What happens if an ordinary muggle gets an ancient Sumerian grimoire?
No, not a wizard. Not a hero of prophecy. An ordinary muggle.
London, 1959.
A middle-aged Muggle - linguist, historian, specialist in Sumerian writing. He doesn't even suspect what the book he received will lead to.

This work also features a minor crossover with °Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple°
A unique and original book. The author should definitely keep writing. A book about Harry Potter that's set in France instead of Hogwarts. I like it. We'll see how it develops.
this is not gender bent ignore the other guy, this is pretty good however only read like 13 chapters and now letting the chapter stack up as were still in the child arc but from what i see so far it is pretty good
Yh much better than most HP fanfics on this site. Its creative and plays with the source material as a good fanfiction should. It also seems to be a translation but it must've been a well written one because even despite some loss of meaning through translation it still reads well.
Shameless Note: This story has no game system and doesn't use common "Harry Potter" clichés — and won't in the future. Instead, it features a rather unique magic system that explores how magic actually works.
Finally, something different! This fanfic is a breath of fresh air. Instead, it gives us a truly original take with a deep and unique magical system, compelling atmosphere, and a protagonist who feels real. I’m hooked, can’t wait for the next chapters!
Really, really, really good! A unique start, with a muggle mc who's about to be scammed by voldishorts, who has ambition and can be somewhat cold-blodded to get results, but still feels and gives warmth to others, very realistic mc tbh. Love the magic system, wish it was like that in reality lol. There's really only two little critiques I have, and that would be that the writing/grammar is a little mixed up here and there, which doesn't take away from the fact that it is a great story, but does sometimes disrupt the flow of reading. Might be good to copy and paste it through an ai and let it check for not only grammatical mistakes but to smooth the chapter out so to say (please don't let the ai all of a sudden write the chapters lol) The other thing is something that I can't even put into words correctly, but sometimes the conversations between mc and others feel wrong. Not in the sense that they are saying dumb things or anything, but more so in the flow of conversation and stuff, kind of like dialogues i wrote for school projects or something lmao. I don't know, its hard to describe, but don't take it to heart author, maybe its just me... idk. Sometimes less is more tho, especially for dialogues.

The story has great potential. Viktor is an Englishman born in the interwar period around 1920, which indicates that he would be between the end of adolescence and the beginning of adulthood during the beginning of World War II, which opens up space to place him in the middle of the conflict. The fact that he is already over 30 years old when he comes into contact with the magical world for the first time also makes the culture shock something destined to happen, mainly due to the paradox of the magical world being socially so advanced and backward at the same time from Arthur/Viktor's perspective. The time in which the story takes place and the mentality of the people of that period would also be something interesting to develop, considering that Arthur's personality would be very much based on his first life and the concepts and preconceptions developed during it.
A truly fascinating story. it stands out with its originality and offers something refreshingly different from most other Harry Potter fanfics.
Очень похоже на работу нослносл, или алчоза. Не могу вспомнить, кто именно написал про жизнь сурка на фикбуке, но один из этих авторов писал подобный фанфик о гарри поттере.
I love how they're depicting magic. it reminds me a lot of the Harry Potter fanfiction basilisk.
A very captivating story with no commonly used tropes and based on artificers. Truly engaging and excellent plotline.
Really enjoying the story so far! The translation is quite good - not perfect, but definitely readable and captures the atmosphere well. Please don’t drop it!
Did he meet Hayato or also meet Silkwat?
