He did have a hunch that perhaps Elnour and Susan were related before. Both of them were just too similar in terms of appearances. On top of that, Elnour did have many of Susan's features, but there was just no way to verify it.

Rosalie used the Elite Task Force's manpower to get to the bottom of Elnour's background so that his suspicion could be confirmed. Their archives also had records of the Calter family wiping and then planting false memories in people's heads.  

Jacob had always held onto that hope and his suspicion was finally confirmed.

He was in a stupor for quite a while. He only snapped out of it when Susan began to writhe with every strength she had.

"Susan..." He pulled her into his embrace. He hugged her tightly and swore that he would not let her leave again.

Her icy stare was on him as she kept quiet. Heb then realized that he had restricted her acupoints just now, so he released her almost immediately.
