"What's wrong with you?" Noticing the cold sweat on Jacob's forehead, Jurnee was slightly surprised. She could sense the fear in his heart.
She clearly knew what kind of person he was. He, who had the physique of a phoenix's soul, was an existence everyone in the world would look up to. However, he was obviously afraid of the solitary mountain, so Jurnee was bewildered by that.
Even if they were in another world, with his abilities, Jacob shouldn't be so afraid, although they had yet to figure out what was on the top of the mountain.
"Nothing." Jacob forced a smile, but his expression turned more and more solemn.
"Let's take a rest here. This mountain seems close to us, but it's quite a distance away on foot." Jurnee stopped.
Jacob didn't refute. He nodded before leaning against a weathered stone, sat cross-legged, and cast a strange incantation with both hands. After a moment, he calmed down.
Seeing him opening his eyes slowly, Jurnee asked with concern, "How do you feel?"
