His House, His Rules

**AURORA**

"I'm not leaving him," I said firmly. "If what you've told me is true, then Liam needs professional help. I can't just disappear while he's in such a fragile state."

Kian's jaw tightened. We stood in the dimly lit hospital corridor, the antiseptic smell burning my nostrils. The fluorescent lights above us cast harsh shadows across his face, making his features look even sharper.

"He doesn't deserve your concern," he said, his voice low but intense. "Not after what he's done."

I shook my head. "This isn't about what he deserves. It's about doing what's right."

"What's right?" Kian let out a humorless laugh. "He installed cameras in your home, Aurora. He watched you sleep, shower, change clothes. That's not something a friend does."

My stomach churned at the reminder. The violation felt like a physical blow every time I thought about it.
