CHAPTER 20: SHINING FANATIC

Sukuna stood amidst the burning wreckage of the lower subway, arms crossed, the cursed firelight flickering across his tattooed skin. He was quiet—unnervingly so. His rampage had torn Shibuya apart.

Then…

Footsteps.

A silhouette emerged from the smoke—

Megumi Fushiguro.

His clothes were shredded, and blood dripped from his jaw. But his eyes—his eyes held resolve.

"So you're the one who caused all this,"

"I'll stop you."

Sukuna chuckled, licking the blood off his hand.

"You? You're barely standing. Come, entertain me."

Megumi summoned his Ten Shadows.

Nue. Divine Dogs. Max Elephant.

Each came forth in waves. They charged Sukuna—

—and were immediately obliterated.

Sukuna didn't even move from his spot.

But Megumi gritted his teeth. His eyes flickered with something deeper—

A decision had been made.

He closed his eyes and whispered:

"Itadori… you really are annoying."

"But thanks. You gave me the resolve to do this."

His hands formed a new sign.

A forbidden one.

"Come forth… Mahoraga."

The subway cracked open.

Chains burst from the ground.

The sound of rotating wheels echoed like the tolling of a cursed bell.

Mahoraga — the Sword of Exorcism — descended.

Sukuna's eyes widened in delight.

"Finally. Something fun."

The battle shook the Earth.

Mahoraga struck with divine fury, adapting instantly to Sukuna's cursed slashes.

Even Malevolent Shrine couldn't erase him immediately.

Sukuna was forced to think. To struggle.

Blood dripped from the King of Curses.

"You're actually useful, Megumi."

Sukuna grinned wide. And then—

"Ryoiki Tenkai — Malevolent Shrine!"

This time, Sukuna adjusted the output.

And Mahoraga—for all his power—was finally destroyed.

The beast was shredded into oblivion.

Megumi's eyes rolled back. His body dropped.

Unconscious. Defeated.

Sukuna stood over him, bloodied but triumphant.

He raised his hand for the final blow—

"Oi, brat…"

The voice came like thunder through the smoke.

Sukuna froze.

"What the hell are you doing… with my son?"

A man stepped forward.

Barefoot. White shirt. Eyes glowing with unrelenting bloodlust.

It was Toji Fushiguro.

And he was smiling.
