This chapter is here to answer some of the questions that have come up so far in the story.
About the Protagonist's Impact
The main character is a transmigrator, so the very moment he arrived, the world started to change—at least a little. Treat this as a parallel universe: his personal power is limited, so don't expect earth-shattering shifts early on.
The first 50 chapters are all about growth and buildup. There won't be wild changes or "defeat Roger in one chapter, take down Im in the next" kinds of power trips. No instant invincibility here—just steady progress.
Even if you were reborn 20 years ago and became a billionaire or a top official, you still wouldn't have the power to decide who becomes the world's richest person, or to alter the fate of global superpowers. Early on, the changes are small. Around chapter 50, things start to pick up.
Some events will play out differently from canon due to the protagonist's actions—for example, the bodies of Captain John and Silver Axe from the God Valley Incident. In the original, Moria stole their corpses, but here, they've been destroyed, so Moria won't get them. The worldline is shifting, but the big picture remains. One person's strength can only change so much; the world order isn't so easily moved.
And if characters have never crossed paths, there's no impact—like how, in canon, Sakazuki and Kizaru both joined the Marines in 1490 at age 23. In this story, the MC joined at 12, and it's only 1486 now. Kizaru hasn't appeared yet, and the MC isn't going out of his way to find him. Everyone's living their own story.
About the Mag-Mag Fruit
In this story, the Mag-Mag Fruit was acquired not long after the MC transmigrated. Think of it like this: if you want to go east but someone else takes over your body and decides to go west, your original path gets derailed. Sakazuki's life trajectory changed, so there's no way to pinpoint exactly where he would have gotten the fruit. I just gave it to him directly.
There's a detailed explanation about the three Admirals' Devil Fruits in point 16 below.
Also, the MC isn't invincible. If he tried to solo Roger or Whitebeard now, he'd get wrecked. He's only 19. If he could already beat those legends, he'd be toppling Im by 21—what would be left to write then?
Vice Admiral Promotion
The MC joined the Marines at 12 and became a Vice Admiral at 19. Seven years to Vice Admiral—too fast? Not really.
In canon, Aokiji joined at 19 and was already a Vice Admiral by the Ohara Incident at 27. If the elite class is three years, that's just four years to Vice Admiral. Logia fruits give a massive boost—maybe not as useful in the New World, but they're overpowered in the Four Blues and early Grand Line.
Here, Sakazuki has been fighting pirates on the front lines since 12, racking up achievements. With the Mag-Mag Fruit, his promotion is well-earned.
Timeline Adjustments
Originally, I had some timeline errors. Now everything's been pushed two years earlier—the God Valley Incident is in 1484. If you spot any inconsistencies in earlier chapters, let me know so I can fix them. I've tried to update everything, but some details might have slipped through.
About Dragon
At 19, Dragon hasn't witnessed the world's darkness yet. Right now, he's just a strong Marine officer, not the revolutionary we know. His different mindset only starts to show during Roger's execution, which is still years away. Not everyone's born extraordinary—Dragon wasn't always a rebel. Change comes through experience. The MC won't go out of his way to approach him; some things just need to happen naturally.
About Techniques
Some skills are inspired by ideas from before transmigration, but imitation isn't the same as the original. For example, the "Ten Billion Death Burial Array" is modeled after Ryujin Jakka, but this world's system is different. When Sakazuki uses it, it's just mindless magma giants charging forward—if they're destroyed, that's it. No fancy reassembly like Ryujin Jakka.
I'm aiming for a world that feels true to One Piece—not just stacking on broken abilities and Devil Fruits. The MC isn't invincible, and I know some readers may not like techniques from other worlds, but you can't spam Great Eruption forever.
The MC's actions will shape the world, but it's not about being all-powerful and steamrolling everything. If he were, he'd just join the Revolutionary Army, beat Im in a few years, and everyone would live happily ever after… but that's just a fairy tale.
Sudden power shifts can be dangerous—history shows that those who rise too quickly can become even worse than what came before. Real change takes planning and patience. Defeating the Celestial Dragons and Im doesn't magically create peace—it's not that simple.
On the World Government
The World Government has ruled for 800 years. Even monsters like Rocks lost and died. Strength alone isn't enough—only Roger ever truly flipped the world's table.
Heavenly Tribute taxes push people to sea, but remember, most countries in the One Piece world are monarchies. High taxes may seem harsh, but most people accept them as normal for the era.
Roger's era inspired countless young people to become pirates, leaving behind the old and the young. When productivity drops and oppression reaches its limit, rebellion follows. This gave rise to the Revolutionary Army, which is a recent development in the timeline.
As for the Celestial Dragons, the MC can't just kill them on sight. The most stable way to change the world is to seize power from within—become one of the top leaders, control the Marines, and then move against the government in a way that avoids massive chaos. Killing a Celestial Dragon outright would just get the MC branded a pirate and hunted down, leading to more bloodshed and instability.
A pirate crew can't govern the world, and even if the Revolutionary Army wins, ruling hundreds of countries overnight is a fantasy. Change needs to be gradual and well-planned.
Why Zephyr Wasn't an Admiral at the Start
The God Valley Incident was in 1484. After the war, Garp was hailed as a hero but refused promotion. Zephyr became Admiral in 1486, setting the record as the youngest ever—but not the first. Sengoku is five years older and likely became Admiral before Zephyr, with strength, a Mythical Zoan fruit, and Conqueror's Haki.
There's no way there were no Admirals before 1486. Also, the elite class existed before Zephyr taught his first students—it wasn't created just for him. If nothing else, treat this as a unique setting for this story.
Conqueror's Haki
Enemies the MC faces may have it, but he doesn't—yet. In canon, Conqueror's Haki usually awakens after a major shock or a surge of willpower, like Doflamingo's hatred or Luffy's desperation to save Ace. The MC just hasn't had that kind of life-or-death moment yet. Be patient.
About Magma's Power
Don't get hung up on temperature debates. If you're curious, look up the power of the Tonga volcanic eruption for reference.
The System
There's a "Boundary Gate" on the system panel, intended for use after the One Piece story ends, in case I want to keep writing. It allows for some extra upgrades, making the MC a bit stronger than canon. Otherwise, there are no wild cheats—trying to keep things authentic.
Marines and Pirates
Everyone was probably moved by something in One Piece at first, but as the story expanded, the worldview became more complicated and split opinions. Every character has their own story, so I'll try to write from a fair perspective, not taking sides—let readers judge for themselves.
Some plotlines are original, because the world isn't just what the manga drew. There will be original chapters—like "The Roar That Shook Heaven and Earth." Buster Calls and pirate massacres each have their own complexities. There's no perfect world, so I'll do my best to portray things fairly.
About Chapter Length
This is my first time writing, and sometimes I just run out of ideas. Lately, people have commented on the short chapters, and I've noticed it too. I'll try to write more moving forward.
Some of the earliest readers might remember—there were times when a chapter was barely a thousand words. The early chapters are a bit rough, and I'll revise them when I have time.
Feedback on Early Chapters
If you spot any issues in the first 50 chapters, please let me know. I can feel that my early writing was a bit clumsy. Point out anything that seems off, and I'll fix it when I can.
Any Unreasonable Points
If you find anything that doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll update it ASAP.
When Did the Admirals Get Their Devil Fruits?
In this story, the three Admirals got their fruits before joining the Marines. In the film "One Piece: Strong World Z," Zephyr tells Kizaru, "Borsalino, I should have taught you not to rely too much on your Devil Fruit." Their only teaching connection was in the elite class, so Kizaru must have already had his fruit, and Sakazuki—his peer—would have too.
Aokiji became Vice Admiral just a few years after graduating, which also suggests he had his powers from the start.
It wouldn't make sense for the government to hand out three top-tier Logia fruits to rookie Marines. If they had them, they'd give them to CP0 or at least high-ranking officers, not new recruits. It's just probability—on a sea this vast, some Logia users are bound to join the Marines naturally.
About the Sky Island Arc
Honestly, I'm a bit stuck with the Sky Island arc. I was misled by summaries—most of the time, the story jumps straight to Enel, so my outline had the MC going to Sky Island to deal with Enel and the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. But after checking the anime and more detailed sources, I realized Enel's homeland was destroyed six years before the main plot, and only then did he take over the Land of God.
This means my entire Sky Island plan got thrown out the window. I'm still figuring out how to handle it, so please be patient.
In the end, I'll do my best to reason things out and portray a One Piece world that feels real and alive.
