Luckily, Jacob was no ordinary man, his mental power was significantly stronger than the average person's. Therefore, the Dragon King’s tricks had little effect on him. However, Jacob had to act as if he were affected, otherwise, the Dragon Queen would grow suspicious.
"Is what you're saying true?" The sapphire blue hue in Dragon Queen's eyes intensified.
"Your Highness, everything I've said is true." Jacob used the same phrase.
Dragon Queen gazed at Jacob with a hint of doubt in her eyes. She was not sure whether his words were true or false. Her gaze, carrying a faint blueness, probed his consciousness to check if he was lying.
To her disappointment, no matter how she scrutinized him, his consciousness remained unswayed... he was not lying.
The Dragon Queen was, however, a person of extreme suspicion. She observed Jacob for quite a while before slowly saying, "Jacob, even if nothing happened between you two, you should know the rules of the Dragon Hall.”
