Chapter 10

Derrick waited anxiously outside the Warfang Pack's territory.

His men and the security guards showed no reaction.

Randal told me about it.

He wanted me to decide for myself whether or not to see him.

I turned a deaf ear, lying motionless on the bed.

After a long while, Randal turned to leave.

Derrick waited outside, but after a long time, no one came out.

He couldn't help but shout.

"Viola, I was wrong! Please, come out."

"I know you're angry. Come out, and I'll explain everything."

But still, no one paid him any mind.

It wasn't until midnight that Randal knocked on my door again.

By then, I was already on my feet.

I knew all of this had to come to an end.

Randal draped a coat over my shoulders.

"Be careful not to catch a cold."

I placed my hand over his as he fastened my coat.

"Don't worry, I won't catch a cold. I'll be back soon."

The corners of Randal's mouth lifted into a faint smile.

I slowly walked out from the Warfang Pack's territory.
