things about you, meow, that's a problem"

"Huh?" Renekton interrupted Paz's words with a threatening tone.

"Meow~" The cat was scared quickly.

After a while of silence, Renekton and Paz walked forward in silence. The crimson moon brought a different atmosphere to the quiet street, as if something was brewing in the dark.

"Why do I always feel uneasy? But does my spiritual consciousness have a warning premonition?" Renekton always felt uneasy walking on the road, but he didn't know the reason for a while.

"Meow~ Me too, Paz is panicking, as if something bad is happening, should we go back meow?" Paz said that he also felt panicky, and very cowardly suggested to go back the same way.

"Don't you think it's too late for us to go back now?" Renekton stopped, holding the loaded gun tightly in his hand, looking forward.

In front of him was a group of bats fluttering and flying, and then gathered together in a place where the gas street lamp could not reach, and turned into a person wearing a black long windbreaker, a red vest, a relatively slim dark red trousers and black boots. The appearance was not clear, but it could be seen that the other party was tall and thin, very upright, with lighter hair color, close to silver, and bright red eyes, as if hiding blood.

The other party also noticed Renekton and Paz standing here. The other party's eyes were stunned for a moment, and then looked at Renekton vigilantly, as if Renekton would take action immediately if he made any unusual movements.

"It's Yas, meow!" Paz said excitedly.

"Yas meow? What kind of cat? Can it turn into a human?" Renekton joked with Paz to ease his tension.

Judging from Paz's reaction, the other party should not be an enemy, and the eyes and clothes look like a vampire. Renekton thought of Eliza's brother, the vampire whose collection was stolen by the clown.

"Obviously, I'm not a cat, but a vampire. Why is Paz by your side? Did you steal it? What's your relationship with that clown?" Yas obviously heard the exchange between Renekton and Paz, and put away some of his hostility and walked over, but he was still very wary when looking at Renekton.

When the other party came closer, Renekton finally saw his appearance. His skin was very white, the kind of white that had not seen the sun for a long time, his eyes were bright red, as if he had hidden blood, his nose was straight, his lips were as red as blood, and his face was clearly defined. He looked to be in his twenties, but his actual age was unknown. Anyone who saw his face would think that he was a young gentleman with a very outstanding appearance.

"Pas? It just stayed by my side. As for my relationship with the clown, it's because I just had a fight and killed a clown." Renekton tilted his head in response to the other's gaze.

"Killed a clown? You?" Yas didn't quite believe Renekton's words. He was originally a vampire in the Crimson Senior Hospital. He believed that he knew more about the clown than these outsiders, so he knew the horror of the clown. If there were no important things in the hospital, he would have left the city with his sister long ago.     "And me, and me, meow!" Paz said excitedly, raising his paw.

Yas couldn't help but frown. Although he didn't believe Renekton, he still believed in his sister's pet cat. Although this cat was a little playful, it wouldn't lie about such things.

"It's okay if you don't want to believe it, but that clown forcibly split himself into three and is fighting with the people of the Church of Knowledge and the Church of the Earth. We only killed one of them, and even the weakest one. He is only Sequence Eight, but he has the characteristics of more than one path. The strength that can be exerted when two are added together must exceed this level. I think the other two clones are similar. You were so embarrassed just now. Did you meet one of them?" Renekton quietly started to think quickly, trying to observe some different reactions from the other party.

Yas was silent for a long time before speaking again: "I do know this, but I didn't meet the clown. I was fighting with the people of the church."

  "Why? Meow~" Paz asked hurriedly.

"For a secret!" Renekton answered for Yas.

Yas's eyes turned cold again when he looked at Renekton, as if he was considering whether to deal with him right now.

"Don't look at me like that. I guessed that you guys were too obvious. You didn't even pretend. It's not me. Basically, the Church of Knowledge and the Church of Earth should know some information, but both sides have their own plans, so the three of you seem to have reached a certain balance, but with the appearance of the clown, this balance is about to be broken." With the help of quick thinking, Renekton kept thinking back to what he had experienced in the past few days and the information he knew, and made a bold guess, and Yas just happened to allow him to verify this guess.

"Meow~" Pas stared at the two people in confrontation with big cat eyes. Obviously, he knew both of them and understood them, but now they both looked so strange.

Sighing, Yas retracted his aura and said helplessly: "The balance has been broken. The problem now is that things are beyond their control. I don't know if they can clean up this mess in the end."

At the end, he added: "But no matter what, Eliza and I can no longer stay in Feynaport. I plan to take Eliza away from here tomorrow. Pas, do you want to stay or follow us? If you follow us, you will never have the same life as before."

"Leave here meow~" Pas looked at Renekton with a look of reluctance in his eyes.

"If you don't want to leave, it's okay. They won't make things difficult for you, a cat, and there is also the person from the Church of Knowledge next to you to guarantee you." Yas stopped talking before he finished.

"Can you keep my high-quality cat food and special dried fish meow! If not, just leave the special dried fish. I will ask Eliza to write a letter and you can send it to me later." Pas' reluctance was reserved for the special dried fish and high-quality cat food that Renekton had promised before.

Renekton's mouth twitched. He shouldn't have expected anything from this cat. It only had its dried fish and the Cat Agents in its eyes.

"Okay, if you go to Loon or the sea later, I'll deliver it to you personally." Renekton said speechlessly.

"Okay, meow!" Paz's sadness and reluctance were instantly cleared, and he turned around and ran to Yas.

Yas looked at Paz who ran happily to his side, nodded with satisfaction, and then looked at Renekton and said, "Don't you plan to stay in the Church of Knowledge forever?"

"Staying in the Church of Knowledge does not mean staying here. When you come to this world, you have to take a good look at this world, right? Only by walking and seeing can you feel the heaviness of knowledge." Renekton, who wanted to make up a reason to fool around, spoke out his true thoughts after he opened his mouth.

"Your ideas are really special, different from the people in the Church of Knowledge I have met. To be precise, you are different from most of the people I have met. I look forward to the day when we meet again." Yas always showed his kind smile.

"You are also different from most of the vampires I know. I hope you have a safe trip." Renekton nodded.

"Why? Do you know vampires well?" Yas asked with a puzzled look on his face.

"I know them well. From what I know, some vampires seem to have a hobby of collecting various dolls." Looking at the serious look of the vampire, Renekton suddenly had an idea to tease him.

Yas's face on the opposite side suddenly darkened, and he quickly disappeared into the night carrying Pas.
