a dangerous snake

Mo Yan was brought into the room by Yu Sui, who gently helped him sit near the table.

With soft and delicate touches,

Yu Sui began to carefully remove his clothes to examine the wounds and tend to them properly. Mo Yan's spiritual power had given him some relief from the pain, but the comfort he felt upon being with Yu Sui again was far more soothing than any spiritual treatment could offer.

He couldn't take his eyes off Yu Sui.

It was as if....

if he looked away for even a moment...

Yu Sui would disappear again. Without any hesitation, Mo Yan leaned forward and embraced Yu Sui tightly. The tears falling from his eyes bore witness to one truth: without Yu Sui, he was nothing but a lifeless body.

But with Yu Sui by his side, he came alive.

When he was with Yu Sui, he needed nothing else....no spiritual force, no medicine, no treatment. Just one touch from Yu Sui was enough to replace them all.

That same night…

The weather hadn't changed.

The sky was still gloomy, with stars hidden behind thick clouds, as if they were hiding on purpose.

Mo Yan sat writing something on a piece of paper. Yu Sui returned from outside, bringing him tea brewed in a bamboo cup.

But strangely, there were no disciples keeping guard outside tonight.

That was because Duie had deliberately dragged all of them far away to a distant lotus pond, forcing them on a wild hunt for a "dangerous snake" that never even existed.

He had done it for one simple reason....

to give Mo Yan and Yu Sui a moment alone together.

And so, the poor twenty disciples ended up searching for a snake that was never there in the first place...
