After Frederick was done mentally listing the things he needed to deal with in the future, he grabbed his headband—the one Charles Xavier had given him—with a smile. He quickly placed it in a precious box and closed it, not bothering to look at it further. He set it aside and grabbed a piece of Carbonadium that his predecessor had obtained after a fight with Omega Red.

Shortly after doing so and feeling nothing, Frederick brushed it off. He quickly grabbed more items, including a tiny piece of Fantomex's mask. Though small, it contained telepathy-blocking ceramics, making it useful for his plans. 'Wait, I nearly forgot to check. They might not even exist here. Though every universe has to have a Franklin Richards and therefore a Mr. Fantastic that doesn't mean I shouldn't check.'

With haste, Frederick went through his phone and typed "Baxter Building," seeing Reed Richards pop up along with the Fantastic Four. He smiled before gathering every item he had "borrowed" from the FBI before his resignation. Once he had everything, he put it all into the same box as the psionic headband. Confirming that everything was there, he started drafting a letter.

Specifically for Reed Richards, he wrote about what would happen if Reed tried using his son as a "everything is better now" tool, referencing the events in Fantastic Four issue #32. While he didn't explain how they got there, he vaguely hinted that the person who fixed everything was connected to Reed. He also stated that Reed shouldn't look too much into who this person was, as he would know, while encouraging him by saying that despite his faults, he was still being a good dad.

After reviewing his letter for a while, he decided to bring up the Memorium Device and how Reed could use it on him. He doubted Reed would see the same things he did; it was like getting so high that you saw reality differently, yet the same, for a short while. You could only recall your true reality while not so vividly remembering what happened.

Since that was the case, Frederick recommended a lie detector to prove his truth-telling. ''That should be it for now. Ah, I nearly forgot to write a letter about what I would like him to do with the provided materials.'' Quickly, he wrote down what he would like made in exchange, then packaged everything. Shortly after doing so, he got back up, stretched, and got into his car, bumping Michael Jackson's "Beat It."

Upon arriving, Frederick waited in line to get into the Baxter Building with a smile on his face. After 35 minutes, he was finally in upon arriving inside the Baxter Building and quickly looking around, Frederick found Herbie, aka H.E.R.B.I.E., waiting for him. Without hesitation, he walked over to the robot, who, surprisingly, could express love.

Seeing him, Herbie asked, "What is your purpose for coming here today, sir?" With a smile, Frederick replied, "I would like to give a gift to Reed Richards. Though I know he might not even open it, it's fine. As a fan of his, I would love to give this to him anyway. Thank you for your time, Herbie. Have a pleasant rest of your day."

Quickly, Frederick handed Herbie the box containing his letters and goods. After a brief moment of hesitation, he turned to leave. "You may enter, Frederick Duncan. Through the eyes of Herbie, I've assessed what's in that box you provided." Frederick was a little surprised but turned around and headed to the elevator, guided by Herbie.

'From all those fanfics I read, I forgot how Reed Richards isn't just some entitled prick who thinks he's the smartest and is barely human without paying attention to anyone. It's like some nobody popping into the universe could cuck him, which is really just impossible. But I digress.

Man, it's strange. As I'm heading up to the 41st floor, all I can think about is that I was in the mindset of a fanfic reader and not a comic book reader as I should have been. The only reason Reed acts that way in fanfics is simply because the writers don't seem to get that Reed has his own ways of expressing himself.

Though it might not be too in-your-face in some comics, that is indeed the case for some characters. Like Sue Storm, who straight-up says it like it is. I think this happened when Namor tried courting her and brought up how Reed didn't even care for her or some nonsense like that.'

After pondering how this world was partially messed up by the fanfics he had read, the elevator finally reached the 41st floor, where Reed Richards was currently staying. Once the doors opened, they revealed the nearly alien technology made by Reed.

The man himself stood at the entrance, waiting. With a smile, he stretched back his arm from god knows where to offer a polite handshake as he greeted Frederick. "Salutations, Frederick Duncan! If you would please follow me to the lie detector, and oh, you can put that box over there." After saying that, Reed proceeded to walk toward a random device lying to the side that looked kind of like a sci-fi laser gun but not really.

Smiling, Frederick was relieved that his mind wasn't going to be probed, as he had previously expected Reed to do based on the fanfics he read that portrayed Reed as an insensitive asshole who would do that on a moment's notice if he suspected anything wrong.

He quickly placed his box off to the side where Reed pointed and followed him. Once they arrived, Frederick could see Reed start flipping different switches on the gun. After he was done, Reed grabbed a helmet and, with his pinky finger, passed it over to Frederick.

Frederick quickly grabbed it and put it on. A sticky note, probably placed there by Reed, indicated how to use it. After getting comfortable with it on his head, he spoke up. "So, Mr. Reed Richards, how is this going to work, if you don't mind me asking?"

Reed, nearly done fiddling with the sci-fi-looking gun, stated, "It's simple, really. I'm just going to shoot you with this. After the energy from this is in your system, it will send a signal to that device on your head when you tell the truth, a half-truth, or a lie."

After he said that, Frederick waited about 30 more seconds. Finally, Reed turned around, this time with both of his hands at a normal length. Slowly, as if giving Frederick time to prepare himself, he lifted the gun. Without any sound coming from the device, it shot straight toward the middle of Frederick's chest.

Feeling a strange cold sensation when Reed did so, Frederick asked if that wasn't supposed to happen. Reed merely nodded, stating it was. He then started asking, "So, ex-FBI agent Frederick, is what you wrote in that letter for me true?"

"Yes, it is mostly true. I just omitted some details. If I didn't, I could have messed up the timeline too much, causing some key people not to be born."

To that statement from Frederick, the device on his head glowed dark green. Reed then asked something else. "Now that that's out of the way, why did you put those different things in the box?"

Pausing for a brief moment, Reed opened his mouth to wonder if he should be blunt. In the end, he decided he should just be honest. "To block mind readers and reality warpers from messing with my mind. Based on what I've learned dealing with mutants, there's no way a mutant wouldn't decide to mess with it just because they were bored."

"I see. That is a fear I would have too. If I didn't already have different ways to counter such things, how would you like your device to be made? Yes, I've already made it halfway and kept in the function that allows you to connect to that one telepath's mind. Though I can destroy that function if needed."

Without the slightest surprise, Frederick knew Reed would do something like that he told Reed that he would like it fused to his hair or scalp and if that couldn't be done any part of him really since he believe in Reed being able to make that best out of what he's got no matter what it is.

Contact lenses were provided to him along with a nearly transparent suit ''Put these lenses in and they fuse with your eyes and once you put this suit on it fuses into your body I made it based on an alien suit of are good friend don't worry it's completely safe, oh and my number is in your phone I also did you the liberty of getting rid of all the bugging devices inside of it.''

After saying that and leaving Frederick could only sigh and smile thinking 'Finally with this I can sleep well at night.' Nearly forgetting he took off the helmet gently setting it where Reed had it before walking out with a smile on his face and driving back home.

Just in case anything happened he quickly stopped at a fast food subway knock off ordered food then went into there bathrooms to wash his hands before putting in the contacts after he was done we went into a stall put the skin suit thing on and after he did the two fused into his body.

Smiling he washed his hands again and upon arriving outside he grabbed his order then walked outside to the side of the building noticing the homeless person he walked by earlier he gave his order to them before getting in his car and driving back home.
