"Both of them, I guess. Everybody is vulnerable at times, and I'm no exception," Jacob said faintly.
"That's not like you. The man I have my eyes on is never like that." Yumi giggled. Despite saying so, she finally realized that a fearless man like Jacob could also get upset and be in need of someone to talk to as well. Yumi was glad that he thought of her.
At least, it proved that she had a place in his heart.
"I'm a human being, not a god," Jacob paused and continued, "I miss you."
"That's the third time you've said that. If you were by my side, I wouldn't hesitate to rip your heart out to see if it was real."
"Of course it's real. If you don't believe me, just come over and see for yourself." Jacob chuckled.
"Are you trying to trick me to go back? Dream on!" Yumi harrumphed in disdain.
"I wish you could come back. I miss you as well. If it weren't because I can't leave Capital City, I'd love to be over there with you right now," Jacob said.
