The Heavenly System Sect was officially booming. Over the next week, the valley transformed even further. New houses sprang up, a proper mess hall was completed, and the training grounds were constantly filled with the sounds of new disciples practicing
. Master Glimmer, the cheerful engineer, was practically humming with delight at the efficiency of my system-enhanced workforce.
My original five disciples, now seasoned veterans, were doing an amazing job. Jian was organizing training schedules, Fang was overseeing defense, Old Man Huo was leading beast hunts
(and probably telling tall tales about my "subtle" meteor shower), Xiao Mei was setting up a sect library, and Li, with her [Minor Charisma System], was the ultimate morale booster, making everyone feel welcome and excited about their new lives.
I, meanwhile, was busy. My [Basic Elemental Affinity (Earth)] was getting surprisingly good; I could now create a small, sturdy stone stool with moderate effort.
My [Minor Combat Prowess System] made my sparring sessions with Jian (who was still much stronger, but I could at least dodge his attacks now) surprisingly fluid.
My [Basic White Wings System] allowed me to zip around the valley, overseeing construction and occasionally delivering urgent messages (or just showing off).
And my points? They were climbing! My disciples were out on missions, gathering resources, fighting minor beasts, and every time they succeeded, my dashboard would ping with a small point gain. It wasn't the massive 500-point bonuses from the tournament, but it was steady.
[Points: 10,000]!
"Alright, System," I muttered to my dashboard, sitting in my (still luxurious) room. "Ten thousand points! Time for some serious shopping! The System Shop is fully unlocked, remember?"
The System, predictably, remained silent. It was probably still in its "smug and almost proud" phase.
I navigated to the [SYSTEM SHOP]. It was even more dazzling than I remembered.

[WEAPONS], [CONSUMABLES], [UTILITY], [MARTIAL ARTS SYSTEMS], and now, gloriously, [GROUP SUPPORT SYSTEMS]. But my eyes kept going back to the main [SYSTEMS] tab, where the really powerful stuff lay.
I thought about little Lyra, the Foxkin girl. She was settling in well, playing with the other children, her golden eyes slowly losing their fear.
But she was still small, still vulnerable. And I had promised her something strong. Something amazing.
"Okay, System," I decided. "Because of that emotional talk with Lyra, I'm going to give her a system. But which one?"
I scrolled through the [SYSTEMS] tab, looking for something that would truly empower her, something that would make her feel safe and strong.
I passed by [Enhanced Cooking System] (tempting, but not for safety), [Minor Illusion System] (good for stealth, but not direct power), and even [Super Speedy Laundry System] (again, tempting, but not what she needed).
Then, my eyes landed on a truly unique one. It glowed with a faint, mesmerizing purple aura.
[Purple Fast Aura (One Hand)] - Cost: 7,000 Points
(Manifests a powerful, fast-moving purple aura around one hand. Extremely sharp and capable of cutting through most defenses. Can kill a 9th Layer cultivator in a second. Requires precise control. High energy consumption.)
A purple aura. Fast. Powerful. Could kill a 9th Layer cultivator in a second.
That was me! It could kill me in a second! This wasn't just strong; this was terrifyingly potent. And it cost 7,000 points. That was a huge chunk of my hard-earned (and System-gifted) points, leaving me with only 3,000.
"That's so good, to be honest," I muttered aloud. "But 7,000 points?! That's almost all of it!"
I thought about it. I could buy a [Martial Arts System (6th Layer)] for myself for 1,800 points.
Or a [Minor Teleportation System] for 5,000. But this… this was raw, destructive power. And it would make Lyra incredibly strong, incredibly safe.
Then, another thought struck me. "It's even very good for me," I mused. If I bought it for myself, I'd have a devastating attack. But I had promised Lyra. And besides, I had my own unique systems.
She needed something truly powerful for her protection.
"Okay, okay," I decided, taking a deep breath. "I will give it to her. It's a massive investment, but her safety is paramount.
And it's a unique system. It'll make her truly special."
I mentally confirmed the purchase. My points immediately dropped. [Points: 3,000]. Ouch. But it was for a good cause.
I sent a message to Lyra (the Foxkin girl) through one of my disciples, asking her to come to my private training area. A few minutes later, she arrived, her golden eyes wide with curiosity.
"Sect Master Alex?" she whispered, clutching a small, hand-carved wooden fox.
"Lyra," I said, a smile on my face. "Come here. I promised you something strong, something amazing. And I found just the thing."
I extended my hand, and the shimmering, purple-hued icon of the [Purple Fast Aura (One Hand)] system materialized above her small palm. It pulsed with a raw, dangerous energy.
Lyra gasped, her eyes widening even further.
"W-what is this?" she whispered, her voice filled with awe and a hint of fear.
"It's a system, Lyra," I explained gently. "It will give you incredible power. A powerful aura around one of your hands, capable of cutting through almost anything. It will make you strong. It will make you safe."
She looked from the glowing icon to me, then back to the icon. She was hesitant, perhaps sensing the raw power within it.
"It's a lot of power, Lyra," I said, my voice serious. "It will take practice to control. But it will protect you. And you'll be able to protect others."
Her golden eyes met mine, and I saw a flicker of determination replace the fear. She slowly, tentatively, reached out and touched the icon.
The moment her finger brushed it, a blinding flash of purple light erupted, enveloping her small form. The air crackled, and I felt a surge of immense, raw power. It was far more intense than any system allocation I'd done before.
The ground beneath me trembled.
Lyra cried out, not in pain, but in surprise. Her small body stiffened, then relaxed. When the light faded, she stood there, breathing heavily, her eyes closed.
She slowly opened her eyes. They glowed with a faint, purple light. She looked at her right hand, which now shimmered with an almost invisible, but palpable, purple aura.
She clenched her fist, and the aura intensified, a faint hum emanating from it.
"I… I feel it," she whispered, her voice filled with wonder. "Such power… it's incredible!"
"Alright, Lyra," I said, a grin spreading across my face. "Let's try this. Just a small demonstration. Can you… can you try to cut this?" I pointed to a sturdy, training dummy made of hardened spiritual wood that Jian had set up.
Lyra looked at the dummy, then at her hand. She concentrated. The purple aura around her hand intensified, becoming more visible, more defined.
She slowly, deliberately, extended her hand towards the dummy.
Swoosh!
Her hand moved with impossible speed, a blur of purple light. It didn't punch the dummy. It simply… passed through it.
With a clean, almost silent cut. The spiritual wood dummy, which had withstood countless Qi attacks, simply split in half, a perfectly smooth, purple-tinged line running down its center. The two halves fell to the ground with a dull thud.
My jaw dropped. That was… insane. She hadn't even touched it! It was like a super-powered laser beam in a tiny fox-girl's hand.
Lyra stared at the split dummy, then at her hand, her golden eyes wide with shock and awe. A small, triumphant smile slowly spread across her face.
My dashboard: [Successful System Allocation Bonus! Points: +1,000]
[Points: 4,000]
(Cost 7,000 points, 1,000 points profit. Still a net loss of 6,000 points, but a significant bonus for such a powerful system!)
"Whoa," I breathed. "Lyra… that was… that was awesome!"
She looked at me, her eyes shining. "Sect Master Alex… thank you. I… I feel so strong!"
"You are strong, Lyra," I said, a proud smile on my face. "And you're going to get even stronger. Now, let's work on control. We don't want you accidentally cutting down the mess hall, do we?"
She giggled, a sound of pure delight.
This was it. This was the power of the fully unlocked System Shop. Not just minor buffs, but truly game-changing abilities. I had given a frightened, vulnerable Foxkin girl the power to defend herself, to wield a force that could cut through a Ninth Layer cultivator in a second.
And in doing so, I had gained a loyal, powerful disciple.
My points were back up to 4,000. Still not enough for that [Martial Arts System (3rd Layer)] for 44,000 points, but enough for some serious upgrades for myself, or perhaps some [Group Support Systems] for the sect.
