"Darkness Prison!" the man roared.
The black smoke surrounding them surged and condensed, becoming tangible, encasing Adonis and Elora inside a translucent obsidian cube. The walls of the cube pulsed with malevolent energy, growing slowly, almost casually, smaller.
"This is…!" Elora gasped, panic rising in her chest. "An advanced spell of the dark element! That liquid… it really gave him the undead element and the dark element both!"
Adonis summoned his golden sword and struck the inner wall, but the cage only trembled faintly, absorbing the impact like a bottomless pit.
the man's voice echoed from beyond the prison.
"Ha ha ha! The undead element may be weak in close combat, but now that I wield the dark element, not even a brat like you can scratch my 'Darkness Prison!' This is the end!" His laughter grew distant. "Since you'll die anyway, remember the name of your executioner—Rabisu!"
And with that, he vanished.
The cube continued to shrink, inch by inch, a slow but unstoppable pressure of death.
"If this keeps up, we'll be crushed!" Elora shouted, firing lightning bolts in desperation, only to see them absorbed into the black walls without a trace.
Adonis, calm but grim, stared at the altar through the fading visibility. The red hue on the altar… it was the same color as the star. The source. The connection.
"Elora," Adonis said, "the altar… it's connected to the red star. It's the center of Rabisu's entire setup. If we destroy it—maybe we can end this."
"But how?! We can't even escape this cursed prison!" Elora said, her voice trembling for the first time.
Adonis clenched his fists, then sighed. "…Cast support magic on me. Every buff you know."
"Huh?! W-What are you planning?" Elora blinked, confused.
"Trust me. Just do it," Adonis said as he sat down cross-legged, his face composed, eyes closed.
Reluctantly, Elora extended both hands and began chanting a flurry of support spells—enhancing strength, speed, clarity, and mana flow.
And then…
The six golden swords around Adonis appeared.
But this time, they didn't orbit him—they rose, slowly forming a ring above his head, spinning. As they rotated, their movement became faster… and faster… and faster, golden light blooming between them like threads of divine energy.
The golden Sword Qi filling the cage became overwhelming, humming like a chorus from heaven.
Adonis opened his eyes.
They were no longer human.
They were pure gold—gleaming, radiant, divine.
Above him, the swords now formed something entirely new—they fused, spiraling inward, until there was only—
A Single, Massive Sword.
So vast, it seemed unreal. The blade pulsed with golden light, like a heavenly relic born from the will of the cosmos itself.
Then came the swing.
One. Simple. Swing.
BOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The Sword Qi exploded outward like a volcano erupting in pure light. The Darkness Prison shattered, the altar disintegrated, the barrier collapsed, and the entire mansion was obliterated, vaporized from the world as though it never existed.
Like a god had descended and swept away corruption in one divine strike.
———
"Adonis… we're out…" Elora whispered, trembling.
Her mouth was still open in disbelief. She stood surrounded by scorched earth and golden particles, the red star above now faint and flickering.
But her awe turned to horror when she turned to Adonis.
His mask was gone.
His face was pale.
Blood streamed from his eyes, nose, and lips.
"…Adonis…?" she whispered.
He wobbled—then collapsed forward, unconscious.
"Adonis!!" Elora screamed, rushing to catch him before he hit the ground. She held him tightly, her voice breaking. "Hang in there… don't you dare die on me…"
The golden sword above them faded into light.
And for the first time in 50 years—
The red star vanished from the sky.
