Ch.66 : Unbeaten

The game had begun.

Nic took the hyper carry role, and Team Immortal immediately raised eyebrows when they saw the draft.

"Four supports?!" someone gasped.

"Is this some kind of new meta or... do they not know how to play?" a spectator whispered.

Ethan chuckled. "This'll be easy. They just threw their draft away."

But Talia looked deep in thought. "No way Nic would play without a plan... What's the strategy here?"

---

Early Game

Team Immortal dominated the early game. Nic was nowhere to be seen on the map. Even when clashes broke out, his four supports only stayed back, defending the towers and retreating when necessary.

Talia narrowed her eyes. "He's never shown up… Is he just farming?"

Rika nodded. "Then we hunt him down. Hyper carries are always loaded with gold."

When Nic finally appeared on the map, Talia didn't waste time.

"Teleport to him! All in!"

All five members of Team Immortal rushed toward Nic's position. Ethan led the charge fearlessly, even though Nic was under his tower.

But—

"Huh?! I—I can't get out?!" Ethan shouted in shock.

Eliz had blocked his escape with a skill. Nic and the tower slammed Ethan mercilessly.

"That damage is insane!" Ethan panicked.

"Hold on! I'm coming!" Rika tried to help, but it was too late. Ethan was taken down—SHUTDOWN! A huge chunk of gold went straight to Nic.

Talia bit her lip. "Damn! I thought those supports were just defending lanes, but they all grouped up to protect Nic!"

---

Mid Game

Nic now had way more gold than Rika. He was higher level too. It was time to move.

"Forget the lanes. Stick with me," Nic ordered. "They don't have pushers. Let's take the fight to them."

Talia stayed calm. "Kai, split-push one lane. Force them to scatter."

But Nic anticipated that. "Let him go. The towers have shields when low."

He continued marching with his support squad. Even Rika, who tried hiding behind her tower, wasn't safe.

"Attack!" Nic commanded.

Rion tried to finish Nic off when his health dropped.

"Why is his HP full again?!" he yelled.

Julia had cast a clutch heal.

"Then take down the supports!" Rika yelled.

But the supports were fully built in defense.

"They're too tanky!" Rika growled.

"We're behind on levels too!" Talia started to panic.

One by one, Team Immortal's towers were crushed.

"Start diving," Nic instructed.

Bella led the charge, tanking the tower shots. Then the rest followed, rotating cleanly.

In no time, Team Immortal's base was destroyed.

1-0 for Team Unity!

After the Match

The audience erupted.

"That's the craziest hyper carry strat I've ever seen!"

Leona's father, watching the livestream, leaned in with interest.

"Brilliant strategy… But high risk. If the opponents had a proper pusher, they'd have been torn apart. Still… that boy... maybe I should recruit him."

Meanwhile, downstairs, Nic's girlfriends were cheering like crazy.

"Nic's amazing!" Vivi squealed.

Ethan clenched his fist. "So this is your best strategy? Don't get cocky. We won't let you pull that off again."

Kai added, "It's BO3. We know your game now."

Nic just smiled calmly. "Good job, everyone. Let's head down. I'm thirsty."

Annoyed, Kai grabbed Nic by the collar. "Don't act so smug, jerk!"

Eliz was ready to attack, but Nic raised a hand to stop her.

He glared at Kai and activated God of Intimidation.

In an instant, Kai froze.

Nic's gaze was like a predator staring down prey.

Kai instinctively backed off. "W-What… what was that…?"

Ethan and Rion looked at him, shocked. "Kai? What's wrong?"

Nic stayed composed. "Let's go."

They all headed downstairs to rest.

Vivi rushed up to him. "You were amazing!"

Leona, still focused on strategy, sighed. "But you can't use that same strat in the second match."

Nic casually patted her head. "You think that was my strongest card? Don't worry. I'll crush anyone who disrespects us."

His eyes turned cold, sharp.

For some of his girlfriends, it was the first time seeing this side of Nic. It made them realize—when he got serious, he was downright terrifying.

They grabbed drinks from the fridge, waiting for Team Immortal to be ready for the next match.

Inside the café, Nic was sipping his drink when Talia suddenly called out to him.

He excused himself and followed her outside to the back for a private talk.

As he left, Mika grinned. "Wanna bet how this ends?"

Yui chuckled. "Let me guess—another girl joins the club?"

Olivia slapped Yui's shoulder, laughing. "Totally obvious!"

Behind the Café

Talia fidgeted nervously, playing with her fingers. But before she could speak, Nic looked up at the sky and broke the silence.

"I'll throw the next match."

Talia's eyes widened. "Huh?! How did you know that's what I wanted to ask?"

Nic smirked. "Just a feeling."

Talia sighed in relief. "Rika really wants to beat you… I don't know why she's taking it so personally, but she can't let go of losing to you."

Nic turned his gaze to her. "What about you? Can you accept losing?"

Talia looked down, took a deep breath. "I've accepted it… like I said, there's always a sky above the sky."

Suddenly, Nic's expression hardened.

"Actually… I changed my mind. I'm not throwing."

Talia blinked in confusion. "Why not? You could win the third game instead."

Nic's voice turned serious. "I'm not letting anyone mock my girlfriends. I could take revenge later, sure, but this is about their pride. I'll win—and I won't lose a single game."

Talia bit her lip. "So… you already have girlfriends, huh? Which one's yours?"

Nic paused, then casually replied, "Everyone who played with me, except Bella. The girls downstairs too."

Talia's eyes went wide. "P-Polygamy?! And they're all okay with that?!"

Nic looked her dead in the eye. "Did you see anyone jealous or fighting each other?"

Talia went quiet, replaying the scene in her head. All she saw was joy—girls laughing, joking, cheering together. No jealousy at all.

She covered her mouth with her fan. "I… I don't get how you even manage all of them."

Nic gave a small smile. "Don't worry about it. You should focus on your own strategy."

---

Game Two Begins

Team Immortal was ready, and so was Unity.

Talia noticed Rika stayed silent, while Ethan kept boasting. "This time I'll carry us to victory!"

During the draft phase, Immortal banned every support hero, trying to block Nic's previous strategy. But once again, Nic flipped expectations.

He switched roles from carry to tank. This time, Julia was the main damage dealer.

Talia quickly gave orders. "Go full aggression! Let's pressure them from the start!"

And it worked. From the beginning, Team Immortal tore through towers one by one. Only their base tower remained.

The livestream chat blew up:

"Crush 'em! We want game 3!"

"No way Unity survives this. They're doomed!"

Talia frowned. "Is Nic… throwing this game? Didn't he say he wouldn't lose?"

Suddenly, a boss monster spawned and marched toward their base.

"Take it down fast!" Nic shouted. "Don't let it reach the base!"

Rika fired back. "Attack! Don't let them kill the Monster!"

Nic smirked. "Now, Lily!"

Lily blinked forward, unleashing a deadly combo. But Immortal used their immunity spells to break free. Lily got taken down.

Rion laughed. "What a waste! Only four left! Let's go!"

Talia yelled, "Wait! Don't rush—!"

Too late. Nic blinked behind them and dove into their formation. With no spells left to escape, Team Immortal was caught in his stun.

Julia and the rest followed up with their combo—team wipe.

Only Talia survived, but she couldn't stop the final push.

"It's over…" she muttered, watching the towers fall.

And just like that, the base exploded.

Team Unity wins 2-0!

The livestream chat exploded:

"WHAT!?"

"No way… they lost without a single win?!"

"Who the heck is that guy?! GG!"

Rika hung her head, muttering, "Sorry… sorry… sorry…"

Talia held her hand tightly. "It's okay, Rika… I'm here."

Downstairs, Nic's girls cheered wildly and ran upstairs to celebrate.

Nic, now the first person to beat Team Immortal in a clean sweep, took a relaxed breath.

Then he approached the devastated team and asked Rika, "So, what now?"

Rika looked up with teary eyes, then suddenly grabbed his wrist and pulled him down to her private room.

Ethan tried to follow but was stopped by Talia.

"Let them be," she whispered.

---

Inside the Room

Nic frowned. "What is it this time?"

Rika turned around, eyes watery. She suddenly collapsed onto the couch, sobbing like a child.

Nic stared. "Huh?! Why are you crying?!"

Through her sniffles, she sobbed, "I lost… I actually lost… I can't accept this! What do I do now?! This is all because of you!"

Nic scratched his head, totally lost.

"This girl… what's even going on in her head…?"
