The appearance of the Lava Dragon so overwhelming that it sent chills down everyone's spine.
Its mere presence was so intense and despairing that Tyrant, Ai, and Alex fell to their knees, shivering in despair.
Mia, Adonis, Wrath, and Gluttony barely managed to remain standing, their legs trembling under the suffocating weight of the creature's bloodlust. They couldn't move—frozen by pure fear.
The elven siblings had already fainted, collapsing unconscious under the unbearable pressure.
"W-What do we do? This… this wasn't part of the plan…" Wrath stammered, eyes wide in horror.
"No choice. We use the teleportation scroll—now!" Gluttony answered, voice trembling as he retrieved a glowing scroll from his bracelet.
A surge of blue light enveloped them, and in an instant—both disappeared.
"Its must be space magic scroll" Adonis thought,
But with two gone
The Lava Dragon's blazing gaze now turned toward the remaining group.
Adonis, drenched in cold sweat, stared into the glowing, infernal eyes of the monster. Even if he used everything—his strongest sword technique, even at the cost of his life—he knew it wouldn't even leave a scratch on this beast.
"I… I can't even summon swords… under this pressure…" he thought. His breath grew ragged.
Then—Cough!
Mia, and the rest of the group, coughed up blood, collapsing to the ground, barely conscious, their eyes struggling to stay open.
The Lava Dragon roared again. It looked down upon them like bugs—insignificant insects.
Its jaw opened wide as fire began gathering in its mouth, burning brighter and hotter than anything Adonis had ever seen.
It was preparing to erase them.
Adonis clenched his teeth, still trying to move…But the pressure was too great. His body wouldn't respond.
"Is this… really the end?" he thought, his vision beginning to blur.
.....
With that, finally Adonis also coughed up blood before passing out.
All the group now lay on the ground, as the Lava Dragon finished gathering its flames. With a thunderous roar, it unleashed its breath attack. The entire second floor trembled, and the blast of flames turned the surroundings into ashes—the intensity so extreme that even the rocks melted in magma.
The dragon let out satisfied roar, thought it had finally rid itself of the annoying bugs.
But then—
A golden glow appeared within the flames.
Turning its gaze back, the dragon saw the same humans still lying on the ground… yet something had changed.
One figure, glowing in radiant golden light, lay on the ground unconscious
Meanwhile, Tyrant, Ai, Alex, and Mia slowly opened their eyes, finally able to breathe as the crushing pressure eased.
However, despair returned immediately—the Lava Dragon began gathering flames again, preparing to strike once more.
They tensed, fear rising again.
The fiery breath shot toward them once more—
All closed their eyes,
But before the flames could even reach them,
A giant golden slash suddenly appeared,
cutting the fire attack in half.
Their eyes snapped toward the figure who had suddenly risen.Adonis.
But this was not the same Adonis.
His body glowed with divine golden light.
His eyes shone cold and emotionless,
his aura emanating a presence that was overwhelmingly indifferent—
Like a god looking down upon mortals, humans look at ants,
like existence itself overlooking the creation.
"What is this?" Ai exclaimed in shock.
"Elemental possession…" Tyrant's voice was heavy.
everyone look at him for explanation.
"What's that?" Even Mia didn't know.
"It only happens to special element users," Tyrant explained grimly.
"When they're pushed to the brink of death.
As you all know special elements are born from emotions and will…
But sometimes, the emotion becomes so overwhelming, that the element itself takes over, it mostly happen in near death situations.
In this state, they can use the true, full potential of their element.
But—if it lasts longer than ten seconds, the user will die."
Mia's eyes widened.
"Then that means—"
"That's right." Tyrant clenched his fists.
"It's already been thirty seconds…
Adonis… will more or less die after this."
Silence fell among them.
Not just fear—but helplessness.
That Adonis had to sacrifice himself to save them.
And none of them could do anything to stop it.
