The World Alliance Bank.
Spanning most of the Cosmic Human Civilization's territory, this massive, fully AI-operated bank dominated the banking industry. From investments to loans, it did it all and was responsible for managing the finances of countless trillions of people.
"Although I was gifted 100,000 Cosmic Human Alliance Coins for becoming a Level 2 Citizen and 3 million for Level 3, that isn't quite enough for what I need to buy."
That was where the World Alliance Bank came in, as this banking giant allowed all Cosmic Human Citizens Level 2 and above to take out loans. And best of all, the loans were interest-free up to a certain amount.
For Level 2 Citizens, that amount was 350,000.
For Level 3 Citizens, it was 8,000,000.
Immediately maxing out his interest-free loan limit of eight million, Jin observed his staggering wealth.
"Over nine million Cosmic Human Alliance Coins."
Enough to last an average household thousands of years, qualifying as generational wealth.
To the previous Jin, this amount of money in his bank would've been more fantasy than reality.
But now…
"If I'm to continue down the Evolver Path, then I should quickly get used to big numbers, for a mere few million isn't even enough to satisfy the yearly cultivation needs of a Rank 2 Evolver."
Nonetheless, with his 9 million-plus Cosmic Human Alliance Coins, Jin proceeded to purchase in bulk something called an 'Energy Orb.'
An Energy Orb for most low-rank Evolvers was simply a quick way to replenish energy while in battle. Very rarely did anyone ever use them to improve their cultivation.
However, were they Jin?
An able man would end up wasting a lot of energy getting from point A to point B without a guide.
Then there were the able, like Jin, who knew the steps he had to take in his cultivation.
Give 1 dollar to both kinds of people, and Jin would efficiently use all 100 pennies, while the blind man would waste 99 of his pennies.
WAAA!
The air wildly blew around in the shitty house before abruptly dying down as Jin snapped his eyes open.
"Pinnacle Dantian Formation Realm," he declared. "Or the equivalent of the peak of 1st Rank Level 12."
As he consolidated his rapidly achieved cultivation, Jin watched as a Mailing Drone left through his window. It had just delivered the last of the marble-sized Energy Orbs to Jin, attracting the attention of a bunch of nosy people in the slums.
Those who could afford mailing services in this area were extremely rare.
They wondered which boss could possibly be playing around with them, the lowlifes.
Little did they know that this 'Boss' was no better than the rest of them, probably even worse off, no more than a few hours ago.
"My Dantian has been reformed, returning to its original size as well."
In the Martial Dao Evolutionary Path, when one reached the Dantian Formation Realm, progression happened by increasing the size of your Dantian through Integrated Essence Refinement.
A 1-centimeter-wide Dantian would put you at the Early Dantian Formation Stage.
1 inch would be the Middle Stage.
Then 1 foot and 1 meter for Late and Peak stages, respectively.
With Jin's glowing Dantian over 9 meters in size, his cultivation represented the very pinnacle of the Dantian Formation Realm. In the Main World, this would almost make him equal in combat power to a weak Rank 2 Evolver.
"To further progress past this point in my cultivation, I'll need to carve out a new Path that would breach the wide gap separating Rank 1 and Rank 2," Jin pondered.
"However, seeing as that'll take quite a while unless I experience another world crossover, it's time I leave this shitty place."
Getting up, he walked out of the house that appeared to be just one strong breeze away from falling apart.
And for the first time in his life, he… left the slums.
…
Upper Residential 'A-15' District.
Lotus Lake Housing Agency.
"Who is that bum?"
"He's so shabbily dressed… Did he jump out of a dumpster?"
"He stinks as well!"
The terribly concealed whisperings of fancily dressed folk in the wide Agency gallery room carried over to Jin. He heard what they were saying as clear as day.
However, why should he care about the buzzing of ants?
There wasn't even one amongst the clamoring fools in the Agency gallery room who was an Evolver.
A couple might be Level 2 Citizens, as this was a relatively high-class residential area in Redrock City; there was green grass and everything. But that was it; they were all weak.
So weak that one casual punch of Jin's would not only evaporate them all, it would also destroy the Agency gallery room.
'Or at least that would be the outcome if not for HIM…' Jin thought, his eyes narrowing on a gaunt old man presiding over the gallery room as some sort of VIP Guest.
Like Jin, this gaunt old man was a Pinnacle Rank 1 Evolver. He walked the Venom Amalgamation Evolutionary Path and was currently touring the Agency, viewing the various digital housing models alongside a young 19- or 20-year-old woman who should be his granddaughter.
'By how the Managers and Agents are so frantically attending to that old man, he must be a very important figure,' Jin surmised.
A normal Pinnacle Rank 1 Evolver, despite commanding respect from 99.9% of the population, wouldn't receive treatment like this from a wealthy enterprise like the Lotus Lake Housing Agency. As one of the top ten housing agencies in Redrock City, featuring some of the most top-class and highly desirable homes, possibly only Rank 2 Evolvers or Level 3 Citizens would be treated in such a way.
So then why were the Managers and the Agents so desperate to please the gaunt old man?
Observing closer, Jin noticed something that lit a lightbulb inside his head.
[Your Understanding is Against Heaven. By closely observing a mysterious old man circulate the Technique 'Mist Veil Art,' you comprehend the superior Technique 'Void Concealment.']
'An aura-concealing Technique,' Jin thought to himself.
A Technique the gaunt old man practiced allowed him to disguise his true cultivation level.
'As for what Rank he's actually at…'
