"Am...Am I safe now?" Gildo asked with uncertainty as he looked at the disappearing talisman on his chest.
"Yes. You're back to being an ordinary man now," Jacob said nonchalantly.
"Thank you... Thank you so much. I'm yours to command from now on. I'll do whatever you want me to do." Gildo dropped to his knees before Jacob.
Hadrian and his men were completely gobsmacked. They had been watching from the side the whole time Jacob fought with the mysterious fellow. They had never witnessed something like this and they didn't come back to their senses for a moment.
It was especially the skull that was mocking Jacob which really shocked them into a stupor. They never thought a skull would just suddenly appear mid-air like that.
It was during this moment when Hadrian finally realized that Jacob was the genuine master. He was glad that he did not have ill intentions towards Jacob. He was also grateful that Jacob could cure his daughter's illness.
