Chapter 41 – The Wish That Changed Everything

The battlefield had gone silent.

Not the silence of peace—but the kind that comes after something world-altering. No... multiverse-altering.

Bodies lay broken, smoke drifted into the heavens, and shimmering particles of fading mana rained gently from the canopy of the Tree above me. I stood alone in its colossal shadow—bloody, battered, victorious.

There were no cheers. No applause. Just the thrum of the Tree's ancient heartbeat, pulsing through the air like a living drum.

I was the last one standing.

Not because I was the strongest.

But because I refused to fall.

And now, I was standing at the roots of what many called the omnipotent Tree of All-Wishes. Its silver-barked trunk stretched beyond the clouds, its golden leaves humming with life older than time itself. The entire Four Quadrants had led to this moment. Every death, every betrayal, every trial—this was what it was all for.

A single wish.

My breath came out shaky. My muscles trembled from exhaustion, and somewhere beneath my pride, the 16-year-old in me was screaming at the enormity of what I was about to do.

I stepped forward and placed a hand on the trunk.

The world stood still.

"I wish..." My voice wavered for a heartbeat, but then steadied. "I wish to have the power to create anything — whether tangible or not."

The Tree reacted instantly.

A deep pulse rolled through the ground like thunder. Light surged from its bark and wrapped around my entire being. Not light that blinded—but one that felt like fire and snow, infinity and silence, flooding my soul and carving something new into it. Not just power... but responsibility. Understanding.

Knowledge whispered through me in fragments—half-real, half-instinctive.

Then came a soft pop in the air. The scent of lavender.

And from that light, she emerged—Lunaria Vel Syntra.

The violet-eyed girl who had appeared in the sky all those weeks ago. Her academy uniform shimmered with tiny galaxies, her hair cascading like a nebula made solid. She smiled, sharp and curious, but this time… there was a rare sincerity behind it.

"So," she said, circling me, "that's the wish you chose."

I nodded. "Yes."

"Hmph. Unexpected." She folded her arms. "Most ask for wealth, or immortality, or to revive someone they lost. But you—" she tilted her head— "you ask for power with no form. Potential. Creation."

"I want to control my fate," I said. "Not just survive this multiverse, but shape it. No one from Earth ever got that chance."

At that, her eyes glittered with approval.

"Very well then," she said. "Wish granted."

I barely had time to blink before a pressure surged outward from the Tree—an invisible wave of mana erupting like a supernova. It raced across the sky, the ground, the realms beyond.

Then the sky above Earth changed.

Far away, on the distant blue planet where I was born, strange auroras bloomed. Clouds of rainbow-tinted mana thickened in the atmosphere. Magic — for the first time in history — had returned to Earth.

Lunaria turned her gaze skyward.

"The Earth has been saturated with mana now — the residual energy used to fulfill your wish," she explained. "In a few days, your planet will begin its migration."

I frowned. "Migration?"

She smiled cryptically. "It will leave its solar system. The Tree has deemed it worthy of preservation. Soon, Earth will fly beyond the stars, faster than light, carried by currents of fate to a destination not even I can fully foresee."

I was speechless. My world—my entire world—was changing forever.

Everything I knew was being rewritten.

Lunaria stepped toward me again, her expression softening. "But you, Zavier… now you must choose your next path."

She raised three fingers.

"You may now join one of the three Great Academies that govern our multiverse."

Each name shimmered in glowing script behind her.

The Grand Clinnore Universal Academy.'Knowledge Above All. Evolution Through Mastery.'Academy of potential, magic, intellect, and transformation.

The Crimson Apex Academy.'Glory to the Strong. Power Earned in Blood.'Academy of warriors, conquest, survival, and raw might.

The Umbral Veil Institute.'Truth in Shadows. Knowledge in Secrets.'Academy of illusions, forbidden magic, and mastery of the unseen.

She looked at me expectantly.

I didn't even hesitate.

"I'll join Grand Clinnore."

Her eyes softened further. "Wise choice."

I took a deep breath, still feeling the weight of the new power humming quietly inside me. My mind itched with possibilities—of what I could create, of how I would wield this gift, of what it might cost me in the future.

But that was for another day.

Right now, I had made my wish. I had been chosen. The Earth was on the move, and a new era had begun.

I was no longer just Zavier King Von Drakaryn, a kid from Florida with too many questions and no power.

I was something else now.

Something the multiverse would have to reckon with.

And this?

This was just the beginning.
