ANDREA’S POV
A wave of relief threatened to knock me off my feet. “What did you just say, Zayne?” I asked, terrified at the possibility that I might have misheard him.
“I got the antidote, Andrea,” Zayne repeated. “I can cure Kade now.”
I cast a disdainful side-long glance at Kade. “Oh, he’s fine now. You don’t have to worry about him.”
“Huh? How?”
“I don’t know, and I honestly don’t give a fuck. When can I see you?” I asked, desperate to change the topic from Kade.
“I’m on my way to your house.” I nodded. “Okay, I’m…” I glanced at Kade and Nora. “…out. I’ll be home soon.”
When I hung up, Kade sneered. “Boy toy back from his trip?”
I ignored Kade and turned to Nora, stretching my hand out. “Let’s go.”
She reached out to me, but in a flash, Kade moved from his position behind his desk and walked towards us. He shoved Nora behind him before she could take my hand.
