Alexandria

Case merely followed and kept to Velez's path as they stepped out of the building.

The scattered gazes from nearby onlookers were giving him a look which he paid no mind since attention is something he was too familiar with.

He received it from his past life and nothing had changed from this time.

Clink—!

Once he was out of its premises, Case still couldn't help but be slightly surprised the moment he saw hundreds of people, almost counting to thousands, looking in his direction.

Well, not technically, as most of their gazes were directed to the woman at the front, Velez.

She gradually lifted her hand, and in an instant, the flashing lights and camera shutters fell silent.

Demonstrating her authority with just a sway, Velez smiled and curtly explained, "The man standing beside me is Case Kellys. I believe he's the first one to passed the test. Before anything else, I would like to bring him back to proceed to the next stage of the Earth's Camp."

Clink—!

Camera's light shuttered left and right as the buzzing sounds of curious mouths began to swarmed over the lobby.

But before they could even surround Case, even if Velez was there, a bright platform appeared under them before they disappeared.

The last thing Case saw was those people who were about to swarm them before being in a completely different place.

Technology humanity can't comprehend is all around the place, walls within were moving according to someone's will, and robots were seen assisting their employers to the best of their abilities.

"Welcome to Alexandria. AI, register Case Kellys, the person behind me, to be able to enter and exit around this spaceship. Scan his whole being. If someone asked who this guy is, just tell them he's under my wing."

The walls within the spaceship seemed to have answered not a second later. Not too loud but enough for the two of them to hear it.

"Affirmative, Lady Velez."

Velez, who is proud to show what her kingdom is capable of to her presentative, was expecting lots of praise from Case himself.

Yet the only thing she received was a non-excited response that didn't seem to care.

"Good."

Velez couldn't help but knit her brows at that not-so-passionate answer as she looked in his direction.

Case was too focused on planning for the future that he didn't realize the common mistake he did just now.

But it was for a good reason since he couldn't let this chance slip by, and that is meeting with the commander of the ship, Auralex.

Yet he soon lost focus the moment he felt the piercing gaze coming from Velez, which made him shiver and come to his senses.

Case immediately acted surprised, as his face earlier seemed almost like a joke.

"O-oh wow! This ship is magnificent. If Earth decided to fight this behemoth, we'll all be wiped out in the face of the world!"

'He showed surprise when only I was looking at him. This kid… it seemed like nothing ever surprised him. The test and now the ship that I'm proud to be part of. Just now… he tried to fake it out.'

Velez shook her head as she came to her conclusion.

'Sigh, it must be a personal matter that he became… less emotional? In hindsight, that kind of emotion is needed when someone is on Outer.'

Just a few encounters from Case, Velez could only draw out this kind of conclusion. For a moment, he was willing to adjust to this kind of person since she wasn't there to give him life lessons and such.

A person having a bad past is normal in Outer.

"Ma'am?"

Velez shook her head before saying, "From now on, call me Lady Velez. Being called 'ma'am' is something formal. It's what everyone who is my league calls me. Since you'll become my representative, it's only natural. Not that it meant we're equals, but you get it."

Case could only nod once before musing inwardly. 'I don't remember her talking much when I was a commander. Please just lead me to your treasury so that I get the fucking gift!'

As if he heard his mind, not the part where he just cursed her, Velez waved her hand, and a floating car manifested in front.

"Hop in."

Case didn't wait as he immediately sat at the floating car before steadily making its way towards what he assumed to be their treasury, where each representative would be receiving.

"Although it seems nothing would surprise you, I'll just tell you a bit about Alexandria." Velez paused as she relaxed on her seat, "Made out of scales from a Stranger and mystical alloys mined through the God Planet, it gave birth to one of the strongest spaceships at the Antavon Kingdom."

She proudly boasts, "It's not just that. This ship was also made by the Highest Crafter of the whole Tholarion Sovereignty. This big baby is a mixture of impenetrability, absurdity, but also supremacy. Only a few ships could contend it in this, the authority of the Sovereignty."

'Yea, couldn't care less… My ship is better than you guys. Though it hasn't been born yet today haha.'

Case had met Alexandria in his past life, so much so that he couldn't even count how many times it had already happened.

During those times, his ship could stand toe-to-toe with it, and with much more improvement in later stages, Case's ship became above them.

But that's all in the past.

Case was thinking of going even further, much farther than everyone.

'Heh, remembering those past times sure brings me back… But I'll leave those future plans to the future. For now, I have to put everything today.'

Velez talked so much after that Case just ignored most of them since everything he knew about Alexandria was being repeated through her mouth.

Velez would be even more devastated if she knew Case probably had more knowledge of the ship than she did.

The ride went smoothly, and it didn't take long before Velez led Case to a vault, openly revealing it to him as if he didn't mind that he would expose it outside.

'Hehe…'

If only she knew what was on his mind…

'I'm going to hoard this place when the time is right. Oh thank you, Velez. Showing me the way of my 'possessions'. Hahaha!'
