28. Crimson Voltage

The battlefield was silent for a second…

Then—

BOOM.

A streak of electric energy tore through the dark sky like a raging god's whip.

Above, Moon was falling.

His black shirt fluttered wildly in the air, black dark hair whipping in every direction.

Both his hands tightly gripped the Uzui-style twin Nichirin blades, and they were crackling with green lightning.

His eyes burned. His body trembled.

But not from fear—

From the hunger to fight.

Suddenly, he screamed.

Not out of pain.

Out of rage.

> "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA—!!"

A massive thunderbolt struck the ground just before he landed, exploding like a divine hammer smashing the earth.

BOOOOOM!

Dust blasted in all directions.

A cluster of rookie-level Tauras—creatures with rhino-like bodies and razor horns—were instantly electrocuted to death, their burnt bodies twitching before falling still.

> You have slain a Tauras.

You have slain a Tauras.

You have slain a Tauras...

---

Moon landed in the middle of the blood-soaked earth, kneeling, breathing heavily.

His eyes flicked upward slowly—green, glowing, and full of madness.

All the Tauras nearby paused.

Even the beasts sensed something had changed.

Something dangerous.

Moon slowly stood.

Then, from his pocket, he pulled out a cigarette.

Click.

He used a spark of electro from his fingers to light it.

One deep drag.

Exhale.

Smoke rose as he tilted his head. His mouth formed a twisted grin.

> "Let's begin the massacre."

---

Then it began.

In ten seconds—

Twenty Tauras were dead.

The twin blades sliced through muscle and horn like paper.

Heads rolled. Limbs flew. Blood painted the rocks.

Every slash of his blade carried electricity—stunning, burning, slicing.

> Khach! Thak! Shlick!

Moon didn't stop. He didn't breathe.

He became a blur of violence—cutting, flipping, spinning.

But then—

A sudden roar came from his right.

A Fighter-level Tauras, nearly 2x times his size, charged like a bull possessed.

It slammed into Moon with full force.

CLANG!

Moon barely blocked with his right sword, but the impact sent him skidding back.

He gritted his teeth.

The Tauras growled, trying to push him down.

Moon's feet dug into the ground. Sparks flew as their horns and swords locked.

> "Tch... Strong one, huh?" Moon muttered.

Suddenly—

Four rookie-level Tauras charged from behind, aiming to pierce him while he was locked.

---

Kai and Ruby dropped from above like comets.

> Kai: "Not so fast."

Kai unsheathed his blue katana and slashed with clean precision—9 Tauras fell.

Ruby, glowing with firelight, swung her red claymore with sheer brutality, knocking some of them into a tree.

The ground cracked beneath them. Blood started to form small pools near their feet.

> Ruby: "How long is he planning to fight alone...?"

Moon was still locked with the Fighter Tauras—his arms trembling now.

Then, out of nowhere—

A horn from another Tauras sliced across his shoulder.

Blood sprayed.

Moon stumbled.

More Tauras surrounded him.

They started attacking from all directions.

One stabbed his thigh. Another scratched his ribs.

But Moon—he only laughed.

> "Hahahahahahahahahaha..."

His body started glowing with faint black-purple evil light.

His laughter grew louder.

More twisted.

> Snap.

Crack.

Zzzzzzzap!

Then—

He spun.

Like a bladed hurricane.

Like a damned Beyblade of death.

His blades tore through everything in his radius.

Tauras heads flew. Bodies split in half. Horns shattered like glass.

The ground became a graveyard.

He stepped on one Tauras's head and crushed it under his boot.

But more beasts came—now furious.

Moon grabbed the chain attached to his blade's hilt and started swinging it.

The whirling blade turned into a lightning saw, decapitating anyone who came close.

Every step he took left a trail of corpses, blood, and ringing system notifications.

---

Meanwhile—

Kai and Ruby were fighting back-to-back.

> Kai: "We need to get to him—he's losing!"

Ruby: "I know! Just hold the front, I'll clear the rear!"

Ruby slashed a Tauras skull with her claymore, which is now glowing like the sun.

Kai's blade sliced cleanly through two more as he tried to push forward.

They slowly advanced toward Moon.

But the sound they heard next chilled them.

It was louder than any Tauras scream—

Moon's maniacal laughter, echoing like thunder.

---

Above, James was sweating.

Watching from afar, helpless.

> "Damn it... he's gone too far in."

Beside him, Minji was firing explosive arrows in rapid bursts.

> Thwip! Boom!

Thwip! Boom!

---

Back in the center—

Moon's face was a mess.

Blood ran from his forehead.

One of his arms hung awkwardly still holding sword —possibly broken.

But his body glowed with golden incantations, like runes tattooed by lightning.

This was Panoply.

> "Tch... I'm still standing...?" he smirked, coughing blood.

Suddenly, he raised both hands behind his back, bent slightly forward, and shouted:

> "You weaklings think numbers matter?

Ten... a hundred... ten thousand?!

I'll kill you all!

And once you're dead—

I'll feast on your children's corpses!!"

---

That broke something.

The Tauras army collectively screamed in fury.

They rushed with full force.

Moon's eyes widened.

His speed... was dropping.

His legs... heavier.

> "Damn... killed over a hundred already... but..."

He slashed one. Then another.

But he was losing control.

> "You grass-eating piles of meat... How about tasting my sword, huh?! You cow-faced PRICKS!"

---

Kai and Ruby noticed it.

> Kai: "He's slowing... we're running out of time."

Kai raised his hand, focused deeply, and created a sharp water arrow.

Then, he summoned a protective water bubble around him and Ruby.

> "Get ready!"

Then Ruby also summons her flame like arrow just beside kai's water arrow .

Both arrows were actually colossal in size newry 10 meters

BOOOM!

Firstly Ruby's arrow burst

All rookie Tauras within its range started to melt.

Then Kai's arrow hit them .

Their muscles separated from their bones.

They screamed—but were washed away.

But the attack was costly.

Kai dropped to one knee, panting.

Ruby caught him.

> Ruby: "You okay?"

Kai: "Go... to Moon."

They ran.

They almost reached him.

But—

A firm, heavy hand slammed into both of them from the side.

Not too strong to crush—but enough to send them flying.

They hit the ground and rolled.

They were at least 1000m far away from the Place ,

When they looked up .

The entire top section of the tree they stood on earlier was now falling from the sky.

As if thrown by a god.

It falls a little far from them.

It blows a heavy mass of dust into the air.

Then suddenly a man with blackish brown hair and a girl with white hair came out of the dust coughing, with only some bruises , not any major injury .
