Kael stood by the fire again.
But this time, it wasn't his.
The flames that danced at the edge of the village glowed too hot,too wild,and with a color Kael didn't recognize—white-blue, like a dying star.
Villagers whispered of the "fire ghost"that walked at night with Lyra's face.
Kael rushed back to the cottage.
He found her asleep—
—but the walls had melted.
Lyra's Condition
She didn't wake.
Her breathing was shallow.
Her body… untouched by flame.
But around her:
Books had burst into ash
Metal had warped
Caelia's time-watch had stopped ticking
And then she whispered:
"Kael… I'm sorry…"

Kael used Dreamstep to enter Lyra's unconscious.

In the center stood Lyra, older than before.
She wept, holding a burning doll.
