Chapter 50 CHAPTER 50: A FRIEND

ANDREA’S POV

I blinked at the woman in front of me, feeling my defenses lower.

Her hand was stretched out to me, and she had a friendly smile on her face. “I'm Nora. It's lovely to meet you.”

Nora—the woman who'd helped the twins in the park the other day. The one who smelled like Kade.

I could smell it, too. But it wasn't the scent I imagined—not like the one I carried around after…you know.

The woman—Nora, smiled wider. “Aren't you going to shake my hand?”

I blinked. “Right.” I laughed awkwardly, reaching out to shake her hand. “Um, I'm Andrea. Sorry for the earlier hostility.”

She shrugged, squeezing my hand lightly as she smiled. “That's okay. I admire a Mama Bear.”

Luca and Matteo, sensing that I was no longer antagonistic towards Nora, moved from behind me and went to her.
