After about thirty minutes, I leave the city with Cornelia, Melly, Anne, Julian, and even Felix for some reason. I tried inviting Sabine but the guild is busy. She just said to not cause too much trouble.
As for Felix, he was free. Even though he's not talented in combat, because he watched me training, he started training as well. He's not as strong as me without magic or Aura but I think he's strong enough to fight average people. Now that I'm going to fight the Fist King, of course he's interested.
The Fist King. That is not just a random title anyone can get. It's a proof of being strong enough in one thing that they can have the title of King despite not being a monarch. And not anyone can have that title.
There are also other Kings. Like Sword King, Spear King, and Archery King. Why not Bow King, I don't know.
It's not just for physical combat. There are also Flame King, Ice King, and other Kings related to the magic they're best at. So there are many of them. And from those many people I don't know how many of them will fall in the fight against the demon, will help in the fight, or even betray humanity.
They are strong, sure. But so are Keith, Jaden, Sven, and Rosalinda. But they didn't have such title. There are many things needed other than strength to prove that you're qualified to be a King. Most likely, political standing. That's not something those four have. Rather, they don't really care about it.
But for the Fist King, I know him from the game. Though I don't know his daughter at all. The protagonist only met him later after his daughter graduated.
In the game, he's stupid. He insisted to have the title of a King because he thought that he's the best at punching. That's not really wrong but there's also the fact that most strong people with punching talent died early. It's kind of obvious if they fought monsters. They need to be in a really close range to fight those monsters but monsters don't wait for them to get closer.
And so, the current and only Fist King ever recorded in history, will be fighting me. The fact that he's old enough to even be a grandpa means that he's really strong.
The truth is I'm afraid. But there are many more scarier things that will happen if I let this chance go. I hope doing this will make the Fist King improve even more and help us in the future war.
I might even lose this fight. But losing is not important. Proving him that I have better skills is more important.
I have trained boxing for a long time in this life. It's a measure I need to take in case I lose my weapon. I also trained in kicking but I trained punching more than kicking. I wanted to train in grappling but there's no sparring partner until I met the other Holy Knights.
Sparring with the other Holy Knights made me realize how people in this world train. No skill or technique. Just make your attack faster and stronger. Which is why I believe I have a chance of victory here.
Seeing how his daughter fights, I believe his style of fighting to be the same. It's amazing to see that a daughter inherited the same talent as her father.
Cornelia and the others show their worries about this fight. Felix is interested in it though. He said he's going to be a neutral party and the Fist King allows it Felix will referee our battle.
And he's already there. Waiting with his daughter near the forest.
"You're the one making fun of me? I'm sure my dad will beat you up. If you apologize to me right now, I'll tell my dad to hold back enough so you won't die," the Fist King's daughter says.
"Then if I say fuck you will he go all out? That's what I need from him so fuck you," I say.
Her face is red in anger. So is the Fist King's face. Now he won't hold back at all.
"I guess we don't have to wait long for the fight. Fist King, can I be the referee?" Felix asks.
"No referee! This is a duel and not a match! One of us will have to die here," the Fist King says.
"No. There are only two possible results for this battle. One is I lose and I die. The other one is I win and you surrender. Easy, right?" I suggest.
"You're dead!"
Without any warning, he dashes at me and pulls his fist back. As expected, no technique.
I'm sure his punch will be fast. But it's predictable so I dodge it and the punch hit a tree next to me. His punch destroying the thick trunk of that tree. Something I can't do without Aura.
That show of strength scares me. But I still believe that I can still win.
"All of you, move to the side and just watch," I say to Cornelia and the others. Felix seems down because he can't referee the match. But he's still going to watch it seriously.
"All of you can come at me together if you want," the Fist King says confidently.
"Nah, I'll fight alone. I can win anyway."
Then I casually pull out some bandages from my pocket. And in front of the Fist King, I wrap my fists with the bandage. It's hard to do it. I thought it would be easier. I should respect boxers more.
Well, they have their trainers do it for them. I'm alone so after wrapping up my left hand, doing the right hand on my own is hard. But I did it anyway.
"I won't hold back even if you're injured," the Fist King says.
"Oh, no. This is not because of injuries. I'm doing this to protect my knuckles because I will only use punches against you. It's to hit that hard head of yours. Alright, I'm ready now. Let's fight."
I put up boxing stance and prepare to fight him for real. He's really angry now so I'm sure he won't hold back.
And the fight is extremely easy. He's letting himself open for me to hit because his swing is very wide. But I stop myself from doing so because it won't teach him anything if I defeat him right away.
"Too predictable. I expected the Fist King to be good at punching. I was wrong. You're a horrible fighter," I say as I easily dodge his attacks.
"Shut up and fight!"
"I don't even have talent in dodging but you can't hit me at all. How ridiculous. The Fist King? You mean the Missing Fists?"
"Shut up!"
"I'll show you how to throw proper punches," I say.
After dodging his next attack, I raise my fists up. Then with my left, I throw a jab that he can't avoid right to his face.
He's tall so I have to throw a punch at an angle. But this is enough to hit him.
"I can't feel your—"
"Only idiot throw finishing punch in his first move! Or if they're not an idiot, it's only because their opponents are idiot. I'm not done yet!"
A fury of punches hit his face and torso. He's not dodging or blocking them at all. Not because he's strong enough to endure it. But because he has no idea how to dodge or block punches.
Left, right, straight, hook, and uppercut. I threw those punches and he can't block them at all.
He's still standing but blood starts flowing down from his nose. His body turns red from the punches I threw.
"AAAARGH!!!"
He screams like a beast and throws a punch at me. The usual predictable punch that I can dodge easily just by ducking.
Then twisting my hip, I pull my left fist back and throw a powerful left hook at the right side of his body. A powerful liver shot.
The hook hits his body right where his liver is. And just like that, he falls on his knees and even vomited.
"Damn! Sorry if I hit you too hard. I said that I don't want you to die. Cornelia, can you heal this old man?" I ask Cornelia.
Cornelia who is watching my fight with her mouth open quickly recovered and uses healing magic on the injured Fist King. And I can see his eyes are red in anger.
"I didn't ask for this!" the Fist King shouts.
"Yeah, but you can't handle my punches and vomited. I'm sure there are a lot of damages received as well. I said it before, I won't kill you. You're going to surrender. I have shown you how easy it is for me to dodge your punches. You got angry at me saying I can dodge your daughter's punches but now you realize that I didn't lie, right? I mean your punches are faster than your daughter's. Just say you surrender and we can end it here. I'm sure you have questions why I, someone who doesn't have a talent in punching or dodging, can easily dodge your attack and beat you in something you're supposed to be best at. You can ask. I will answer," I say.
"…I'm going to kill you for real this time!"
He stands back up and with some light surrounding him and gathering around his fists. That's Aura.
Being given a title of a King, for those specialized in combat; they have to at least be able to manifest their Aura. I guess this time there's no holding back for him anymore.
