Chapter 42: The Cheated One

Chi did not speak. He just stared at Wu for five minutes.

Wu put a false persona but whoever is staring at him, really looking at him, will have doubts in his heart. What's more, Chi's eyes are just like meat grinders. He looks like he will take your will and chew it into pieces.

After a long silence, Chi finally opened his mouth.

"How come you have not come to play in the past few days?"

Wu felt the forgiveness and willingness to cherish emotions for a long time just to ask this sentence. In fact, those unruly words that preceeded Chi were to pave the way for these difficult words. What he really cares about is just this small matter, why didn't you come looking for me?

Wu replied very casually. "Why not? I don't want to play anymore."

Chi's face changed. He dropped Xiao Chu Bao and moved in front of Wu setting his eyes on him.

"Why did you want to play before?"

Wu felt that a dark cloud was over his head and was pressed on his chest.

After a long time without responding, Chi suddenly patted Wu's head and pushed his whole body down the couch. The force on Wu's forehead was so hard that he was struggling with the fierce pressure from Chi's hand.

Chi looked at him in an awe-inspiring manner and raised his tone.

"TALK!!!!"

Wu's fear of death and bitterness kept him from screaming.

Jiang Xiao Shuai gave a cough and tried to alleviate the tension.

"You have been so close to him. He's caught a cold. Don't push him around."

"You have a cold?"

Wu's eyeball which was still translucent was chaotic in the moment. He was tired and sullen still staring at Chi but turned into a spirited man. Though insane, it's an inspirational image.

"Why would you listen to that crap? I'm fine."

"I'm speaking nonsense?" Jiang Xiao Shuai continued to add oil and vinegar to his masculinity.

"You came back sweating while catching the drizzle of the wind and rain. Is it that impossible for you to catch cold? To catch few wild rats, you stayed out during the big cold days then fell into the river ditch and burned to 41 degrees."

Wu replied in a tacit sense, "Jiang Xiao Shuai, shut the fuck up!"

Jiang Xiao Shuai continued to yell and said, "He is addicted to smashing bricks! Since he wear a crotch with holes in my eyes, all my good things are already stuffed into people's clothes. He has a fever and he doesn't even dare to show it. He is afraid to pass it unto others."

Jiang Xiao Shuai turned his head to Chi, "Mr. Chi, you tell me. If this person was to froze in the river ditch, how much will the community suffer?"

Chi's head was raining with explanations. Wu saw this figure at the basketball court.

"Wu Ge!"

The young gentleman's clear voice came from the door.

Perfect time! Wu rushed to push Chi, picked up his clothes and looked at his younger brother.

"What happened?"

There was a bit of anxiousness on the younger brother's face. "The snakes.... More have died."

This time, Wu had a reaction. He quickly got up from the sofa, hurriedly changed his shoes and walked toward the younger brother. While he was walking, he asked, "What's going on? How did they die?"

Chi followed them at the back.

When they arrived at the two rooms and saw the snakes that died, Chi quizzed Wu. "Do you keep snakes?"

Wu was so anxious and gritted his teeth that he couldn't reply.

Chi lifted a snake, looked at it and tossed it back.

"Oh, none of them are going to survive."

Wu did not know this news until he was told. He immediately blinked.

"Why? When my master sold them to me, he said that these were wild snakes. That you should feed them wild animals first. My Cheng Zi was feeding them wild animals and fed two artificial feeds together."

"It doesn't matter what you feed them." Chi's voice was faint. "It's the breed batch that's all wrong."

"Bullshit!" Wu was shocked and eloquent. "I was an apprentice for two months and I am already familiar with them. Their death must be because they ate something bad."

Wu then told the younger brother to break up the big and wild mice in the next bucket. He fed it to the snake for a while.

Chi was not in the mood to argue with Wu. He put an arm around the bucket and walked straight out. His pet, Xiao Chu Bao, spent many days hungry and he had chance to change his meal.

Wu was anxious. "What are you doing?"

Chi took it for granted, "Your snakes aren't going to live. Why would you waste food?"

Wu chased him to the door. Chi stood by the door and asked why it's cold in the farm.

"Which farm technique do you use to upkeep snake farm?"

Wu replied solemnly, "Wang's snake farm! If you don't believe me, you go and find out. His family reputation is very good and he can not do such a thing."

Chi did not say anything and drove away directly.
