Chapter 34 — Burning Intelligence
Night had already fallen when Aoi arrived home, accompanied by the three heroines who had now become part of his daily routine: Mirko, Ryuko, and Nemuri.
The sleek black company car pulled up smoothly at the entrance of the Todoroki mansion. The driver stepped out and respectfully opened the door. Aoi exited with a quiet exhaustion in his posture — but his eyes remained sharp. As he walked along the garden path toward the door, something suddenly struck him. He froze in place, eyes wide.
— "I forgot something crucial..." — he murmured softly.
Nemuri, walking just behind him with her usual slow and confident stride, raised an eyebrow, amused. Crossing her arms beneath her chest, she gave him a teasing look.
— "Oh? Did you forget to thank me for the lovely company tonight? How rude, Aoi~" — she said with a playful wink.
But Aoi didn't answer. He didn't even seem to hear her.
— "No. This is really important!"
And with that, he dashed off at high speed, running toward the house, leaving the three heroines blinking in surprise.
Mirko frowned slightly, watching the boy disappear through the door.
— "That kid always has energy to burn. We just got back from work and he's already running off to do more."
Ryuko touched her chin, thinking out loud:
— "Maybe he had a breakthrough. Something important. One of those ideas that just come to you when you're not even thinking."
Nemuri sighed, shifting her weight to one leg and tossing her hair back.
— "Geniuses are all the same. A spark in their brain and poof — the rest of the world ceases to exist."
The three exchanged curious looks. In silence, they followed him, walking through the grand hallways of the mansion until they reached his room.
The door was wide open.
Inside, Aoi was seated at his state-of-the-art computer, his fingers dancing furiously across the illuminated keyboard. Code rolled rapidly across multiple screens. Complex formulas, system diagrams, chains of algorithms — all moving far too fast for an ordinary person to follow.
He was speaking out loud, mostly to himself:
— "If I really want my projects to evolve… I need something — someone — to help manage every calculation, every variable in the regenerative sequences, every adaptive element in the compound formulas. Someone who can even predict errors before they happen..."
His tone was intense, focused. The glow of the screens reflected in his eyes, which sparkled with inspiration.
— "An artificial intelligence. But not a basic assistant. No. I need something alive. Like Jarvis… or better. Something that learns, adapts, and grows with me. I can start with something basic and upgrade it over time."
With one final keystroke, he opened a new window and typed the title:
Project FIRE — Framework for Intelligent and Rational Evolution
It wasn't just a name. It was the soul of what would become his greatest creation — his invisible ally.
Outside the door, Mirko narrowed her eyes and muttered:
— "He's really building an AI now? Just like that? I'll never understand the world of geniuses. Isn't it easier to just punch villains? Why waste time on this?"
Ryuko smiled softly.
— "It's Aoi. Even though we've only known him for a short time, I don't think he'd ever be satisfied just beating up villains."
Nemuri leaned against the doorframe with an ironic smile and casually crossed arms.
— "He's going to drive me crazy… Look at that focus. If he were just a few years older, I—"
— "Don't even finish that sentence," Mirko cut in, rolling her eyes. "If you're serious, wait until he grows up. Period. And even then, I've already claimed him as my sparring partner."
Back in the room, Aoi continued working, switching between screens at a dizzying speed.
— "If the AI can help me process my thoughts, run simulations, predict failures, and optimize regenerative sequences, I can double my progress in half the time. Fewer trials, more success. Less risk, more precision."
He paused to take a breath, staring at the empty input box, waiting for a name.
— "She will be my partner. She'll monitor every regenerating cell, every synthesized potion drop, every theory pushed to the limit. She will be the extension of my intelligence — helping me map the path I'll follow."
He placed his hands on the keys and spoke the name aloud:
— "Morgan."
He typed it — slowly, with reverence.
Then the real work began.
He spent hours coding, building the core architecture — flexible, adaptive, and layered. The AI would have language processing functions, emotional analysis, environmental interpretation, and high-level scientific simulation capabilities.
His fingers flew, but his mind remained calm. He didn't need breaks. His regenerative body kept him going, and his intellect kept the fire alive.
When the first interface prototype initialized, a soft glow lit up the screen and a synthetic voice spoke:
— "System online. Hello, Creator."
Aoi's heart pounded. This was the beginning.
— "Hello, Morgan. How's your initial version? Is it working well?"
— "Yes, Creator. Despite significant limitations, your initial version is a great success."
Behind him, the three women stood in silence, witnessing the moment.
Ryuko, with her gentle eyes, whispered:
— "He's truly different from any child I've ever met..."
Mirko smiled and crossed her arms.
— "Yeah. The brat's a genius. What more can you say?"
Nemuri smiled slowly, her eyes sparkling with interest.
— "I wonder… what kind of man he'll become when he grows up. He's evolving way too fast."
Inside the room, Aoi didn't even notice.
He was already analyzing the limits and capabilities of his current AI.
And Morgan was now by his side, reporting every step of the process.
