Chapter 10

After I returned that day, the Elder informed me.

Madron had relented and agreed to sever the mate bond.

The Elder had originally wanted to negotiate more benefits for me.

But unexpectedly, Madron had voluntarily given me all the assets acquired after our bond.

I was stunned for a moment, then I looked at the astronomical figure the Elder had sent over and smiled.

Who would complain about having too much money?

Time flew by, and my belly gradually grew bigger.

"Amara!" Lucas stood before me, looking like he was about to pass out from anger.

"What were you thinking, running off like that? You're pregnant with my child, and you didn't even tell me?"

I rubbed my ears. "I didn't ask you to take responsibility. It's not like I can't afford to raise a child on my own."

Lucas closed his eyes, steadied his breathing, and silently chanted to himself not to argue with a pregnant woman.
