"Sure, a civilized person like you can beat a person up so badly." Yesenia snorted sarcastically, taking a look at Zaman's ID card.
"Are you all right? Do you need an ambulance?" Yesenia then walked over to the middle-aged man and asked him.
"Yes, I'm all right. We were just fooling around, Officer. It's nothing. I'm fine." The middle-aged man sat up in a hurry, not even daring to look at Zaman.
"If you feel threatened, you can tell us. We can help you," Yesenia said.
The man shook his head quickly. "No, we were just fooling around."
"Do you hear that, Officer? We were just fooling around. If there's nothing else, I'm leaving," Zaman drawled.
Yesenia didn't say anything. She knew that the middle-aged man was acting like this because he was afraid that these gangsters would seek revenge if he snitched on them. However, since the person involved said that he was fine, she couldn't forcefully retain the gangsters.
