AURORA
"This was a mistake."
The words tumble out of my mouth as I frantically adjust my dress. My fingers are shaking. "We shouldn't have done this."
Kian's eyes narrow. "Don't do that."
"Do what?" I snap, searching around for my underwear.
"Pretend you didn't want it," he says, tucking himself back into his pants with infuriating calm. "I can still taste you on my tongue."
Heat floods my cheeks. "Stop talking like that."
The knocking at the door grows more insistent. "Hello? Is anyone in there?"
"Just a minute!" I call out, panic rising in my chest.
I find my underwear near the sink and quickly step into them, wincing at the wetness between my thighs. Evidence of what we've done. Of what I've done to Liam.
"You should leave first," Kian says, stepping back. "I'll wait a few minutes."
I nod, unable to look at him. I rush to the mirror, gasping at my reflection. My lips are swollen, my hair a mess, and there's a visible red mark forming on my neck.
