25. Trial [1]

Noah Orion's POV

"You know you should eat properly, right?", a beautiful woman said.

"I know but it's hard, the ongoing war is making everyone uncomfortable and I am scared as well, if the war does take place thousand innocent are going to die.", I said to her.

"We can't do anything, the leader of martial alliance is hellbent on removing the heavenly demonic clan", she said.

"That bastard, how the hell he got selected?", I said.

"Corruption, lobby and many other crimes.", she said.

"The world is now drowned in the dirty water of corruption. I used to aspire one day to use my sword and become the beacon of justice but who would have thought my own father is so deranged.", she said.

"Fair enough, the only thing we can do is survive and try to make the world a better place for the younger generation to come.", I said.

Suddenly, the scenario changed.

"Mu yer, Mu yer,", I screamed her name but the blood flowed continuously.

She was not alive anymore.

"Don't worry, I will reclaim this world from the dirty water it has been stained with just you wait. They all will die.", I said as I gritted my teeth as hard as I can.

"AHHHHH!", I woke up from this nightmare sweating.

"What? Where am I?", I asked.

But no one was there to answer me.

Suddenly, I felt a searing headache.

"Yeah, I was about to end the mission and got chased by assassin.", I said out loud as I suddenly remembered what had taken place.

"That crazy bastard just had a mana bomb strapped on his chest.", I said as I tried to stand up.

"Fuck!!!", The pain utterly rendered me useless.

"Dimensional storage necklace.", I said as I tried to activate it.

I then saw the portions emergency signal and the radar drop and reached my hands onto it to grab it.

"Shit!", the pain made it extra hard to open it.

I twisted off the cap and drank three portions.

"Ha", I felt alright as the pain was now lessened by 50%.

It still hurted like hell but it was bearable now.

I then pressed the emergency button to at least let them know I am alive.

"Let me stand up now.", I said as I proceeded to stand up.

I then looked at my body.

My chest still had the dagger mark from the stabbing and the mana bomb gave me quite a number of bruises.

I then took out the bandages and bandaged myself up.

"This is good, let's figure out where am I?", I said as I started to walk.

I took out my radar and saw no life form where present in the radius of 100 m and went out.

The place looked like an abandoned village.

All the buildings were broken like a huge scale war had taken place.

"This reminds me of good times.", I said sarcastically.

Then at the centre of this village was the cathedral. It was broken and had a sword in the Altair chained up.

"What is this?", I said as I took a closer look.

It looked like a beautiful black sword with a flower guard and the handle had a twisted texture and red gems embedded on the pommel and the guard.

"This is a good sword.", I said as I tried to lift it.

As I reached out my hand, the back suddenly started to burn.

"What the?",

I then saw the blade in the Altair also started to emit a dark red glow.

Then as I lift up my head, I saw words forming in the sky.

[You have 30 days to pass the trail and prove yourself worthy of 'Dark Cathedral Edge']

"What!", I was confused.

"How do I pass this trial?", I asked the letters on the sky.

"What the fuck?", I said in frustration.

From looking at the sword in the Altair and the words on the sky, I knew it would be not wise to just start the trial now.

"I need more information about them.", I said as I started to walk back towards the abandoned village.

I needed more information before I would need to understand there power.

I needed to take a rest for a day.

I then laid down on the floor of the one of the destroyed houses and went to sleep.

"ZZZZZ",

The pain in my body was now getting better and I was able to sleep properly it felt like o was in a women's embrace I have forgotten a long time ago.

"This is comforting.", I said as I slept through the day like a baby.

Unfortunately, unknown to my knowledge, a lot of things have started to take place in the Orion family.

Caroline Junn's POV

"He should have finished it already, shouldn't he?", I asked Lyra.

"Yeah, I think so Thaldrin has went to pick him up.", Lyra said.

"I hope that he is not hurt anywhere.", I said with a worried face.

"Mam, you know he is very strong right?", Lyra said laughingly.

"It would be very hard to kill him with his insane power as well", Lyra said.

"Yeah, but still, he is my son. I will always worry about him.", I said as I started to fidget with my fingers.

Lyra seeing me like this said, "Don't worry everything is going to be alright.".

"Yeah, it should right, yeah.", I said to calm myself down.

"Mam, something has happened in the military base.", Ellie rushed in to say it.

After hearing it I felt my world collapse.

"What?"

"Young master was ambushed by assassins and they had a mana bomb,", Ellie said but I could not understand anything she said.

I was now overcame with rage.

"Who sent the assassins?", I asked Ellie.

"According to Ron and Thaldrin, it was assassin named Ragnar from the Dunn family.", Ellie said.

"I will destroy her.", I screamed and started to emit aura at a scaring rate.

"Mother what is going on?", Josephine came and suddenly asked.

"Ellie, I have something important to do. I will come back.", I said as I rushed towards the Juliene's house.

"I will kill you.", I thought.

But as I was going I saw Richter standing.

But I decided to ignore him and still go.

Suddenly I felt something stop me.

"Richter, let me go she had to pay.", I screamed knowing well he knows what happened.

"No, wait for a month for Noah, if he doesn't come back I will personally kill Juliene and the Dunn family.", Richter said.

"You, I don't' believe you but the fact that you are here still calm makes me angry. It was my mistake Richter for marrying you and making you the father of my children.", I said as my rage turned into hatred and I decided to fly back.

"Yea, I know.", Richter said as he disappeared from his place.
