Kael stood at the window of the sanctuary tower, staring at the valley below. Lireen leaned against the opposite wall, silent.

Kael turned to her. "You feel it too?"

She nodded. "Something is beginning. Not loud... not yet. But it's coming."

Far below, in the secret chambers beneath the Inner Court, five figures sat around a table carved from obsidian.

One of them the man with eyes like dead coals spoke.

> "The flame girl has fled. The Shadow is with her. The Architect will awaken."

The others nodded. The war wouldn't begin with swords, but with truths buried too long.

At the Wraith Cloister, Kael trained harder than ever. Not with weapons but with his will. He read old scrolls about the Tethering. He learned the structure of lies used by nobles to erase bloodlines. He deciphered the dialect of hidden spells only known to those who served the Architect centuries ago.

Lireen watched him, her eyes unreadable.

They touched foreheads. Silence. Understanding.

In the moonlight, they burned their old travel cloaks. They would not hide anymore.
