Chapter 51: Time to Say Goodbye

Chapter 51: Time to Say Goodbye

Uta stared into the distance, a hint of regret in her eyes, but not a trace of resentment toward Shanks and the others. She knew that Shanks was fighting an unimaginably strong enemy just so that Limejuice and Hongo could be here. It was all so Hongo could perform Yelena's final check-up and so Limejuice could come see her on behalf of the others.

Seeing her expression, Limejuice's heart sank. He leaned down and patted Uta's shoulder, saying with a smile, "Uta, Shanks and the others can't make it here for now. Can you forgive them?"

To this, Uta looked up and gave Limejuice a brilliant smile in return. "But I'm not blaming them," she said cheerfully.

A gratified smile appeared on Limejuice's face. It was only at this moment that he truly realized how much Uta had changed.

Soon, Hongo finished his examination. He packed up his equipment, stood up, and smiled at everyone present. "Yelena's illness is completely cured! There are no problems at all!"

Hongo quickly walked over to Uta, knelt down, and stroked her soft, long hair. "Uta," he said softly, "we have to go back and fight. The longer we delay here, the more danger Shanks and the others are in. Can you stay with Louis and the others for a while longer? We'll come back to get you after we've completely shaken off Garp!"

Uta looked at Louis and Yelena, then responded with a radiant smile. "Hey, Hongo, I've already decided to leave with Louis and the others!"

Hongo and Limejuice froze, then glanced at Louis. The next moment, a faint smile appeared on both their faces. "Is that so? Well, Shanks and we will respect your decision!"

"Yes, I know!" Uta tried hard to make her tone sound casual.

Nearby, Louis glanced at Uta, then turned his head to look at the distant sea, taking in the fierce battle raging there.

"Uta..." Louis said.

"Hm?" Uta looked at Louis's profile, not understanding.

Louis turned to meet Uta's purple eyes and asked softly, "Do you want to see Shanks and say goodbye to him in person?"

At these words, Uta, Hongo, and Limejuice all froze, their eyes filled with disbelief.

The next moment, Hongo and Limejuice came to their senses and said with grave expressions, "Louis, Garp is no easy opponent. Shanks is only managing to cause him trouble!"

"My strength may not be equal to Shanks's, but if I were to fight Garp, I could delay him for longer than he can," Louis said calmly from the reef. He then ignited the flames on his back, and a wave of heat washed over the two men.

The ignition of the flames on his back instantly boosted Louis's already superhuman defense—which in its normal state far surpassed his clansmen—to a new level. A golden light blossomed, and firefly-like particles of light scattered, merging into the two men's bodies and instantly healing their injuries.

Amidst the dazzling light, Louis spoke, his tone filled with endless confidence.

"The strongest defense, the strongest healing, and one of the world's top speeds all in one body. Who can kill me?"

Louis had awakened Observation Haki at birth. To this day, not even Shanks could match him in that regard. Add to that his natural monstrous talent, which was no less than that of Big Mom, Kaido, or Bullet.

The strongest defense, the Life-Life Fruit, innate Observation Haki, and a natural-born monster's talent—an ordinary person with any one of these abilities would be enough to become a rare powerhouse in the world. And Louis had all of them combined. This was the source of his confidence to venture into the New World at the age of 10.

To use gaming terms from his past life, Louis was a super BOSS who could group heal, had higher defense than a player in a full set of divine gear, and had a health bar so long it couldn't fit on the screen. For him, even a top-tier monster was someone he could tangle with. He might not be the best fighter at his young age, but he was definitely the best tank!

Hearing his words, the others were stunned, frozen in place as if struck by lightning.

Uta was the first to recover. She wanted to speak up and stop him, but Yelena reached out and stopped her.

Louis raised his hand, summoning the Island Cloud from the sky. "Uta, Yelena, you two board the Island Cloud first. I'll be right back!"

Then, he spread his wings, took to the air, and disappeared from the reef.

Accelerate, and accelerate again!

Propelled by the scorching flames, Louis instantly tore through the sound barrier, his astonishing speed continuously increasing. The searing flames left two golden fire trails behind him. In his high-speed flight, the atmosphere was disturbed, and the chaotic airflow split the sea in two, kicking up two hundred-meter-high waves in his wake.

Before his figure arrived, his powerful aura had already reached the perception of both warring parties. Garp, Shanks, Beckman, and the others instinctively stopped fighting and turned to look in the direction the aura was coming from.

Garp frowned as he looked at the distant firelight. Shanks and Beckman both froze, because the rapidly approaching aura was extremely familiar to them.

The next moment, a spear of blazing fire shot from the edge of their vision, its speed so fast that it was almost impossible to capture with the naked eye. In an instant, the spear of fire traversed the sea, vaporizing large amounts of seawater along the way, and aimed directly for Garp's face.

The golden spear of fire was reflected in Garp's pupils. The oncoming heat and undisguised malice told him everything.

"I see. So the Red-Haired brat has an accomplice here?" The immensely powerful spear of fire didn't make Garp flinch. Instead, the corners of his mouth turned up, revealing two rows of white teeth. The next moment, his right arm turned black. He clenched his fist, twisted his waist, and threw a punch.

BOOM—

The spear of fire and the black iron fist collided, and a deafening sound exploded. The rolling sound wave and shockwave combined, creating ripples in the atmosphere. The dissipating impact directly created a giant wave nearly a hundred meters high on the sea.

With one blow, the spear shattered, turning into golden flames that scattered, igniting the atmosphere and dyeing the sky gold.

At the very center of the explosion, the burly, bear-like figure stood firm in mid-air. Amidst the sea of fire, Garp waved his hand, creating a chaotic gale that dispersed the searing flames.

Just then, a figure with spread white wings flashed past, kicking up a hundred-meter wave that separated Garp's vision from Shanks and the others.

Louis turned his head to look at Shanks, his lips moved slightly, and he made a gesture towards the sky. The next moment, Louis's figure, with a fiery trail like that of a jet engine, disappeared from the surface of the sea. Two golden arcs rose from the ocean, connecting the azure sea with the cloudy sky.

"So fast!" On the distant warship, many soldiers felt their vision blur, and the suddenly appearing figure was already thousands of meters in the sky.

The brilliant fiery trail was a stunning sight. If a dragon-loving hunter were to see this, they would surely exclaim, "It's a Comet!"

...

Amidst the white clouds, Louis, bathed in fire and golden light, hovered in the sky with his flawless white wings spread. His excellent vision, combined with his Observation Haki, firmly locked onto Garp, who was using Geppo to stay airborne.

Two gazes met across a distance of several thousand meters.

The flames coiling around his wings expanded. Under Louis's control, they scattered and reshaped into spear after spear of fire, which then shot down.
