A woman in an apron came up to him. She was the mother of the boy, Blanche, who was infected with the Disease Z.
"Doctor Ye, you're finally here," she said.
"Madam, sorry to have troubled you," Jacob said with a smile.
"No, not at all. Doctor Ye, it's all thanks to you. Otherwise, I really don't know if I can see Bobby again." Blanche's eyes turned red as she spoke.
"Madam, you don't have to worry. Bobby's situation is getting better day by day. I promise you that you'll be able to see him soon," he comforted her.
"Yes, yes. Doctor Ye, please come in. Dinner will be ready in a minute. Please wait a moment," she said as she welcomed Jacob and Molly in. She immediately turned and said, "Vera, please go clean up the guest room and prepare new blankets."
With her voice, a little girl of 12 or 13 years old ran out of the hall. She responded and then shyly ran to the guest room on the west side to clean up the room for Jacob and Molly.
