Training the Fist King and His Daughter

"You're really making the Fist King come to this place?" Felix asks.

"What? Does a huge muscular man doesn't fit in a library? Also, I don't have a home yet here so this is the only place that is most appropriate for me to invite someone at a King level. It's better than at an inn where we will be everyone's spectacle," I say.

We're in the library after Felix told me this morning that the Fist King visited him and promised to come around this time with his daughter. That's why I'm here.

It's just one day after the fight. He must have thought a lot to make a quick decision. But I'm sure he's interested in how I can be so strong. Stronger than him even when I don't use Aura.

Maybe the things I said before to provoke him was correct. That he's the weakest King among all known Kings. That's why if he can get stronger from me, he will be happy.

"And what about Roland after yesterday? He's going to the academy normally?" I ask Cornelia who is here with her friends after classes is over.

"He's taking classes just like usual today. But he's annoying because he keeps asking us about you and if you have done anything bad at all," Cornelia says in annoyance.

That's annoying. Why did Asdis pick him to be the protagonist? Maybe because he's a genius he could have shown a lot of great potential so he's the right person as the protagonist of the game. Though I don't know the truth because Asdis herself said that she lost her memories due to returning back in time.

But too many things confuse me. Did she really forget everything? And then if I wasn't reincarnated, will Miroslav be alive? What if there's another soul in me?

I don't get it. And they're things that are too confusing to think about so I just store them deep inside my mind. Just thinking of how to survive is too much for me.

"Why are you so interested with Roland?" Anne asks me.

How do I say it to her? Because he's the protagonist of the game I played? I can't say that.

"He's a genius. But having two amazing traits is useless if the person himself is an idiot. He has disappointed me many times so I hoped that he won't disappoint me anymore. That's why I'm curious about him. Though I think I have had enough of him. Watching him will make me disappointed even more. And I think he has me labeled as a criminal no matter what. It's impossible for us to get along. If possible, I don't want to get involved with him anymore," I say truthfully.

Though the main cause of him hating me is Pearl. If only she's more careful about who she judges as evil and who is not, and she doesn't randomly tell anyone about her judgment, I think Roland will be a better person.

But because of that I know more about Roland now. A childish man who can't even make a proper apology. Not that he has ever said that. But it makes me annoyed because it means that he's a childish man who believes that everything he does is always correct.

I'm sure one day he will make an irreparable mistake. I don't need to help him or support him if that happens. But if it's related to me, I wish to stop it before it happens.

"Sir, the Fist King is here," a librarian enters the office and inform us our guest is here.

"Let him in."

The Fist King and his daughter enter the office together. And first, it's introduction first. I told them I'm Miroslav and an adventurer looking to create a clan soon.

"So you want to recruit my daughter for your clan?" the Fist King asks.

"More like hiring her to by in my clan. Unlike other clans where they will share the reward for their mission after the mission, we also have monthly salary for the members. So even if there's no mission for a whole month, the members can still receive monthly salary. But one thing the members of my clan need to know is that they have to prioritize my order. Of course if I say something irresponsible, the members will be allowed to question and complain about it. I will explain why the order is weird. The other benefit is that I can teach the members of my clan to be stronger. I can teach your daughter and you how to fight properly so even other Kings with weapons can still be defeated by you. That's if you apply my teaching to your training properly. It's up to you in the end how to train. Since you're a King, I can't just recruit you easily. But your daughter is different. She has punching talent like you but if you're the one teaching her how to punch, I know her weaknesses already," I explain to the two of them.

The two listened carefully to my explanation about my future plan with the clan. Melly and Anne who are going to join also listened. But I didn't tell them about the demon invasion. It's not the time yet.

I made the clan to be like that of a corporation instead with me as the president of the company. My order is clear and to be followed unless I said something stupid. For that, maybe I need a vice-president who knows common sense. It shouldn't be Cornelia who is a reincarnator like me so I'm thinking of letting Felix or Sabine to be in that position because they know I'm a reincarnator.

With monthly salary promise despite not taking any mission at all, they're interested. Even the Fist King who can't join the clan is interested. I also promise bonuses for those who are exceptional or achieving something good.

Maybe I need someone talented as a secretary or treasurer. I guess I can't just create a clan with only adventurers and combatants.

I do have alchemist, blacksmith, and other production-related talented people I'm interested to have in my clan. But I will also need staffs to take care of the internal problems.

After discussing about it, the Fist King and his daughter make their decision. They both look at me seriously.

"My name is Alice. A fourth-year student at Dahlia Academy and also the daughter of the Fist King. I would like to receive your teaching and join your clan," Alice introduces herself.

Good. That's the fifth confirmed members of the clan since I don't know when Rosalinda will be available to join. She's currently away from here.

"I'm the current Fist King and the only Fist King ever recorded in history. My name is Brady. As you say, I can't join your clan. But I would love to get stronger and receive your teaching," the Fist King says.

"Good. Once you learn how to fight from me, in no time at all you will surpass me since I don't have any combat-related talent. Now we have five members for the clan but you won't receive any salary until the clan is officially created but you don't have to worry about money. Well, it's not dark yet and I don't know when the Fist King has to return so let's start the training right away. We'll go back to where we fought yesterday and hope that no one will interfere this time," I say.

We just need a base. But before that, there are plenty of people I want to recruit. After training them for a few days, I'm thinking of going on a journey to recruit some people.

Cornelia, Melly, and Anne just train as they usually did after I taught them a bit. I just give them some advice and open up their mind to fully open their true potential with their talents.

As for the Fist King and Alice, I have to teach them how to punch. But it's not just that. Just punching won't make them strong enough to win a battle.

"This is for everyone as well including even Cornelia despite the fact that you're a mage. Footwork is important. You all watched my fight with the Fist King yesterday and should know that footwork is important in a fight especially for close combat. Adding attacking movements like punching or using any weapon with footwork will make it harder for your opponent to predict your attack. To increase the chance of victory, always make sure to put yourself at a distance where you feel you're the best at. For punching, it has to be close range. It's a bit farther for kicking. Then even farther for weapon. Footwork is also important to get close to your opponent if they're mages or specialized in ranged attack like an archer," I instruct them calmly.

They are the force who will fight the demons in the future. I have to teach them really well and make sure that they will grow many times stronger than this.

"For punching, use this stance. Don't swing your arm too wide for a punch. And don't always use your most powerful punch at the start. Use that with combination moves like this or this. It will be impossible for your opponent to block if you set up with quicker punches even if they're weak. Let's try it out."

And I train them for the next few days until it's time for me to depart. Sabine has finally informed me where I could find those people I asked her to look. Though I will look for Hal and Natasha first.
