Magellan on the Verge of Collapse

Soon, the Sphinx's enormous body began to tremble—not from rage, but from pure fear.

Seeing this, Roya completely lost interest.

"Considering how big you are, it couldn't have been easy growing up. I'll let you off today. Now scram!"

Before Roya had even finished his sentence, the massive Sphinx turned tail and fled, sprinting back through the giant gate like a terrified rodent.

Its enormous frame thundered with each step, causing tremors so intense that the entire second level of Impel Down felt like it was about to collapse.

The vibrations were so violent, they even reached Level Six.

---

In the darkness of Level Six, Jinbe abruptly opened his eyes from meditation.

"Such intense shaking... Only a creature as massive as the Sphinx could cause that."

"Could it be... Straw Hat Luffy has attacked the prison?"

"That reckless kid... charging in without even confirming Ace isn't here?"

Jinbe tried to pull at the chains binding his arms—but they were made of seastone, completely draining his strength.

"I just hope the kid figures out the truth in time... and gets out alive."

---

Back in Level Four, inside the Chief Warden's office...

Magellan violently slapped aside the monitors on his desk, screaming:

"Where the hell are my surveillance feeds?! Why aren't they online yet?!"

The guards in the room stammered, none of them able to explain.

All the monitor Den Den Mushi were still in a deep, inexplicable sleep, as were the normal ones—completely unresponsive.

The entire prison had fallen into a state of information blackout.

Any communication now had to be relayed manually—the old-fashioned way.

Magellan stared at his frightened subordinates, his rage only intensifying.

"Where the hell are Hannyabal and Sadi-chan?!"

"Why are you all standing there like idiots? Go find them—now!"

"Or do you want me to personally poison the entire prison and call it a day?!"

The guards bolted from the office like their lives depended on it—desperate to escape both Magellan's wrath and his toxic stench.

---

Domino wiped cold sweat from her brow, steeling herself as she entered the office.

"Reporting, Chief Warden. The defense on Level Two has failed!"

"The intruders didn't even fight—their sheer presence alone was enough to completely intimidate the Sphinx, who turned and fled without a fight."

"All beast wardens on the level have been wiped out. The inmates are starting to riot!"

She paused briefly to glance at Magellan's expression behind her glasses, recalling what he'd shouted moments ago.

She pressed on:

"Sir, please understand. It's not that I was ineffective—it's that we simply don't have enough personnel."

"The Demon Wardens and Blue Gorillas can't be mobilized. The Beast Wardens are missing. Commander Hannyabal is unreachable. I truly did my best under the circumstances."

Magellan chuckled coldly.

"Domino, I haven't even finished flushing yet, and you're already volunteering for bathroom duty?"

Domino's face drained of color. Her knees gave out, and her blonde hair came undone as she collapsed to the floor.

"Please, Chief! I beg you—don't do this! I really did try my best!"

Magellan slammed the desk with a thunderous smack, his voice icy:

"I gave you two chances, Domino. Two!"

"And you still haven't delivered even basic information about the enemy!"

"Their numbers? Their abilities? Anything?!"

"You call that 'trying your best'?"

"Get your ass in there and start scrubbing the toilets!"

"Once we deal with this breach, I'll deal with every last one of you worthless fools."

Domino didn't dare argue. She crawled out of the room on her hands and knees, dragging herself toward the filthy restroom.

Magellan sighed.

"Level Two has fallen..."

"If Saldeath's line on Level Three collapses next, we'll be finished."

"And with communication systems down, we can't even rely on the Navy for backup…"

---

Meanwhile, on the staircase leading to Level Three, Boa Hancock could no longer suppress her curiosity.

"Lord Roya… what you used to subdue the Sphinx just now… it wasn't Conqueror's Haki, was it?"

Hancock herself had cultivated her Conqueror's Haki to an extremely high level—she knew its signature feeling well.

But throughout the encounter, she hadn't sensed even a trace of it from Roya.

It didn't make sense.

Could another form of Haki have a similar intimidating effect?

Or… had Roya already developed a fourth kind of Haki—beyond the known three?

Roya felt her confusion through his Observation Haki.

After a moment of silence, he decided to explain.

"All I did was use my Observation Haki to let it see its own future—one where it attacked me and was instantly killed."

Hancock froze for a moment, stunned.

"Is that… the high-level precognition of Observation Haki? But… it didn't feel like that…"

Behind them, Buggy, who had been chattering nervously the whole time, finally went quiet.

Part of it was fear—Roa's strength was terrifying.

But truthfully, he was dying to know the answer too.

Roya normally wouldn't waste time answering questions that meant nothing to anyone but himself.

But seeing Hancock's curious, radiant eyes, and the way she tilted her head in thought…

He gave a small sigh and smiled.

"Fine… Think of it as a bit of a lecture."

He continued:

"What most people believe to be 'future sight' with Observation Haki is just a shallow version."

"It only predicts your opponent's next move in the heat of battle—based on their aura and muscle tension."

"But what I used just now is something else entirely."

"It forcefully injects that predicted future directly into your opponent's mind—a psychological attack."

"A mental assault."

"They see a vivid future where they're completely and utterly defeated… and their will to fight is crushed before the battle even starts."

"Mental assault..." Hancock and Buggy both gasped in unison.

"So… if someone's Observation Haki is inferior to yours, they'll never even have the courage to fight back?"

"No wonder Mihawk was acting so strange!"

Roya chuckled.

"Mihawk's mind is stronger than most. His future sight actually predicted his own defeat—which is what triggered the breakdown in his composure."

Hancock murmured in awe:

"Then… Observation Haki… might actually be the strongest of all."

"It can reach directly into the heart. That's power beyond anything else."

Roya neither confirmed nor denied it—he simply smiled faintly.

But in his mind, a thought took root:

What would happen if I continued to push my Observation Haki even further—beyond mutation, beyond any known limit?

That single thought made Roya look forward to the rest of this campaign even more.

Because once this invasion of Impel Down was over, his name would once again shake the world—

And with the Navy forced to raise his bounty, he would finally have enough attribute points to test his new theory.
