Freya’s POV

Mistake? What mistake?

My spine straightened where I stood, stiff as a rod. He’d already handed back my phone in silence, and I thought maybe that was the end of it. But clearly, he wasn’t done.

My eyebrows shot up, and I couldn’t help echoing my thoughts. “My mistake?”

Seriously? After everything? Stella was the one who tried to humiliate me—again. She dragged me into a locked room, stood there with a camera, and watched while her friend tried to—

And I was the one being questioned?

“I’m sorry,” I said tightly, arms folded across my chest, “but how exactly was I the one in the wrong here?”

Clarence’s gaze didn’t shift. “You didn’t come to me. Or to the dean. You had evidence. You knew what she was planning. And instead of reporting it through proper channels, you chose to confront her yourself.”

I blinked. “So… You think I staged this?”
