"Are you looking down on me?" Irene was displeased.
"No, it's definitely not what I meant." Jacob quickly changed his words and said with a smile, "It's my greatest honour to be able to eat what you cook."
"That's more like it," Irene said proudly. She turned around, rolled up her sleeves, and walked into the kitchen.
Two hours later, Jacob, who was hungry, finally ate the food Irene made for the first time.
On the table were two charred dishes. It was hard to tell what kind of ingredients that was used to cook. There was also a big dish of tomato and egg soup with a lot of soy sauce. There were also two bowls of rice which were still edible. That was their lunch that day.
"What's this?" Jacob picked up an ingredient that could not be identified.
