Chapter 154 - Confessions and Moving Forward
Hazel's POV
When we returned home, Leo retrieved his favorite set of building blocks from his bedroom and scattered them across the living room carpet. Liam settled beside him on the floor, and together they constructed towers and castles while animated characters danced across the television screen.
After our evening meal, exhaustion claimed our little boy. Leo's eyelids grew heavy as he nestled against his father's chest, and Liam insisted on carrying him to bed personally. When he returned to the living room, he pulled me close on the sofa, his arms encircling my waist.
"Vera, we have things we need to discuss." Liam's voice carried a weight of unspoken concerns. "There's so much I'm dying to understand about these past months. But I also have confessions to make. I'm not sure where to begin."
"Tell me about Fresh Foster first," I requested, turning to face him directly.
