"The strife has always been there. Have you heard of the saying where there are people, there is politics? Even our ancient tribe is no exception." The Great Priest shook his head and said, "Now my biggest obstacle is the chief. He wants his son to inherit the position of Great Priest."
"Isn't the position of Great Priest appointed based on who inherited the former priest's wisdom?" Jacob asked in surprise.
"It can still be stripped." The Great Priest said, "If I do anything against the rules of the clan, the chief has the right to strip me of my wisdom. They will tie me to the altar and burn me to death. Then, they will hand over the wisdom to someone else."
"I see. This is a struggle." Jacob smiled slightly and said, "It seems like your chief is not a good person. He just cares about his own interests. He has never cared about the lives of his people."
