My voice echoed throughout the halls, as I bolted to the central corridors, the assassins presence zipped past me like lightning.
-Stab-
She was too fast, I couldn't see anything.
The next thing the rainbow blade was lodged in my chest.
I collapsed, but my body managed to reach the corridor, there I saw it.
The guards stationed at the library entrance laid dead, and another figure cloacked in a red robe stood above them.
"You couldn't even handle a slave..?" The male voice spoke mockingly tucking his head to the side as he glance at the black robed lady.
"Shut up" she said, flushed.
"This one was a little bit.."
She paused
"Troublesome ", those were the last words I heared before my consciousness drifted into the dark abyss.
[Player has died..]
[Simulation ended..]
'Argh..'
I felt like a rubber ball floating in the air, my legs, arms and all part of my body felt like they weren't there.
'Am I in heaven?'
A huge screen popped up in front of me..
[!!!!Beginner bonus!!!!!]
[Congratulations go have got 100 life points and 5 existence stones]
[Player has died, would you like to use a life point?..]
I stared at the screen in a daze.
'Yes..'
[The use of a life point has been initiated]
[Returning to checkpoint]
**Whoosh**
Wind blew past my hair, my eyes widened.
The light from the windows blind my eyes as I stood frozen in the trophy room.
[You have returned 7 hours before main event]
"Seven hours.."
All the previous experiences flooded my mind, the rainbow daggers, the two assassins the dead guards...
'Was it all a dream...' I thought.
'No.. it was too real to be a dream' I looked at my burnt palms.
[Blood lust detected]
I flinched.
"That definitely wasn't a dream, that was real." I spoke with a soft huff, bewildered.
'And this system, somehow could transport me back to the past, and those life points..'
I looked around, I still couldn't see anyone.
The assassins could hide themselves very well and would only appear in the next seven hours or so.
But I had an upper hand.
I knew when they would strike.

I noticed there were a tone of new options like voice conversation and missions.
'missions..'
[Mission : kill the intruder and protect the prince
Reward: 1 existence stone
consequences for failure-revoke of reward and possible death ]
I looked at the message in front of me with a mix of emotions.
Fear, confusion and a sense of urgency.
"Kill the intruder..?, How do I do that.."
"Grey.."
I heard Amy's voice behind me.
Amy stood there with here maids attire staring at me about to touch my shoulder.
As I turned to look at her she flinched.
"What.." I asked, not nonchalantly this time more like with curiosity.
"T-the cooks made dinner.." she said, a bit flustered.
My eyes widened.
"Could you repeat that"
"Huh..?"
"Could you repeat what you just said" I held her shoulder.
"A bit nervous she stepped back a bit"
"What.." she looked at me in confusion.
She's saying the exact words she said the last time.
"I-I said the cooks made dinner" she said a bit frightened.
"Sorry I was just checking something.." I let go of her shoulder awkwardly.
'There goes my aura'.
"Apology accepted I guess.." she rubbed her shoulders.
"You haven't eaten anything since morning so I thought it's would be better to give you your food.."
She actually held the plate of white rice in a tray for me.
"I appreciate it thanks" I said.
"You can keep it in my dorm, I'll come to get it later" I said.
She nodded and walked away.
This was what happened last time.
I have to figure out a plan lest I be dead in the next 8 hours.
The frist strategy is to alert the guards.
I gathered my courage and approached the mysterious guards at the library.
My scrawny appearance and ragged clothes, made the guards look at me with teaming disgust.
It wasn't long before I figured that'd be a terrible idea.
'What would I say??. Sir if you don't listen to me you'd be dead in the next eight hours?. Or sir are you blind?, can't you see this house is crawling with assassins, nah that won't work either."
In the end I just had to tell the guard something at least, I couldn't possibly do this on my own.
I walked up to the towering Knights, they were so intimidating up close, with their bulky frame and height at towered above me it was pretty easy to get intimidated.
"S-Sir" I spoke, the two knight stood unmoving, like statues, not even sparing me a glance.
"Gentle men" I called out again.
No answer.
"Umm esteemed men.."
No answer.
"Hello..?"
No response.
I was beginning to think these guys were just empty shells.
I tried walking past them, but before my hand could touch the door, one of the knights hand moved like a lightening bolt to his hilt and the mirror like blade was inches away from my throat in a single frame.
I gasped.
'Fast'.
"Don't disturb his majesty" they both spoke in unison.
" Disturb his majesty my ass, were Both about to die if you don't get up and actually guard this place for real..."
I gritted my teeth.
"As we speak assassins are watching us right now, if you don't do something, your dear prince is gonna die for real "
No response.
'Are these guys brain dead?.'
It couldn't be help.
Night quickly fell.
I stood at the kitchen entrance, as all the maids exited the main building.
" if the guards aren't gonna do something, then I will."
I stood at the entrance as the last maid left the manison.
It was empty.
Any minute now.

[Blood lust detected]

I touched the door, and a a screen appeared.
[Object contains existence, would you like to absorb?]
I took a deep breath.
"Yes.."
