The kiss had barely ended when a loud, collective gasp echoed from the other side of the café.
Gun and Lisa completely ignored this.
Jennie had frozen mid-sip of her coffee, mouth open in disbelief. Jisoo clutched her phone like it might explode, and Rosé had both hands clamped over her mouth, eyes as wide as saucers.
"HOLY MOTHER OF—" Jennie slammed her mug on the table. "Did that just—did I hallucinate? Did he—on his knees—and she said yes?"
"I blinked ONCE!" Jisoo wailed. "ONCE and now they're engaged? How is this real life? This is like some K-drama finale but live and in ultra HD!"
Rosé started to cry. Legitimately cry. "That was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! Gun just... just melted into a man-shaped poem! And Lisa! Our Lisa! She's soft now. She's got gooey eyes!"
The night air still clung to the edges of magic, heavy with the weight of everything that had just transpired. The streetlamp near the Midnight Throttle Café flickered once, then bathed the pavement in soft amber light. Lisa's tear-streaked cheeks glistened under the glow as she leaned into Gun's chest, her arms wrapped tightly around his torso.
Having just knelt in front of her, Gun proposed a future not defined by fairytales but by raw, honest devotion, now standing upright with her hands still clutched in his. Their kiss—gentle, passionate, sealing a pact forged in darkness and light—had just ended, and they were still lost in the afterglow of it when chaos returned in the form of three sprinting, breathless girls.
"Lisa!" Jennie shrieked, crashing into view, with Jisoo and Rosé right behind her.
"Oh my god—are you okay now? Are we okay? Is the world safe? Should we call the Vatican?" Jisoo asked in pure panic, practically sliding to a halt like a cartoon character.
Rosé, visibly shaking, peeked from behind Jennie. "Is it... Safe to approach her now? Like, are we going to get cursed or combust if we get too close?"
Lisa blinked, still clutching Gun's hand, and tilted her head slightly. Her eyes, still glistening, now narrowed with amused menace. "You think I'd curse you? After all we've been through?" Her voice dipped an octave. "Unless you want me to."
All three screamed.
"SHE'S STILL GOT THAT DEMON ENERGY!" Jisoo howled, ducking behind Gun.
"Gun, do something! Your demon girlfriend- sorry, fiancé, trying to soul-suck us again!" Jennie pointed accusingly at Lisa, who was now laughing-no, no, cackling—so hard she had to clutch her stomach.
Gun couldn't help it. He burst out laughing, a deep, rough, genuinely entertained laugh that echoed down the empty street.
Rosé, utterly frozen, whispered to Jisoo, "He's laughing. Oh my god. He's laughing."
Jisoo paled. "This is it. We're in an alternate timeline where the anti-Christ couple rules the Earth."
Jennie nudged Lisa carefully with the toe of her boot. "Are you... uh... emotionally stable now, or is this, like, a mid-transformation phase? Should we prep the holy water?"
Lisa wiped a tear of laughter from her eye. "You three are ridiculous. I'm fine. I'm more than fine. I'm happy."
Gun pulled her close again, grinning. "She's just high on post-proposal serotonin and demonic vengeance. Cut her some slack."
Jennie stormed over and bonked Lisa lightly on the head. "First of all: HOW DARE YOU scare us like that?! Do you know what we went through the last few weeks? I thought we were going to have to do an exorcism or something. You scared the living hell out of us!"
Lisa winced. "I know, I'm sorry—"
"Sorry!?" Rosé exclaimed. "You walked around like a haunted Victorian widow! You spoke in riddles! You stared at candles for hours!"
"At one point," Jisoo chimed in, "you whispered 'his shadow speaks to me' and then walked into a wall."
Gun blinked. "Okay, I missed that part."
"Oh, you missed a LOT," Jennie said, hands on hips. "She stopped eating. Do you want to know what other scary things she said?"
Lisa's ears turned red. "I was in love, okay! Unhinged... but love!"
Gun kissed the back of her hand. "I'm not judging. Just... remind me to never break up with you. Or blink wrong."
Jennie staggered backward like she had been shot. "I'm gonna need a defibrillator. And a therapist."
Jisoo clutched her heart. "Can someone please explain how we went from 'I will slaughter anyone who looks at him' to 'will you marry me?' in less than an hour?"
Lisa, now fully back to her mischievous self, walked over and playfully poked each of them. "Maybe if you listened instead of planning my exorcism, you would've known I was already committed."
Gun folded his arms and looked at them with faux sternness. "I did warn you I'd roast you if you keep acting like clueless NPCs."
Instantly, the three girls jumped back.
"NOPE. NOT AGAIN. I STILL HAVE PTSD FROM LAST TIME!" Jennie yelled.
Rosé raised both hands. "Respectfully, King of Hellfire, please do not roast me into emotional charcoal again. I have shows next week."
Jisoo nodded solemnly. "Sir, yes, sir. No roast required. We surrender."
Lisa looked between them, then doubled over laughing again. "God, I love you guys."
That earned a giggle-snort from Rosé.
Then the teasing began.
"Sooo..." Jisoo plopped onto the seat across from them. "When's the wedding?" Her grin was devilish.
"YEAH!" Jennie added. "Don't think you get to propose in front of us and not get grilled. Spill, Lisa! When do we get to dress up and ugly-cry again?"
"Who's the maid of honor?" Rosé asked, eyes narrowing.
Lisa raised an eyebrow. "Um... we just got engaged five minutes ago. Maybe let us finish the coffee first?"
Jisoo threw her hands in the air. "I CALL MAID OF HONOR. DIBS!"
Jennie gasped. "Excuse me? She and I have known each other the longest! I was there when she first said she liked- sorry, love Gun!"
Rosé raised a pinky. "Yeah, but I cried real tears just now. Look, I'm still crying. That's dedication. I should get maid of honor!"
"You guys are so dramatic," Lisa mumbled, trying not to laugh.
Gun leaned in, whispering, "This is better than any soap opera."
Jennie pointed a finger. "Lisa, you HAVE to choose. This is important. Maid of honor is a sacred position!"
Lisa blinked. "Can't you all be co-maids of honor?"
All three girls paused.
Then:
"NOPE."
Gun had to hold back laughter as the three launched into a full-on, mildly chaotic debate.
Jisoo: "I already have a speech written!"
Jennie: "I have two speeches and a playlist!"
Rosé: "I already dream-designed the flower arrangements!"
Gun turned to Lisa. "You realize they're going to make a PowerPoint presentation to win this?"
Lisa, grinning now, leaned against his shoulder. "And I'll love every second of it."
Then Jennie turned serious. "Okay, okay. On a real note..." She moved closer, her eyes a little watery. "I'm happy for you, Lali. And for you, Gun. You two... You make sense. In that kind of fated, slightly concerning, but somehow perfect way."
"Yeah," Rosé nodded. "I haven't seen Lisa smile like this in a long time. Like, genuinely glow."
Jisoo sniffed dramatically. "You're going to make me cry again, dammit."
Lisa beamed, then stood and hugged each of them. "I'm sorry for scaring you. I lost myself for a bit... but I'm back. Because of him."
Gun stood beside her now, his hand on the small of her back.
"And this," he said, voice soft, "will stay between us. No press. No articles. Just us. For now."
Jennie gave him a thumbs-up. "Respect. But just so you know, if you hurt her, we will break your legs. Artistically."
Rosé added, "With glitter bombs. And emotional damage."
Jisoo whispered, "I know a guy with a llama."
Gun blinked. "I... what?"
Lisa laughed so hard she doubled over. "God, I missed this. I missed you all."
Later that night, they ordered cake from the café's kitchen, toasted with espresso shots, and sat in a cozy circle.
Rosé sang a sweet improvised ballad called "He Kissed Her Under Café Lights," which made Lisa blush like mad.
Jisoo insisted they practice slow dancing in the aisles between tables.
Jennie took blurry photos and swore to make a scrapbook titled "When Lisa Became Gun's Wife (And Also a Slightly Terrifying Fiancé)."
The night was filled with laughter, teasing, gentle touches, and the kind of joy that comes when you see someone you love finally find their peace.
And as the lights dimmed, and the city's hum returned, Lisa and Gun sat quietly, fingers laced.
"I used to think love would destroy me," Lisa whispered.
Gun pressed a kiss to her temple. "And now?"
"Now I think it saved me."
Gun rested his head against hers. "You saved me, too."
Gun clapped once. "Alright, now that we've all survived the emotional apocalypse—who wants cake?"
"You have cake?" all three girls said in perfect unison.
He tilted his head toward the Midnight Throttle Café. "I make a mean chocolate lava cake."
The girls squealed.
Rosé gasped. "Marry HIM. NOW."
Jisoo clutched her chest. "Chocolate is my love language."
Jennie winked. "If you ever get bored with Lisa, call me."
Lisa growled. "Jennie."
"Kidding! Kidding!" Jennie raised both hands, laughing.
They walked toward the café as a group, the street behind them quiet once more. The world didn't end. The stars still blinked above. And Lisa, Gun, and the girls were finally, finally whole again—laughter echoing down the street like a symphony of second chances.
Maybe love didn't always arrive in the prettiest package. Sometimes it came with engine grease, bruised knuckles, psychotic declarations, and very confused best friends. But when it came, it stayed.
And when it stayed, it laughed.
Hard.
Together.
Forever.
2 Months skip,
The concert had ended in thunderous applause, the entire arena trembling from the echoes of screams and cheers. The stage was lit with a symphony of lights—gold, violet, and pink glitters dancing above like falling stars. BLACKPINK stood at the edge of the stage, their breaths heavy, their faces radiant. Two and a half hours of pure, pulsating energy had culminated in a finale so electric, some fans were still weeping with joy. Lightsticks blinked in rhythmic waves, banners were held high, and the atmosphere throbbed with uncontainable adoration.
As the music dimmed and the staff cleared the stage, the much-anticipated fan meet-up began. It was a cherished tradition after BLACKPINK's major concerts, and tonight, the energy buzzed like never before. A large LED screen descended behind the girls, displaying messages and artwork from fans. The stage crew brought out high stools, water bottles with glitter sleeves, and individual microphones for the members.
Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa took their seats, their cheeks still flushed with adrenaline, their laughter bubbling uncontrollably.
"Thank you for staying back, BLINKs!" Rosé said, voice sweet and sparkling as she twirled on her stool and waved with both hands.
"Seriously, we love you guys so much," Jennie added, flipping her hair back and giving a charming wink. "Tonight felt like a dream."
"And because I didn't fall during my solo for once," Jisoo interjected proudly, raising her hands. The crowd laughed and clapped.
Lisa smirked, lifting her mic. "Okay, okay, let's get into what you all came for. Q&A time! Throw your best questions at us!"
A fan near the front stood up with her mic, cheeks glowing. "Lisa, if you could collaborate with anyone not in music, who would it be?"
Lisa paused, blinking. "Hmm... a non-musician? Maybe... a barista or a biker or both? They're creative, right? Like, latte art is practically a performance."
Rosé raised an eyebrow. "Why do you sound like you're talking about someone specific, hmm?"
Lisa laughed nervously. "No! Just speaking generally!"
Jisoo leaned over with mock suspicion and whispered. "A barista with tattoos and sexy forearms, perhaps?"
The crowd hooted. Lisa turned crimson. "That's oddly specific, unnie!"
Jennie muttered to herself, without the fans hearing. "Oh, you mean like the one who makes you blush every time we mention coffee? And the one for whom you scared the shit out of us."
Another fan jumped in. "Jisoo, who's the biggest softie among you all, off-camera?"
"Lisa," Jisoo replied instantly. "Swag on stage, tears in her pillow when her anime character dies."
"Hey!" Lisa gasped. "That was ONE time!"
Rosé added, "It was Doraemon, babe. Not even a sad episode."
Lisa groaned. "He was waving goodbye! That's emotional!"
More laughter erupted. A brave soul from mid-crowd shouted, "Jennie, do any of you have a secret boyfriend?"
The arena went silent in anticipation.
Jennie raised a brow. "If we did, we wouldn't just tell you like that... or would we?"
Jisoo added, "We're married to the music—and maybe our pets."
Jennie whispered dramatically, "Or maybe a rugged barista."
Lisa nearly fell off her stool. "Unnies, PLEASE!"
Another fan waved a huge sign: "Lisa, are you in a relationship?"
Lisa choked on her water.
"Oh wow, okay! Next question, please!" she squeaked, frantically waving.
Rosé narrowed her eyes. "Hold up. That giggle? That's the giggle of someone hiding a juicy secret."
"Yep," Jisoo agreed. "Her face just said, 'I have a Pinterest wedding board.'"
Lisa waved her hands defensively. "I am single! Like a Pringle! Snackable but... untouched!"
Jennie snorted. "If you're single, I'm a penguin."
Fans were now buzzing with curiosity, exchanging theories.
But suddenly Jisoo spotted something or perhaps someone.
Jisoo squinted. "Wait... wait a minute. Is that—?"
Rosé leaned forward. "Oh my God... it is!"
"GUN?!" Jennie yelled. The fans went wild, murmurs of confusion and excitement rippling through.
Lisa's head whipped around. She gasped. "GUN?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"
Suddenly, the screen behind the girls flickered, and the live crowd cam zoomed in on someone at the very back. A tall figure with an effortlessly calm presence stood out among the jumping fans.
The camera focused on him. Tall. Broad-shouldered. Dressed in a fitted black Henley that outlined his strong chest. Rolled sleeves revealed tattooed forearms with intricate designs—dragons, roses, runes. A silver ring glinted on his hand. He smiled softly, eyes only on Lisa.
The crowd erupted.
"WHO IS THAT?!"
"DID A K-DRAMA CHARACTER COME TO LIFE?!"
"IS HE A MODEL? AN IDOL? A HITMAN?!"
"THOSE TATTOOS! I NEED HIS SKINCARE ROUTINE!"
Lisa was now redder than Rosé's mic stand.
Jisoo stood up, pointing dramatically. "BLINKs! This... is Lisa's FIANCÉ!"
The arena detonated.
Screams. Gasps. A fan sobbed openly. Another dropped their phone.
"LISA! YOU'RE ENGAGED?!"
"I THOUGHT WE HAD A CHANCE!"
"WHO IS HE? IS HE REAL?"
Rosé added with a grin, "He's the barista Lisa kept writing poetry about. The one who once told her, 'If the world burns, let's dance in the flames.'"
Lisa slapped her forehead. "I need new friends."
She picked up her mic. "Security! Please get him up here before I explode!"
The audience screamed louder. Two security guards made their way through the chaos and escorted Gun to the front. Fans cheered like he was a rock star. Some girls blew kisses. A few waved 'Marry me instead!' signs.
Gun stepped onto the stage, cool and composed. He gave a small wave, locking eyes with Lisa, and she pulled him close.
"BLINKs," she said softly, her voice cracking, "this is Gun, Park Jong Gun. My person. My peace. My future husband."
The arena lost control.
Fans screamed declarations of love and heartbreak.
"DO YOU HAVE A TWIN?!"
"I VOLUNTEER TO BE YOUR BEST MAN!"
Gun laughed as fans kept firing questions.
"Gun! Are you rich?"
"He runs a coffee shop!" Jisoo said.
"A hot barista?! MY FANFIC DREAM!"
One girl screamed, "TATTOO DADDY!"
Gun chuckled and replied, "I'm just a guy who makes a killer cappuccino and loves Lisa."
Lisa wiped a tear, laughing. "And breaks mugs when he tries to dance."
Another fan asked, "How did you two meet?!"
Lisa answered, "A rainy night and a broken car, I went to a nearby cafe for warmth and a cup of coffee, but with coffee, I found my future husband, who is a biker too."
Rosé swooned. Jennie faked fainting.
"Gun, what's your skincare routine?"
"Lisa's serums and terror."
The girls burst out laughing.
Amale fan asked.
"Which bike do you ride, bro?"
"An Indian Continental GT or also known as the Royal Enfield GT 650, though I have a S1000rr, Panigale V4 Lambo edition, and an H2R."
The boys started to fawn over him after they heard his bike collection. Cuz men got their priority first.
Another fan: "Can you pick Lisa up with one arm?!"
Gun effortlessly lifted Lisa by the waist. The audience screamed.
Lisa yelled, "Put me down before I propose to you like you did!"
Jisoo placed a hand on Gun's shoulder. "You hurt her, we hurt you."
Gun nodded. "Deal."
Lisa turned to the crowd. "He's not a celebrity. But he's mine. And you needed to know."
Gun took her hand. "And I'll be her shield. No matter what."
A fan shouted, "KISS! KISS!"
Lisa leaned in and kissed his cheek. The stadium went into meltdown.
Jennie grabbed a fake mic. "Wedding livestream, anyone?"
Rosé raised an imaginary toast. "To Lisa and Gun! May your coffee be strong, and your love stronger!"
Jisoo yelled, "You all better start practicing your wedding chants!"
BLINKs screamed, clapped, cried, and laughed.
That night, it wasn't just a fan meet-up.
It was history.
A love story unveiled.
Genuine. Glorious.
Unforgettable.
