Luna burst into her room, eyes sparkling with excitement.
She jumped around like a child on sugar, giggling and twirling with joy.
Luna (squealing with delight):
"Oooo! This is my villain room! So luxurious… so premium!"
Without wasting a second, she dashed to the closet to check out all the dresses inside.
As she flung it open, her eyes widened, and a wide smile bloomed across her face like spring sunshine.
In a blink, she pulled out all kinds of dresses, tossing them around in glee.
She held up a red bodycon slit dress and walked to the mirror, pressing it against herself to imagine how she'd look.
Luna (grinning):
"Wow… what a stunning face I've given my villain character. But that dumb girl in love left all this luxury behind just to go kill Elira. What a total dumbo!"
She paused, frowning suddenly.
"Wait a minute… why am I even blaming her? I wrote this stupid story!"
Her voice turned disgusted.
"Ugh! If I ever entered a real story, I'd never write something this ridiculous!"
Then she stared at her reflection again, slowly grinning and admiring her beauty.
Luna (playfully):
"Anyway, now I'm rich. I can buy anything I want!"
She started hopping again in excitement.
"Let's go shopping!"
Meanwhile, in another room…
Jesse stood quietly, her face tight with tension, thinking about what had just happened.
Bella entered from behind.
Bella (concerned):
"Mom? What happened? Why do you look so tense?"
Jesse (gritting her teeth in rage):
"That girl… Luna. That little b!tch. Who does she think she is?"***
Bella (confused):
"What did she do now?"
Jesse let out a frustrated sigh and started explaining everything—every single thing that happened from start to end.
Bella (shocked):
"What?! That stupid girl did that?! If she keeps acting like this, our entire plan will sink!"
Jesse (serious and cold):
"You're absolutely right. If she stays this way, everything we've built will collapse."
Bella (nervous):
"Then what do we do, Mom?"
Jesse's lips curled into a wicked smirk.
Jesse:
"Don't worry. I have a much better plan."
Back with Luna…
She had arrived at the mall, literally hopping like a kangaroo, too excited to walk straight.
She headed straight to the ladies' section and began admiring a premium designer dress.
But before she could touch it, a staff member rushed over and blocked her with a sharp tone.
Staff (rude and dismissive):
"Hey you! Don't touch that dress unless you're planning to buy it. Everything here is premium. We don't want fingerprints from someone who can't afford it."
Luna (thinking to herself):
"Ugh… what kind of people are in this novel? Did I seriously create characters this dumb?"
Then she calmly turned to the staff member, her tone flat but serious.
Luna:
"If I don't touch it, how am I supposed to know if I want to buy it?"
The staff member burst into laughter as if she had heard a hilarious joke.
Staff (mocking):
"You? Buy this dress? That's rich!"
Luna (narrowing her eyes):
"Why? Can't I?"
Staff (smirking):
"Look at yourself. You look like you just walked in from the street. Don't make me laugh."
Luna (internally panicking):
"Oh no… I forgot to change! I'm still wearing the dirty dress from the accident. No wonder I look like a mess."
She sighed inwardly.
"I should've worn that red dress before coming here."
The staff smiled smugly, crossing her arms.
Staff (mocking):
"Now get out. You cheap people always come here without knowing your limits, touching things you can't afford, dirtying the store, and wasting our time."
She scoffed and looked Luna up and down.
"Why are you just staring at me? Leave already!"
Luna stared calmly, her expression unreadable.
Luna (quietly but firmly):
"You talk big… but aren't you like us too? If you were rich, you wouldn't be working here. Don't forget, you're not above us."
The staff's face twisted in rage.
Staff (shouting):
"What did you just say? You're comparing me to you? Don't you dare put us in the same category, you poor bum!"
Without reacting, Luna walked a step closer to the counter.
Luna (coldly):
"Just pack all the dresses I looked at. Every single one."
The staff blinked, then burst out laughing as if Luna had cracked the funniest joke of the year.
Staff (laughing):
"You? Buy all of them? That's hilarious!"
Luna:
"Yes. You heard me right. I want to buy everything."
Staff (mocking):
"You slumdog… dreaming of designer wear? Wake up. This isn't a fantasy novel."
Luna said nothing. She simply pulled a sleek black card from her purse and held it out toward the staff. The black shimmer and engraved letters caught the staff's attention immediately.
Luna (calm and collected):
"Now, can I buy everything or not?"
The staff froze, staring at the card.
Staff (shocked):
"What?! A Black Card? This… this can't be yours!"
Luna:
"It is. Want to check?"
Staff (stammering):
"It must be fake. There's no way someone like you—looking like this—could own such a card."
Luna:
"If you think it's fake, swipe it. You'll know the truth."
The staff gritted her teeth and grabbed the card, walking off to grab the machine.
Staff (muttering):
"Fine. I'll prove it's fake and call the police myself."
Luna folded her arms, not a single trace of fear on her face.
Luna (casually):
"Sure. Go ahead."
The staff came back with the swipe machine, inserted the amount, and held it out.
Staff:
"Enter the PIN."
Luna calmly entered it. The moment the transaction succeeded, the machine beeped and printed the receipt.
The staff stood frozen, face pale, lips parted in disbelief.
Staff (whispering in fear):
"No… no, this can't be… it actually worked. This… this card is real?"
Luna (cool and sharp):
"If I'd stolen it, how would I know the PIN?"
Staff (panicking):
"B-but… you don't look rich! Your clothes—"
Luna (cutting her off):
"Oh… these old clothes? I forgot to change after that accident. My bad."
Staff (still in denial):
"No… you must be lying. You can't be someone rich. I-I'm calling the police!"
Luna (with rising irritation):
"Before you do anything else, call your manager first. Tell them Miss Luna Hart, heir of The Hart Group, is here… and your staff just insulted her."
The staff's face drained of all color. Her legs trembled.
Staff (trembling, sweating):
"M-Miss Hart? T-The Hart Group? No… no no no…"
She stumbled toward Luna, bowing repeatedly.
Staff (desperate):
"Ma'am! Please forgive me! I didn't recognize you. I was so wrong! Please—I'm sorry!"
Luna stared at her coldly, then looked away.
Luna (thinking):
"I just wanted a peaceful day… after everything that's already happened since the accident."
Luna (without looking at her):
"Fine. I forgive you. Now go and pack all the luxurious items I picked. Quickly."
Staff (grateful and teary):
"Yes, Ma'am! Thank you so much! You're so kind… so pure-hearted. As beautiful inside as you are outside."
Luna (calmly):
"I know I'm kind. Now hurry up and pack. I don't have all day. Do it before I change my mind."
Staff (panicking but obedient):
"Yes Ma'am! Right away! No need to wait—I'll pack it all immediately!"
As the staff rushed off, Luna watched quietly.
Luna (thinking):
"People change so fast when they see money. I've never seen it this clearly before. The moment wealth speaks, everyone else goes silent."
Within a few minutes, the staff returned with bags full of premium clothes, still sweating, hands shaking.
Staff (nervously):
"Ma'am… here are your things."
Luna said nothing. She simply glanced at her, gave a faint smirk, and walked out.
Outside the mall…
Luna stopped, her shopping bags in hand. A breeze brushed her face.
She thought back to what just happened.
The way that woman treated her—like she was worthless—simply because of her clothes.
And how quickly her attitude flipped once money came into the picture.
Luna (thinking):
"So it's true… people are bought and sold in front of money."
Then she remembered her old life—those struggling days as a broke writer, when she didn't even have money for a single meal.
A small, bittersweet smile tugged at her lips.
But then her eyes lit up again with fire.
Luna (to herself):
"No, Luna. Don't feel sad. You're not that person anymore. You're strong. You're confident. And this life—you'll live it to the fullest."
She raised her hand toward the sky, shouted with joy:
Luna (loud and free):
"Luna, just enjoy your life!"
In her excitement, her shopping bags tumbled to the ground.
But she didn't care.
People nearby stared at her, confused by her strange behavior.
But Luna? She laughed loudly and danced like no one was watching—joyous, weird, and absolutely free.
