Niverea gulped nervously as the carriage neared the city of Bupaytgr.
Her breath caught the moment their wagon rolled past the towering buildings. She hadn’t expected the place to be this different.
She stuck her head out of the carriage window, eyes wide as they scanned the unfamiliar streets. So many people, so many creatures, each going about their daily lives in a rhythm that felt both chaotic and mesmerizing.
“Wow,” she whispered, awestruck. “This place is... huge. So different.”
Cecilia nodded beside her. “There’s much more to it than you think. It’s a world far from where you came from. You’ll see just how different soon enough.”
Niverea scratched her neck nervously, debating how to approach what she wanted to say next. It wasn’t exactly hard to ask, but... she hated feeling like a burden. And somehow, in just the short time she’d known Cecilia, she felt like she’d already dumped half her problems on her.
She cleared her throat.
