"Thank you for the praise, Dragon King. My ability is actually ordinary," Jacob nodded.
"I want to rely on you. If you can pledge loyalty to me, I guarantee you can soar to the heavens," Dragon King said carelessly.
Jacob was surprised. Was this guy trying to get him to work for him? Such a condescending attitude, was he out of his mind?
What did he take Jacob for? Did he think a few words could agitate Jacob and he would run over to him, all grateful and tearful?
"Pledge loyalty?" Jacob shook his head. "I am a wanderer. I am used to roaming outside. I might not be able to stay in the Dragon King Mansion for too long."
The Dragon King turned around, stared at Jacob, and suddenly, he laughed. "You know what? I'm not the type of person who accepts rejections."
"Heh, it's a pity, I don't accept being forced by others. No one can force me to do things that I do not like," Jacob replied with a smile.
