Shadowed vows

Introducing: Kael the Oathbreaker & Sylis the Spell-Eater

They were never supposed to meet.

But fate? Fate is a feral, teasing thing and it loves chaos.

---

Kael — Half-demon, exiled war general.

Bound by blood oaths he swore then shattered with a single kiss. Wears sin like a second skin. His touch corrupts spells, and his mouth? Even dead gods would kneel for it.

Sylis — Arcane courtesan, trained in soul-binding magic.

Known for devouring sorcerers from the inside out (and sometimes the outside in). Kisses like poison. Eyes like eclipse moons.

They met during an execution.

Kael's.

He was shackled, shirtless, scars glowing, defiant as the flames rose. Sylis had been brought in to devour his remaining power to reduce him to nothing but memory and ash.

But the moment they locked eyes, the spell cracked.

Not from fear.

From recognition.

"Have we…" Sylis whispered, voice shaking.

"Touched in another life?" Kael smirked, leaning forward. "No, darling. But I plan to ruin this one with you."

Sylis should have killed him.

Instead?

He unbound him.

They fled through cursed lands, hunted by every court, chased by the same demons that once crowned Kael a king. Along the way, they fought ,biting, clawing, breaking spells in half with kisses that shattered windows.

And one night, inside a ruined cathedral lit only by moonlight through broken stained glass, it happened:

---

"You still want to kill me?" Kael asked, voice husky, his breath warm on Sylis's neck.

Sylis licked his lips. "No."

"What then?"

"I want to taste the part of you that gods were afraid of."

Kael grinned. "Then kneel, love. I'll give you divine ruin."

And ruin them, he did.

Sylis wrapped around him like a spell with no end. Kael took him like a hunger never sated. They didn't make love they devoured it. Bones shook. Glass cracked. And in the morning, the cathedral collapsed.

---

They never took vows.

But whenever they touched, the earth remembered.

Oathbreaker. Spell-Eater. Lovers by chaos, bound by wrath.
